   Hmmm... poem...
Willow (from Earthsong)
As the cool dew drops
Fall off my face
I wake to see
An unknown place,
Remembering nothing
Of who I should be
I glance at the sky,
This strange land calls to me

A rustle of branches
As I look around
A human bird
Says I’m finally found
She scares me
As her wings come to rest,
Another arrives, all in red
I don’t know if, curst or blest,

As they yell, I duck
Behind this tree
As the fight starts
I think, it is over me
Others come, the fight gets fierce
I don’t know why,
One dies, with blue blood
Is it truth, or is it lie?

I go with the victors
Do I have a choice?
They show me their home,
Lead me to a voice,
Earthsong explains
What this means
And why they
Fight the fiends

My journey begins
As many others’ do
They all left
Will I too?
I’ve made many friends
But something they hide
About my past life,
My time, I must bide

I follow them
Into the wood
Softly silent
Hidden by a hood
They travel far
Seeking my past
It gets dark
How long will this last?

Someone’s there
I lose my cloak
“Let me go!”
Who is this bloke?
I can’t see
Sleep takes a hold
How is he
Making it so cold?

Awake again
In a strange room
He is here
Is this my doom?
He says not,
I will stay unhurt
His story tells me
He is less than dirt

But I feel
Only pity
For his past life
and future so gritty,
With no hope
He’ll let me go
Until she comes
And they have a row

I am taken
To a cell so deep
In the heart
Of Beluosus’ keep
Freezing cold
The tell me
Of Beluosus
And his fee

(I sent this to Lady Yates, Earthsong's auther but I don't know if she ever read it.)
(If anyone reads this please tell me what you think, I am trying to become a better poet/author...)
