"Astral Projections", by Steve Gonslaves.
^_^ those of you with a good memory may remember how in the one or 2 months before summer I started posting an Optical Illusion or an Illusionary piece of artwork each day. Well, I think I'm ready to take another shot at that. You may also remember one of the pics I showed you called "Change of Scenery", which is similar to the idea of this pic.
Aside from the practical and fun world of anime styled cartooning, psychologically-playful art is one of the few other art forms I enjoy in single works (things like surrealism , neo-classicalism and abstract expressionism I usually only view as adding ambience, sort of like regularly-styled classical music).
Steve Gonslaves is one of my favorite artists in this genre, ranking up there with artists like Escher and Fukada.
More work from him and other artists in the days to come.
Sorry that took so long. ^_^'
Anyway, how's it going? I'm actually feeling a bit better then I have in a good while! That's probably because I was able to draw a little last night (which has been rare since I got home from the beach about a month ago). I drew a sketch of my character Andrea in that "Fantasy-desert" setting style I've been so infatuated with lately. Though I'm not totally sure I did the pose or proportions right, I'm still enjoying drawing it.
Thanks to all those who commented yesterday and on the post before that. It really means a lot to me to know someone's out there thinking about me, even if just a little.
I'm REALLY enjoying my Ruroni Kenshin mangas on loan from Josh. Right now I'm on Vol. 9 (the last volume I'll be able to mooch off of Josh! WAAAAAAH!).
Speaking of Kenshin, here's another slightly disturbing but hilarious pic:
XD It's Sailor Kenshin! That's freakin' hilarious! I don't know what manga that is, but I want to read it! *wipes tears* Man, just look at everyone in the background. *snicker*
Alright everyone, that's about it for today. I'll see you tomorrow!
Oh, and please pray for everyone who is in the path of hurricane Katrina. That thing’s a ^@#*$%!ing monster. Please also pray that my creativity is here to stay and that my first full week back at school continues to go well. Thank you.
