"Deluged", by Steve Gonslaves:
Hey everybody. How's it going?
I had a bad night last night. REALLY bad. But I won't spend the better part of the post spewing about it like I did yesterday. Just know that things over here are going down the toilet and straight to Hell.
I'm working on my essay at the moment. Please pray that I can get that over and done with.
I finished vol. 9 of Ruroni Kenshin the other night. Man, such a great series. I can't wait 'till Josh gets some more Kenshin volumes. I can't mooch them off'a him 'till he has 'em! XD
Watsuki creates some of the absolute best characters, doesn't he? I'm big fan of Misao, myself. She's just got such a great personality, and she's so cute! She adds a lot of comedy to the series, both in dialog and action.
I also think Hajime is another great character. He's very stoic and mysterious. Plus, he's got those CREEPY-LOOKING eyes. *shiver* But what I like most about his design is how even though he doesn't seem like it at all, he's still a good-guy. Even now I have a hard time thinking of him that way. But man, he was a GREAT addition to the Kenshin cast.
I haven't heard Hajime's voice-acting in English yet, because I've only seen the Kensing anime up through the end of the story about Yutaro and Raijuta. However, I've heard the voice acting off nearly all the other characters, and though many may disagree with me, I'm very impressed with how they did it.
Unlike the Inuyasha English voices (at least Inuyasha himself), the voice actors for Kenshin are very talented in my opinion. On top of that, Kaoru, Yahiko, Tsubame, Hanya, Hyotoko, Beshimi, Misao, Megumi, Aioshi, Kanryu Takeda and especially Kenshin and Sanoske sound just like I imagined they would sound. I especially notice the difference in the inflection between Hitokiri-Kenshin and "Oro"-Kenshin. Man, that's some real talent, isn't it?
Like I said, I didn't get this far in the anime. But I did get this far in the manga, and it was funny! Apparently, Saito thinks of Misao as a "Weasel Girl", Kaoru like a Takanuki and Megumi as a Kitsune. I guess they look a little similar (such as Miss Megumi having the most angular features), but I still think it's pretty random. But it's funny none the less! XD
Alright everybody, I'll see you tomorrow.

A mix-up in the prop-department on the set of Marilyn Manson’s new video resulted in the Holy Water accidentally being added to the washing-machine that contained his outfit. This was the result:
"It burns! It burns!"
Time of Post: 5:54 PM Eastern Time
Listening to: "8 Days a Week", by The Beatles
Hey everybody how's it going? Today started off kinda' rough for me. Though it's probably going to be filed under "Too Much Information", my rear end has been in heavy pain recently. This is probably due to the fact I'm lugging 80 lbs. of school-supplies around every school day, as well as sitting in hard chairs for the first time in 2 months.
On top of that, I've already screwed up on my homework. Mr. Dickerson handed us a worksheet at the last minute of our last class period as we were heading out the door. He didn't even tell us it was homework, just to keep it. Well, turns out it was homework, and he doesn't offer extra-credit. Not to mention that he's not the teacher that I want thinking I'm a slacker, because he grades HARD. I have a test in his class on Wednesday, and I'm not exactly excited.
Speaking of working over the long weekend, I have homework in nearly every other class, including an essay due Tuesday. -_-'
Oh, and did I mention I got my first tardy the other day?
We have 6 minutes to get from one class to another. Sounds like plenty of time, but...
1. My classes have me running across campus.
2. We have over 2,400 students (many of which are just standing around and talking to block your path), so the halls are PACKED. You might as well be wading through jelly.
3. We can only use the bathroom between classes, and with 2,400 students there are lines for the urinals.
4. You're carrying 80 lbs. of books, which slows you down even when you CAN run.
5. And finally, if you're even a SECOND late for class (they don't care if you're right outside the door when the bell rings) you have to go to something called "SMC", where they log your tardy.
If I'm even a second late for another class from now until Christmas, I have to go to a 45-minute detention. How ^@#$%!ed is that!? That's so unfair!!!
Ugh, sorry about that guys. Just had to get some of that out.
I just got back from a doctor's appointment, thus why I'm posting later then normal.
Anyway, in other news:
*ElvesAteMyRamen will be finished with her new Inuyasha and Kagome drawing in the near future.
*Living Doll has posted pics of her new college dorm-room on her site.
Before I go, I finished Pikmin 2 last night! It always sucks when you finish a great video-game, but since I've had it since December I guess it was inevitable. Oh well, it's a great game and I highly suggest you at least try it if you get the chance.
Brain Work-Out for today:
Oh boy, you're gonna' feel really silly when I reveal the answer to this one...
Tell me, what's wrong with this picture?:
In case you're wondering, it's a tennis court.
Free hugs and a cookie to the people who can get it right.
Alright everybody, I'll see you tomorrow.
Please continue to pray for me as well as everyone else who needs it.

