Part 6
The story has "calmed down" a little, as you will notice in my next few posts. But, don't worry, things will start getting interesting again in a day or two.
For now, here is a next part:

Chapter I /Section 2/ (Part 6)

      - Oh, he's awake! Look, he's awake!
At her words the room was entered by a man of some 45-50 years of age, with a grizzled, thick, short hair, that used to be completely black, with an elegant mustaches and a little beard, whose appearance revealed a scholar. He smiled friendly at Jelil.
      - So, the young lad finally decided to return to the world of the living.
      - Do you think he can understand us?
The girl gave a somewhat worried look to the man of whom Jelil supposed he was her father. He decided not to keep her in suspense and tried to say that he understands every word they say; but he had no strength to speak. However, the scholar didn't fail to miss his reaction.
      - I'd say that there is more to this lad than it seems at the first look. Go and prepare something for him to eat. Now that he started to get better, good food will help him to stand on his feet soon.
A girl jumped up and disappeared behind the door in a second.
      - I have a feeling that you understand our language. You must be curious to know where you are, so I'll introduce myself to you. I am professor Vasif Ulfet. I study the flora and the fauna of the sea and littoral. You are now in Morning Village. My daughter Adila found you at the shore ten days ago. In the beginning, we thought you wouldn't make it. You lay delirious for seven days straight. You were delirious again last night. Adila spent the night by your site. I was afraid that your condition worsened, but this morning the doctor insured us that your condition is getting better and that you will soon be back on your feet.
      Jelil nodded thankfully.
      - Ah, here is my little girl.
The smile her father welcomed her with and the gentle words he gave her reminded Jelil of the peaceful expression he saw on Adila's face when he looked at her this morning. He started considering the possibility, however unbelievable it was, that he got to the northern continent. He knew that there were no parenergy on this continent, for, unlike other continents on Vahdet, whose intensive tectonic movements in great depths created energy so powerful and cheap that it proved to be more profitable to use than even inexhaustible solar energy that was used several centuries ago, Zibia had absolutely no tectonic activities. Parenergy was the purpose of the Ilderin's conquest, for having all sources of that energy on the planet meant having enormous power that would be concentrated in the hands of only one people of the planet. Lack of parenergy proved to be a blessing for the Zibians, for that was the reason that other peoples weren't interested in this continent; and that allowed its people to develop entirely independently, not disturbed by conquering pretensions of the others.
After she helped him to eat the nutritious soup that she made for him, Adila left him to rest. Although he slept for days, Jelil felt that it was not a refreshing sleep, except, perhaps, the one today, when he felt he was safe for the first time after a while. His thoughts returned to the happenings on Adem several weeks before the fall of Evening Light and he took an effort to drive them away. He had to rest, to gather his strength. Maybe then he will find a way to return to Adem, to see what was left of his hometown and to search for survivors. Yes, that is what he will certainly do. Someone must be alive; someone always survives. Maybe some are still at large. The decision he made gave Jelil a new strength. Full of wishes and hope, he fell in a deep healthy sleep.

Part 5
Since the chapters of my story are quite long, I separated some sections with ***. So, let's say what you read was "section 1" of the first chapter, and today I'll start with a second section. I'll continue numbering the parts until the first chapter is complete.

Today is the day you finally get to meat my avatar (or see her description, at least). She is... well, I better let you read. Tomorrow, you'll learn her name and get to know her character.

Well, let's continue the story, shall we?

