Bonne Anniversaire à moi (happy birthday to me!)
Yesterday my family got a nice surprise visit from an aunt and uncle of mine and their 2-year-old son, my cousin. It seemed as if they just appeared out of the blue! I was halfway asleep in my room when I heard the familiar sound of my mom coming in from work plus the also familiar, but very unexpected voice of my uncle. I thought I was dreaming to be hearing his voice but I got out of bed anyhow, dream or no to greet him and my aunt. Even though I could hardly believe they were there, I somehow knew they really were. And I was thinking to myself, “I don’t care how or why . . . I’m just so happy to see the three of you, especially li’l man, here.”
They said since they were staying close by in San Antonio they thought they’d stop by real quick before they headed back to Georgia.

Yes, I was happy to see my aunt and uncle, but I was even more overjoyed to see my cousin of almost 2 years. I helped look after him over the summer when I visited the same aunt and uncle that were now visiting us. He really is such a precious little cutie. I could have cried tears of joy because I at first thought that I wouldn’t see him again for another year or so after this past summer and there he was in front of me again. I really hope we can join the rest of our family for Thanksgiving this year, since the only time we’ve ever gone was two years ago. And it was so much fun.

I want to tell about the circus I went to, but it’s late so I’ll do so later so in the morning I can wake up and enjoy the day!

Today is also Veterans Day and the birthday of an author and somewhat contemporary artist by the name of Kurt Vonnegut. I love his short story by the name of “Harrison Bergeron”. It’s really interesting in its own way and I hope you might find some time to read it since it isn’t too long and if you wind up liking it, you have me to thank! And if you do read it, I would like to hear what you think of it.