Hey everybody. How's it going?
Remember how chipper un-depressed I was yesterday? Well, that didn't last long. My parents let my brother get on my computer last night so he could play with IM for 20 minutes (he's been banned from my room since before summer, and it's been HEAVEN). I know 20 minutes isn't a big deal, but that's not the point. The point is, this is the start of another vicious cycle. First he can get on for a quick 20 minutes, but then she'll let him do it again, and again, and again. Then he'll be allowed on during the weekends. Then, he can get on whenever he wants. Is this his punishment for RUINING my summer?! What the crap?!
My parents don't care he makes my life a living Hell. And then they wonder why he's not improving. DUH! IT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT PUNISHING HIM!
*Psh* Regardless, by some miracle of my hormone-soaked teenage mind, I was feeling better throughout today. But, wouldn't 'cha know it, my brother's got me stressed out minutes within him walking through the door.
On top of that, I have a big ol' essay I have to write over the 3 day weekend. -_-' Maximum Suckage, neh?
Anyway, here's your optical illusion of the day:
"The Sun Sets Sail", by Steve Gonslaves.
Oh! Dang, I forgot to post the answer to last week's Brain-Workout, didn’t I? Sorry!
Q: What is the most common weapon used by female serial-killers?
A: Poison.
I’m surprised so many of you were able to reason and figure this one out so well. The reason behind the answer is that most women who begin a career in murder usually start in their 30’s or later, unlike men who usually start in their early 20’s. At this point, most of the women who have a reason to kill have become wives and mothers, giving them plenty of opportunity to inflict silent and sudden murder. The most famous case of this was one of the most evil people in history: Marry Anne Cotton. Those who know the story or the nursery rhyme know exactly what I’m talking about.
Anyway, I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Please continue to pray for me, as well as all those affected by Katrina.