Chapter I /section 2/ (part 5)

***

Fire! The city is burning! I must get to it. I must see if there are any survivors. I must help the defense; we must get the children out of the shelter before it's too late.
He opened his eyes with difficulty. He lay in a comfortable white bed. His wounds were taken care of and dressed. The sunlight that penetrated through the window hurt his eyes, so he turned his head away. In the armchair beside the bed an unknown girl slept. She was heedlessly covered with a blanket over her knees. She could be about 18 years old. Her hair was golden-brown and her complexion unusually fair, at least to his experience, for all the people that lived in his homeland had dusky complexion because of the climate that ruled in that area. Her face was calm and peaceful. Looking at her, he felt that here, wherever he was, there was no danger for him. That feeling calmed him down a little, although his whole body still burned of the injuries he received; and his soul was hurting because of the fate of his home town and his ignorance of what happened his mother, Abas, his friends,...
      I must have fallen asleep.
He glanced at the armchair again. It was empty. However, the fact remained that he was still in the same tidy little room, in a white bed. His wounds were hurting less now. He attempted to get up, but he didn't have the strength.
How long have I been here already? Moreover, where am I in the first place?
He carefully looked around the room he was in. Printed books lay on the shelves on the other side of the room.
Paper. I have never seen a paper book. I am probably not on Adem anymore. But, that's impossible! I was in no condition to swim to the shore, let alone cross to another continent!
Adems stopped using paper to print books long ago. Those books were too big and unwieldy. They used special tablets that enabled easy reading and simple reviewing of the books' contents. He looked confusedly at the titles of the books. They were written in a language unknown to him. At least one thing was clear. Wherever he was, these people are not Adems. He knew every dialect of Ademian language. These books weren't written in any of it. They couldn't be Ilderins, either, for their literary language and writing was known to him. Besides, they probably wouldn't let him live. Burhans? Considering the latest news about them, the probability of some of them living peacefully in their home, undisturbed by the Ilderin conquerors, was too small to even take into consideration. He started thinking about the books' titles. He saw clearly the symbols in his head and, for some unknown reason, they started to seem familiar to him. He looked at the books again, more carefully this time. It seemed to him that he started to catch glimpses of the words: 'Life cycle of the sea spider', 'Pakarans, birds or mammals?', 'Bulk, the predator plant',... After only three titles he could clearly read the words and understand them completely. He was amazed and a little bit scared by what has just happened. He could still claim with certainty that this is neither of the languages he had ever learned; but he understood it completely, as if it was his mother tongue. He looked away from the bookshelf abruptly. He did not dare to take another look in that direction. He turned to the window. According to the light, it must have been getting dark already. He wanted to look through the window to see where he was, but he established again that he had no strength to move. He heard footsteps approaching. A girl he saw before appeared at the door. When she saw he's awake, a smile lightened her face.

Part 4
This part will be a little bit longer because I couldn't brake it anywhere else. I hope it's not too long. I believe it is interesting enough not to trouble you.

Chapter I (Part 4)

