The 40 Least Awesome Moments in Anime History
Yo everybody, wassup? I had an idea the other night, inspired by the fabulous minds at Vh1 head-quarters. Vh1 did a special called "The 100 Most Metal Moments", where they counted down the most awesome and unexpected things to ever happen in heavy metal history (such as Lollapalooza, the Def Leopard stage secret, the start of Metallica, etc.). But then they did something even better. They made the countdown of "The 40 LEAST Metal Moments". Moments that made head-bangers cringe, like when Metallica cut their hair, the birth of "Nelson", when Dee Schneider did the Chicken Dance at October fest, the cancellation of Head-Banger's Ball, and other ever-so-uncool moments like that.

What I wanted to do is create a list of "The 40 Least Awesome Moments in Anime History". The raunchiest, lamest, stupidest and most disappointing things to ever happen to innocent fans like us. Here are a few that I already have on the list:

Enigma-yasha:
Inuyasha is by all accounts an awesome action series, and one of the greatest anime series of all-time. But, it has left us with an unanswered question: Is it the end or what? The so-called "Last Episode" of Inuyasha left us with no closure and little accomplished, and implies that there will be more episodes to the series. But the production company has kept tight-lipped about the situation. Are they simply keeping the product under wraps? Or are they just trying to prevent the rioting of Inuyasha fans everywhere? This remains unknown, and let us hope the reign of the "Last But Not Last" episode will end soon.

Fight Like a Man:
Naruto is by far the best ninja themed piece of media to ever be released. But one character nearly brought the whole genre crashing down. Haku was awesome, loveable, and to some fans, even a little cute. But one fact was revealed that blew everyone out of the water: Haku was a dude. This revelation left hundreds of male fans, and even Naruto, wondering if that meant they were gay. Characters THAT feminine should be female, lest we relive this fiasco again.

Hamming it Up:
The notoriously cutsie anime Hamtaro was a split decision. People liked it or they hated it, or, they thought it was OK. The truth was, Hamtaro just wasn't that bad. Once you got past the excessive cuteness and the 3rd grader storyline level, it was sorta' cool. But the merchandizing went too far with the release of Hamtaro for GameBoy. One of the worst games ever, it craped out and dragged the world of anime down with it. Even worse, there were 3 sequels, and a 4th on the way. Let's just pray people don't make a big deal about it.

Do you guys have any suggestions for moments that should be on the list? I'd love to hear anything you have to say.

   Artwork Review!
Hey everybody! Miyoko-chan is feeling a lot better then she was yesterday, and she's submitted some new art! One of the new pieces she submitted even includes me!

Erin drew this to celebrate her 600th hit! I'm the one on the left. JUST KIDDING! JUST KIDDING! Seriously, I'm the one the right. That's MichaelsGirl91 on the left, me on the right, and Erin right in the middle! Isn't that cute!? (*cough*), I mean, awesome? Yes, awesome, not cute. I never said cute. Nope, I never did. XD Anyway, look how seamlessly she converted me into "Erin" form. Erin has a knack for converting characters into her style, and she always makes it looks awesome!

Our beloved friend ElvesAteMyRamen has released several new and amazing pics recently. I know what you’re thinking. Yes, Lindsey ALLWAYS has amazing pics for us, I know. But these pics just really blew me away. You have to see them to believe them, so here they are!

This pic had me floored, and is probably my favorite of the 3. This is from the manga Immortal Rain, which Lindsey has become a huge fan of. Look at the detail in the hair and eyes, along with the pose, posture, and flawless facial structure. The background also ads feeling with multiple interpretations. She got the highlights, shading, position, spacing, color, mood, and texture absolutely perfect! Bravo, Lindsey, bravo!

I'm a big fan of the Kenshin series, and this is a credit to the genre. I'm particularly impressed with the sword, scar, and the clothing. And check out the hair! Lindsey converted it from the semi-flat coloration seen in the series to a highlighted and shaded style with its own radioscity. Amazing!

And last but not least, here's the Fruits Basket pic. Lindsey stresses the fact that this is the manga, not the anime series. I unfortunately have seen neither, so I have no way of judging the accuracy (though I'll bet you dollars to brain chips that it's on key as usual). However, I can say that this piece was done with an immense level of talent and skill, and that's more then good enough for me.

I would have posted these reviews earlier, but I kept having to postpone it due to higher priority issues. Please continue to pray for:
My pastor
xSakurax
All the people taking finals
Miyoko-chan and her family

Thanks everybody, and I'll see you tomorrow!

   Miyoko-chan's uncle
Yo guys. I have some bad news. Miyoko-chans's uncle passed away the other night. Erin's a strong person, and she seems to be fully able to handle this and has been doing it very well, but this is a time she needs to support of her friends. Please visit her site and pray for her tonight. Thanks everybody.

   Matrix fans? Anyone?
Hey everybody. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had to DeFrag my computer.

I've asked this poll before, but I didn't get much of a big response. So please take this poll again (it'll help me with my manga work):

What is your favorite unnatural eye-color?
Red?
Yellow?
Purple?
Orange?
Pink?
White?
A mix of any?

Please tell me your opinion, many of you have mentioned that you thought odd eye-colors made a character look cooler. Thank you! ^_^d

Recently, I've had an inexplicable fascination with the Matrix trilogy, and I've had no clue why. This is especially weird considering I haven't seen any of the 3 movies in their entirety. Weird, huh? Anyway, here are a few cool Matrix pics:

Neo doubles his Smith-pounding skills.

