The list is complete!
Yo everybody! How's it going? Well, after a night of deliberation and smacking my head against the wall trying to decide who I like best, I compiled a list of my favorite anime characters! Don't worry, I'll put up a shorter and more relevant post tomorrow, and it may even include a special gift! ~_^ Remember: Higher # = Awesomer character. Here's the list!
1. Juri (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Juri is just one of those characters that are nearly impossible for me to hate. Her appearance is unique, but not stand-outish. She resembles a neko-ish character, but is still different in a fresh and original way. As a water demon, Juri has fishy ears and a fishy tail, which are just too cute to even think about (for me at least). Juri and her best friend Koto (a fox demon, with fox ears and a fox tail) hosted the Dark Tournament together, Koto as commentator and Juri as referee. Throughout the tournament, Juri and Koto would engage in hilarious discussions about the fight events, and I freaking cracked up at every single one of them. Juri was just so funny, and I’m glad she’ll show up again later in the season/saga to host something called the “Makai Tournament”. For a pic of Juri, check out ElvesAteMyRamen’s art, she drew a lovely picture of her as a request!
2. Kakashi (Naruto)
Kakashi is the very symbol of an awesome character. His superior skill is made obvious by his almost constant expression that says: “I am not impressed”. It’s hilarious watching him school all three members of Team 7, proving to them he’s always one step ahead. His remarks are curt and funny, plus his demeanor and attack sequences look wicked awesome. So awesome, that I am willing to forgive the goofy hair-style.
3. Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Do I even need to explain? With a wicked awesome way of fighting and a constantly calm and collected attitude, Kurama has earned the love of anime fan girls across the world. Dudes (such as I) find him to be an awesome character that’s worth keeping an eye on. Though a “Rose Whip” is hardly a manly weapon compared to Hiei’s “Dragon of the Darkness Flame”, I’m willing to let it slide because he and Inuyasha are the only two dudes I know that make long hair look cool.
4. Sango (Inuyasha)
If I told you I used a gigantic boomerang to hunt demons, you’d stare at me like a deer in a car’s headlights. Yet Songo makes this bizarre weapon work for her occupation, and that deserves some serious kudos. Plus, she gets Kylala as a side-kick!
5. Sanoske Sagara (Rironi Kenshin)
Looks awesome in white, has spiky brown hair, and likes HUGE weapons. He’s like an awesomer version of myself!
6. Miroku (Inuyasha)
The light pattering of footsteps. The sudden cut-scene to inappropriate conduct, followed by the resounding “THWAP!” and the painful red handprint of shame. Observing this cycle is a pastime of Inuyasha fans.
7. Miss Kourou (Ruroni Kenshin)
Miss Kourou is one of those female characters that kicks butt, plain and simple. Instead of being a helpless background character, she could pound you into the ground like a stake if she wanted to. Combined with her unpredictable (nearly bipolar) personality, she’s a threat to anyone around her, yet still remains a loveable character. This is why it’s so funny to watch her regularly put the smack-down on Kenshin. Poor poor Kenshin.