Hey everybody! How's it going?
I had an OK day at school today! I finally got to meet my Civics & Economics teacher today! Remember how everyone told me he was a jerk? Well, he's actually really cool! He's extremely funny, and he's a wonderful teacher! (His name is Mr. Dickerson, by the way, just in case you were wondering.)
Anyway, I think he may just become my favorite teacher this year. And he likes gently poking fun at the French, too! (Come on, you know we ALL love doing that. :P)
Anyway, I got to spend my entire 4th block (Principles of Business) in the library doing my homework. Long story short, we had our electives replaced by a guest speaker from a local College today, but since I have 2 electives on A-days, I had already been through it. So, I got ALL my homework done! ^_^ And Ghost Hunters and Mythbusters are on tonight!
Life is sweet indeed.
Although, my bus was like 20 minutes late on getting to school to pick us up this afternoon, meaning we were waiting around in this arid weather for her to pull up and take us home. O_o’ I swear, it’s hotter then the Devil’s drawers out here today! Ah well, no biggie.
In other news, please continue to pray for those affected by hurricane Katrina. I’m pretty sure Bin Laden is currently screaming his lungs out on Afghanistan TV about how this must be the will of “Allah” or something. *Psh*, how long until we capture that dink?
Please also pray for our Ami-chan (AmiGouchi). Not only does she have close family and friends in the path of Katrina, but she also has to paint her deck. Sorry, Ami.
Speaking of the ever-loving Kitsune herself, she posted this (super cute) sketch as a thank-you to all her Otaku friends:
If you aren’t already, I highly suggest becoming a friend of Ami. She’s smart, cute, sweet, friendly and a FANTASTIC artist. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Just get to know her and you’ll see for yourself. ~_^
Before I go, here’s an awesome piece of art from Chrno Crusade:
I can’t tell you how much I love Chrno Crusade, and it’s all thanks to ElvesAteMyRamen! (Thank you, Lindsey!!! *tear*)
Chrno Crusade contains nearly all the elements of my manga, but is still completely different and original. Rosette is the blonde girl in the foreground with the massive gatling-gun, and it’s because of that personality she’s one of my most favorite anime characters ever. She’s got that “Ready, Fire, Aim” mentality combined with her love for high caliber weapons. Plus, she’s a talented young demon-slayer! *swoon* I think I’m in love…
In case you’re wondering, that’s Azmaria (one of the most awesome-sounding names ever) in the mid-ground in a spiritual representation form very similar to the kind I use (more info on that later). A portrait of Chrno’s profile is in the background, but it’s not the best pic of him. I’ll post a better one in the days to come.
Alright everybody, I’ll see you tomorrow! Take care!

"Carved in Stone", by Steve Gonslaves:
Pretty cool, eh? ^_^
How's it going everybody?
I had an OK day today. Hard to concentrate, and I got assigned my first real amount of homework, but thems the breaks.
I could still really use your thoughts and prayers, though. Is that OK with you?
I saw some of the aftermath of Katrina today (We have an hour and a half of homeroom each day for the first 5 days, and they let us watch the news on the class TV at that time). Man, it's bad down there. Even the Super-Dome was damaged.
I pulled some quick images off of a href="http://www.cnn.com/">CNN.com that show some of the damage:
A collapsed brick building that fell on a nearby parked car.
Submerged cars in a parking-lot.
People seeking shelter on a roof-top.
There are at least 56 confirmed deaths so far, many more are injured, there are 40,000 homes under water and 65,000 homes without power. Needless to say, I need to ask you guys to pray for everyone involved. OK?
Thanks everybody, and I'll see you tomorrow.

"Astral Projections", by Steve Gonslaves.
^_^ those of you with a good memory may remember how in the one or 2 months before summer I started posting an Optical Illusion or an Illusionary piece of artwork each day. Well, I think I'm ready to take another shot at that. You may also remember one of the pics I showed you called "Change of Scenery", which is similar to the idea of this pic.
Aside from the practical and fun world of anime styled cartooning, psychologically-playful art is one of the few other art forms I enjoy in single works (things like surrealism , neo-classicalism and abstract expressionism I usually only view as adding ambience, sort of like regularly-styled classical music).
Steve Gonslaves is one of my favorite artists in this genre, ranking up there with artists like Escher and Fukada.
More work from him and other artists in the days to come.
Sorry that took so long. ^_^'
Anyway, how's it going? I'm actually feeling a bit better then I have in a good while! That's probably because I was able to draw a little last night (which has been rare since I got home from the beach about a month ago). I drew a sketch of my character Andrea in that "Fantasy-desert" setting style I've been so infatuated with lately. Though I'm not totally sure I did the pose or proportions right, I'm still enjoying drawing it.
Thanks to all those who commented yesterday and on the post before that. It really means a lot to me to know someone's out there thinking about me, even if just a little.
I'm REALLY enjoying my Ruroni Kenshin mangas on loan from Josh. Right now I'm on Vol. 9 (the last volume I'll be able to mooch off of Josh! WAAAAAAH!).
Speaking of Kenshin, here's another slightly disturbing but hilarious pic:
XD It's Sailor Kenshin! That's freakin' hilarious! I don't know what manga that is, but I want to read it! *wipes tears* Man, just look at everyone in the background. *snicker*
Alright everyone, that's about it for today. I'll see you tomorrow!
Oh, and please pray for everyone who is in the path of hurricane Katrina. That thing’s a ^@#*$%!ing monster. Please also pray that my creativity is here to stay and that my first full week back at school continues to go well. Thank you.

