little tidbits about aurus that nobody knows or cares about! whoo!
So... I'm really bored, and I feel very quirky, and I really don't want to start my essays quite yet... so I think I'll have some fun and illuminate a few of the quirks of aurus. Uhm, whoo.
...
I have become a metalhead. I now like Metallica, Audioslave, Green Day, some Linkin Park and System of a Down, and naturally, Led Zeppelin.
I will be a shinobi for halloween. I'm doing a Susumu-like costume and borrowing my brother's black wooden wakizashi. I was going to make a Shinsengumi uniform, but I told my mother what I needed for it, and she said, "...no."
I have a trademark anime scar on my left hand. It looks like a swoosh. I tell people I got it while battling enemy shinobi on the rooftops.
I have a fedora, which I like to wear with my trenchcoat when I go out to the grocery store at eleven in the evening.
I am pitifully paranoid around most humans.
I have a drawer in my dresser devoted completely to cloth ribbons.
I obsess over song lyrics that I hear in the car, and usually have to run to the computer and find out what song they're from as soon as I get home.
I am developing a strange obsession with gloves.
... w00t. ... as for the random words that you all contributed since my last entry, thanks so much! ^__^ I'll get to work on the product of your minds very soon, I promise.

*squishes her Sesshoumaru plushie*
I am obscenely bored. I know that I SHOULD be working on the Project: Bard script, but I really am not in the mood.
Instead... I think I will try something...
I want everyone who reads this to give me a completely and totally random word. Anything at all. I don't care how you pick it - whether it's your favorite word, or the first word you think of, or you open to a random page in the dictionary and use the first word you see... just give me a random word. I'll do something with them later that will be entertaining.
That's all for now. Thankee!

FMA!
OH MY FREAKING GODS.
*wails and blabbers incoherently, then collapses in Roy's lap (again)*
If you have not seen the last FMA...
... WATCH. IT. WATCH IT. NOW. GO. GO!
... *scurries away to get more tissues*

Apologies.
Blegh.
Sorry to everyone, I haven't been commenting much lately.... like I said earlier, school sort of turned around and kicked my ass this weekend, so I've been without time. I've got some big projects coming up and I think those will be eating up most of my time for a while.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has been commenting. I'll be sure to return the favor soon.
Hurrah for Title 16! *rubs eyes* and love and peace, as always.

... w00t.
Whoo! My site is finally all geisha-ed out. I know, I took plenty long enough, didn't I...
... oh well. Anyway, not much is going on... school, as always. My astronomy class starts tomorrow, and I'm psyched for that... the college application process has begun, and that's got me a little nervous...
... anyway, things aren't too bad. The geisha-theme is really all that's new.
*Nozomi-chan presents everyone with tea and biscuits*
Those of you in hurricane-land, please stay safe!

random manga-related blurb
I'll clarify this right off the bat, I can barely hold a pencil.
Now that that's out of the way... I think I mentioned at one point or another that some friends of mine are starting an online manga... I really have no idea what I said about it, but that's OK... because it's more or less official that we will be fully launching the website and actually starting to display the manga on Sunday, October 31st (yes, we did that on purpose ^_^). We plan to start with about five pages, and then release one to two pages every Sunday (until it's finished).
Anyway, the website is partially up (www.cucurbitalane.net/projectbard/) with some of the concept art and information, if anyone is interested. Any feedback on any of it is greatly appreciated!
I will say again that I cannot hold a pencil. The art is done by two of my friends, which leaves me and another friend of mine who write and such.
So... that's really all for now. I'd just like to hear opinions if there are any, and if there aren't... well, I've done my part to advertise. *sheepish*
aurus spent far too much of the afternoon taking screencaps of Souji and is now off to bed. Aku Soku Zan!

Eep, squirrel? Where?
Hee.
Anyway, not much to say. I've become rather fond of Metallica, which is unusual. I don't usually like really harsh stuff... but songs like Nothing Else Matters and Fade To Black aren't too harsh for me *grin* The Unforgiven II is also pretty good... and For Whom The Bell Tolls, even though that one is really rough.
Anyway... thanks to everyone who's signed my guestbook. I'm going around and signing in return now. Thanks ^__^
I earned some money helping at a garage sale... and I'm taking a step to organize my finances. I know I'm going to want more money than last year for SakuraCon, so I'm going to try something... I'm going to put 25% of everything I earn each week into a jar, and that will be saved for upcoming "big events" like conventions or faires or things like that. That way, I won't feel too guilty about spending money on trivial stuff like manga (and food), since it won't be coming out of what I'm saving up. Currently, that looks like it'll equal out to about ten dollars a month (I figure I'll keep track of things and add it monthly). Kind of pathetic... but it'll get me by.
Anyway, that's all for now. Aku Soku Zan! (or, since I'm being happy now, "drink my dustcloth green tea!" ^__^)

*stabs modem*
Internet seems to be grouchy. It keeps quitting out, then turning back on randomly... I was not meant to understand the intricacies of the universe.
I'm a little out of it... I feel as though there may be a cold in my near future. I sneezed yesterday, and my head almost exploded... and now, I kind of have that... "yuck" feeling in my brain, you know? Sinuses are fine, but my mind is just... not here and not happy. Mleh.
(And in case you don't remember from last year, yes, I do tend to get quite coldish around this time of year. 'Tis the season. Oh, joy.)
... aaanyway. I should do homework, but I don't want to quite yet. I kind of want a nap, but I don't really feel like that, either. How about I sit and poke at the CD player until it works? That sounds good.
Love and peace! (I need a new phrase. gack. Aku Soku Zan sounds good, but when it comes right down to it... that makes me sound kind of like a nazi. But not quite.)

Nope, I'm not dead this time, either.
(But I know you were hoping! Don't deny it!)...
Anyway, school started on Tuesday. It's kind of cool, since I'm taking classes at the community college, and I only have four at the high school... and since BCC hasn't started yet, I'm only in school until eleven ^.^; that makes me happy. I can't wait for my BCC classes to start, though, they should be fun. Astronomy and anthropology. Once I finish up those and calculus, I'll have all I need to graduate... then I'll try and fit into some Japanese before the year is out. I also want to do kendo, if it's offered at BCC (if it's not, there's a local kendo club that I know of, so that's an option as well).
Anyway, that's about all for me. I went on an overnight visit to Reed College, and that was awesome, so that's officially my first choice... I really hope I get in. I adore that school so much.
So... I hope everyone is having a good weekend, and that this hurricane trouble will all be over soon!
Love and peace!