Cool! Look at all the Smiths! And check out that awesome shockwave Neo made when he jumped! That looks wicked!

Smith is REALLY angry.

Anywho, who has seen the Matrix trilogy? Any comments or thoughts you'd like to share? I'm all ears.

Yo everybody. Sorry for not posting the other day, my post got deleted some how.

Here's the list of people we need to pray for:
My Pastor
xSakurax (please visit her site)
Everybody who is taking finals
And, Miyoko-chan. She's had a really bad week so far.

I'm not feeling real good myself either. I've been having trouble concentrating and getting things done, and I feel a little depressed as well.
Oh well, have a great week-end.

Well, judging by the severity and seriousness of yesterday's post, I was hoping to garner a larger reaction. She may be suicidal, people. Please, help her out.

Yo everybody. I was going to take today to plug some of my Otaku buddies' artwork, but I have something that takes priority. I'm seriously worried about xSakurax. She is really depressed, and I'm really scared that she may be considering suicide. I am as serious as I can be.

Sakura has dealt with an unimaginable amount of total crap in her life, and her site details it. Please, please, please, do whatever you can to help her out. Please visit her site and talk with her. Please pray for her as well, and please spread this message around.

I've got a crap-load of homework that needs to be finished, so I gotta' go. Talk with you soon.

   Thanks everybody
Yo everybody. I guess I owe you all an apology for yesterday's post. Like I said, I just really needed to let off some steam. But, also like I said, I really have no right to comnplain. I found out thatmy pastor's mom died yesterday morning, and he still gave a sermon. That's strength right there. That's sort of why I felt guilty about my rant.

And thank you all for all your wonderful support. I really don't deserve friends like you guys. You people are honestly the best people I've ever met. I wish I could be more like you guys.

Thank you for your prayers, and here's the list of the people who still need some:
My Pastor
xSakurax (please visit her site)
All the people here that are taking their finals
and maybe one for me and my family

Thanks everybody, and thanks to you I'm feeling a bit better. I thought I was finally coming out of my bout of depressed feelings, but it seems I can always count on my family to shove me right back in.

As a thank you, I have a special treat for you! I posted this on Friday, but I'm not sure if anybody saw it. It's an extremely funny comercial for Pro*Line. Just go to the link and click "Start Downlad". It's hilarious!

   Screw this.
I'm so frikken' sick of my family. My brother and mom are hell-bent on ruining my life. I've thought it over, and I honestly think that my life and my family would be a lot happier if my brother had never existed. I've seen how my family functions without him when he was on an over-night field trip, and in all honesty, it was wonderful. There was no yelling, no screaming, nothing. People say to be careful what you wish for. Well, I have been careful, and I've still come to the same conclusion. Tanner is a mean-spirited little liar, who'll cause stress for the sake of causing stress. He's so dishonest, you could watch him do something, and then he can literally turn around and say he didn't do it. I've proposed ideas to reduce stress in this house with rules we should both follow just between us, and then he breaks them and says, "I never agreed to that". He makes me just want to turn around and knock his teeth out. And the problem is with the computer in my room. My brother is addicted to something called "Rune-Scape", which he'll play for hours on end every day, and my parents seem to have no problem with it. But when I want to use my room to look up reference work or research or go to The Otaku or host a prayer meeting, there seems to be some problem. This is my room. I earned being able to have the computer in here. My brother did not. I don't know what he did to bribe my parents into joining his side of the argument every time there's a dispute. Maybe it's his sucky grades. Maybe it's the way he talks back to my mom and dad. Maybe it's his constant obnoxious behavior. I don't know what it is, maybe my parents just love him more for no reason at all. My parents don't appreciate my behavior at all. Last night my mom just up and decided that even though my brother had been on for nearly six-straight hours on the computer, that I couldn't get on at all to find some reference artwork. She's so friggen' arbitrary and moody. I'm one of the only 15-year-olds on the planet who tries to relive stress in the household and frikken' offers to do anything that would help. I'm in a new school, with no friends, and I made the frikken' honor roll. With what's been offered to me at school, I could have been smoking, drinking and doing drugs a long time ago. I've been doing the best I can, so I don't know what else I could do to show my parents I'm a good kid. I study, I help out, I pray, and I'm still not good enough. The only way I can change would be to change for the worse. And if that's what my parents want, then I'd be happy to give it to them. I'm sick of that worthless little nose-wipe brother of mine getting more recognition and love then me. I don't know weather to scream, break something, cry, light myself on fire, throw-up, punch somebody or just run away from it all. This all just has me so pissed off I can't even see straight. I'm sick of my family and how they act towards me. Of course, Lord knows that a lot of you have it worse off then me, so I have no right to complain. Please pray for me, as well as for xSakurax (read yesterday's post). Oh, and have a nice day.

Everybody, we have a problem. One of my best friends, xSakurax, is really REALLY feeling down. Please read the info on her site, it's really sad. She's really depressed, and she may even be considering suicide. She needs her friends (us, duh) for support that she can fall back on. Please visit her site and read her post. This really has me scared. We really need to give her our support and prayer. Will you please pray for her as well as spread this message around My Otaku? Thank you, and I'll update you as new information arises.