Hey everybody. How's it going?
I'm sorry that I've been a little lax in commenting on your posts in the past day or so. Just read the post below this and you'll understand why.
Speaking of which, thank you to the couple of people who commented. I'm still feeling really down, but it's great to know that someone out there cares.
*sigh*, I haven't been able to draw a thing this weekend. My creativity's still lagging behind.
Please continue to pray for me in that area.
So, in other news, who else watched the second Inuyasha movie last night?
Man, great stuff, huh? Though I'm REALLY starting to see why most people hate the English voice acting, the movie still had its good points. The animation for example; though some of the actual characters looked pretty distorted (why does movie animation do that to some characters, but not others?), the movement and battle scenes were fantastic. The colors, motion, clarity, smoothness and special-effects were all spec-freakin'-tactular. And I've heard the 4rt movie (released just recently) is even better. Something to look forward to?
While we're on the topic of Inuyasha, I need your help for a second. Can anybody tell me what a "youkai" is? I'm stumped at the moment, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Before I go, here are some upcoming manga releases you may be looking forward to:

Hey everybody. The second day of school sucked about as much as the first.
On B-days, I have Art II, English, Spanish and Chemistry. I took art 1 last year, and I hated it. Yep, it was so bad that ART was un-enjoyable. Somehow I got myself into round 2 of the art classes, and it looks like it's going to suck. According to the teacher's description of the course and her attitude, it's going to be even more frustrating and pointless then the first Art class, and probably won't teach me anything in the process (just like the first one as well).
I have heard some nasty horror stories about my English teacher. She's going to make us write...and write, and write, and write and write and write and write! But not on anything interesting, oh no. Instead it's going to be research on dead author's who wrote crappy books. So basically she's a reincarnation of my 8th grade English teacher. Plus, we have a "Sophomore Informative-Writing Aptitude Test" or something in this state issued in March. Basically what that does is determine my worth by how I answer one single MASSIVE essay question. Fun fun.
Since I crapped-out on Spanish 1 last year, I have to take it again this year. The teacher seems pretty cool, but it doesn't make Spanish that much easier.
My Chemistry teacher seems OK, and science is my strong-point, but from what I've heard he's pretty merciless with homework.
Combine this with what I said yesterday, and things are looking pretty grim for the Loge-miester. -_-'
Plus, last night my mom started squawking at me for being mad at my brother (who as you know is a total dink). She basically confirmed everything that made me depressed back in late March/early April. You remember that, don't you? About my parents not respecting me, or caring that I tried so hard and survived through my first year at public school, or caring that I started my own Prayer Group or put up with my jerk-wad brother everyday.
She went on this spiel about it "not being worth a thing" because I got angry at my brother for what he said at the dinner-table.
Heh, so it's true. She really doesn't care how hard I try or what I go through. I might as well be smokin' Pot in the attic and skipping school for all she cares. And if she doesn't care what I do, maybe I should stop caring what she thinks. And now she's pretending like nothing ever happened. Just like everything else she flings at me, she just wants me to shut up and accept it.
Now, combine school and my family with the hormones and crushing loneliness, and you can see why I'm depressed.
Well, at least it's the weekend, so I might have time to recuperate from this week's ^@#$&%! and be prepared for next week's ^@#$&%!. Isn't life grand?

