Young Love (a poem)
You see him, and he sees you,
For a second.
You turn away as does he.
Could it be? Did he notice you, too?
Yes!
He asks you out, and you say yes.
This is how it goes... for a while.
Now it's "Boyfriend and Girlfriend."
All from that one look, so short, could this happen?
There are kisses and hugs and Valentines,
Until one day, another girl looks his way.
He says he doesn't want to hurt you,
But his words mean nothing BUT hurt.
So you go, you cry, you dream of revenge.
But it will pass. It always does.
And till the day you find someone new, you find yourself.
Because you are strong; you can go it alone.
