I went to an animation festival yesterday. I saw several old timey cartoons. Betty Boop is actually pretty creepy. Especially her sidekick clown, Bimbo (pronounced Beam-bo...it's Itallian or something) I mean, I've always had a phobia of old timey cartoons, but I was really freaked out. I liked the looney toons though. I never really appreciated them until now. I especially liked the one where Daffy Duck hosted a cynical gameshow. I also saw a wierd movie. That very movie is what inspird Monty Python's animation. It was pretty phsyco.
I also several previews of animated movies they will be showing this week. One anime reallly grabbed my attention. I want to see it. Despite the name, this movie actually rivaled the two award winning movies of 2002, The Triplets of Bellville and Spirited Away (which I'm sure you've all seen). It was called "Tamala 2010: Punk Cat in Space." Instead of standard anime, this kind revaled a unique modern style. Unfortunatly, I was unable to see it today because of explicite material. I was dissapointed, but I knew if I saw it, I would be freaked out fore months on end. lol. But I like wierd thing and the reviews just crooned about how wierd and original it was. I'm going to try to get the DVD. If you have just happened to have seen this movie, please inform me. I would like to learn more about it.