Hey everybody. How's it going?
I just got back from my first day of school. @_@ I'm tired. Not physically or in the sense I didn't get enough sleep, I mean mentally. I've been home since 2:45 and I'm still tired. Plus, those 3 hours have FLOWN by! It feels more like it's been half that long!
*sigh*, looks like it's going to be a rough school-year.
I have block scheduling at my high school, so I had half my classes today. My A-days are going to be Civics & Economics, Technical Visualization (elective), Lunch break, Algebra II and Principles of Business.
I have the teacher who is reported to be the biggest D-bag at school for Civ. & Econ.. Tech. Vis. may be easy, and the teacher's nice, but it looks a LOT more boring then I thought it would be. I hate having lunch between block 2 and 3, because it makes the day seem longer. I have the same schedule for my B-days as well, and it won't change come Christmas either. My Algebra II teacher was nice, but she didn't know how to teach. She claims she's been teaching for 14 years, but I'm pretty skeptical. And finally, my Princp. of Busn. teacher was fairly lack-luster. Not only does her class look boring, but she's also going to ask for ridiculous assignments and projects that'll be time consuming and teach us nothing (at least from the way she described it).
I know it sounds like I'm judging the book by its cover, but time will tell if I'm right or wrong.
Alright, before I go, here's a super cute picture of Inuyasha and Kagome:
Awwwwwwwwwwwww, *ahem*...anyway, that reminds me, Adult Swim will be playing the 2nd Inuyasha movie this Saturday at midnight. Will you be there? I will. ^_^
I'll see ya' tomorrow.

*sigh*
Well, today is my last day of summer. This sucks some major ^#@$%!, doesn't it?
I went to my orientation last night with my dad. To be honest, it sucked. Basically we were just there to walk my classes and make acquaintances with my teachers.
And guess what...
None of my teachers were there.
That's right, NONE.
WTF!? We're else could they be on orientation night?! *sigh* Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
Well, goodbye summer. Goodbye sleeping in, good by summer video-games, and goodbye being able to draw IF and WHEN I want to, rather then hoping I'm still in the mood for art by the time my monster-amount of homework's finished. Time to put the memorization of trivial facts that I'll forget in 8 months above artistic exploration once again.
I wasn't all that depressed this morning, despite the fact I woke myself up at 6 AM (gotta' get used to it, ya' know). But now that's it's the afternoon, I guess it's just sunken in more. -_-'
Alrighty, I guess it's time to move on to something at least remotely enjoyable. Namely, video-games.
Here's another screen-shot from Silent Hill 4. Most home owners are amazed at how far down a satanic ritual-rooted curse can drive your property value:
Something else about Silent Hill 4 that's worth mentioning is the CREEPY song I've been hearing in the trailers. Upon some research, I found out the song is called "Room of Angel". I'm pretty sure the title is grammatically incorrect for one reason or another.
Regardless, it's a creepy song. The tone of the song actually sounds very sweet and loving, but the lyrics are seething with hate and dementia. It reminds me of "Enter Sandman", which is also written as a twisted nightmarish lullaby.
Here are some of the lyrics from "Room of Angel":
"You lie, silent there before me.
Your tears, they mean nothing to me.
The wind, howling at the window.
The Love you never gave,
I give to you.
Really, you don't deserve it.
But now, there's nothing you can do.
So sleep, in your only memory of me,
my dearest mother."
Now here's the chorus. It's the creepiest part, because it's sung like a quartet (sung by multiple people with them all sounding like the same person). This is just too eerie:
"Here's a lullaby to close your eyes...
It was always you that I despised...
I don't feel enough for you to cry...
Here's a lullaby to close your eyes...
Goodbye...
Goodbye..."
Ugh, so freaky. That gives me the creeps every time I hear it.
Before I go, I wanna' end today's post on a happy note, so here's a frikken' awesome picture of Samus from the Metroid series!:
*drool*...........oh! Sorry.
Please continue to prey for everyone on the Prayer List, especially me as I start school again tomorrow and try to get my creativity back. Please hope and pray that I'll be prepared and ready for tomorrow. Thank you, because I really need it guys.