And then he saw him. An Ilderins’ soldier; and another… They were moving hastily towards the defense line. He switched his shield on and turned to his fellow-fighter. Everyone already noticed the incoming soldiers and prepared their shields and weapons. Shooting started swiftly, so that he didn’t even see which side fired the first shot. Lasers lightened the entire terrain with the reddish-yellow color and burned the plants all around. Jelil strived, in the general chaos that arise when the mass of Ilderins’ soldiers started to raid the trenches, to stay close to his fellow-fighters, so that they could protect eachothers backs. One could sense the smell of fire, burnt human flesh and heat of lasers in the air. Many shields were already down; and his was much weakened too. They were overpowered. Every Adem fought against at least three Ilderins. In the general chaos Jelil caught glimpses of his fellow-fighters’ bodies falling lifeless to the ground. He didn’t have a support anymore. He had to retreat towards the inner line of defense, otherwise he’d be done for. He started to force his way through the lines of fighting soldiers. Some other Adems who were left without protection already retreated, while giving the support to the others so that they, too, can reach the inner defense line. However, the inner defense line was already attacked as well. Although Ilderins did not raid all the trenches, there was only a matter of time before this line will also give in to the numerously superior enemy that was advancing unstoppably. Many have already lost their lives and lay in trenches. The survivors from the first defense line quickly picked up their equipment and gave support to the defenders in the inner defense line, who have started to retreat towards the city barricades. Jelil remained among the last ones. Only when he no longer had energy left in his weapon, he retreated, saving the energy in his shield. At the moment he reached the first barricade his shield totally stopped functioning. He knew that now he will have to use double caution.
Citizens, concentrated behind the barricades, managed to slow down the attack from the east, but the defense at sea was already weakened; and now the attackers pushed on the city barricades from all sides. Jelil got himself a new weapon and hurried to give support to the defenders on the western side. He jumped into the first vehicle available and hurried at the great speed through the city streets, well known to him. Evening Light was a large harbor city. It was a broad and well developed rich trading town. In spite of its size, Jelil knew it very well; and so he knew witch is the fastest road to the western shore of the city. It was not smart to use the main city streets because they were well barricaded. One should use the side streets, well defended by the local citizens, but not blocked by heavy barricades. Barricades placed east were stronger and better defended. He knew that in this moment his help more needed at the west, in the harbor. He wondered if his mother was safe and where old Abas might be right now. But there was no time to be worried.
At the time he reached the western shore the barricade was already destroyed and the defenders were having trouble to hold the attackers. He knew that there will be no more withdrawals. The only thing he could do now was to include into battle and give his best until the end. Until the end… Fear of death was suddenly gone. There was only his enemy and his friends, acquaintances and fellow-citizens that fought like one, as if there were never any difference between them, as if they have become one entity. With every passing moment they were losing their lives defending their city and their families. He rushed into battle, wild, without fear, without hesitation. When he lost energy in his weapon, he fought physically. He sensed the smell of warm blood on his body. Was it his own or somebody else’s, he didn’t know, nor he cared about it. Suddenly he felt a hit to his stomach and flaming heat that burned him. He felt ground moving under his feet, his head was spinning, his sight got blurred…
Cold sea water brought him back to his senses. He must have fallen into the sea after he was hit. He felt his whole body burning. Salty sea water burned his numerous wounds. He turned to the shore. To survive, that was his only objective now. He must reach the shore somehow. He must gather all the strength that he has left in him. The city was burning. The light of fire was stinging his eyes. No sounds of fight could be heard. Has the defense already fallen? The current dragged him away from the shore. He will have to give everything he’s got if he means to pull out before he’s dragged out to the open sea. There would be no hope for him then. He knew that. He started swimming with his full swings, but they seemed somehow weak and slow to him. Since he knew the sea around the Evening Light well, somehow he managed to pull out of the deadly stream; but the shore was still far. Too far. He felt his strength letting him out; but he didn’t want to surrender. He was persistently swimming; and swimming…

Chapter I (part 3)
When he returned from his afternoon tour to his position, women have already started giving meals to the men at the outer defense lines. His mother approached him, looked at him with care and gave him his meal.
- How did the tour went?
- As usual.
- Let those Ilderins come, we’ll show them what the spirit of the Adem’s people means.
- Mom, those are professional soldiers. Look at our army: carpenters, fishermen, builders… All true soldiers have been sent to war long ago. Personally, I think that our chances, should Ilderins come, are equal to null.
- I will never hear you say something like that again!
- Do not worry, mom. My opinion will not affect my activity in battle. I only wanted you to be aware of what we are facing here.
He gently caressed her cheek, returned the bowl where his meal was to her, and took his place in a defense line.
Although he was a head taller than she was, to Faiza he was still a small boy she brought to this world not so long ago, and for whom she still cares with that gentle motherly care. She watched him leaving toward his position with a steady pace and a serious face; and suddenly he seemed to her somehow older, more mature. In a moment she saw in him his father, who went to perform his duty with firm resolve, no matter the uncertainty of the situation. For the defense of their homeland and their family was for Adems equal to the belief in the almighty being that rules everything that exists, in whom they believed and to whom they prayed. No matter the strong will to live, inborn to every living creature, not one of them knuckled under the much greater task that was set before them. She, too, was not ready to knuckle under it. As much as it hurt her to see her youngest son, the only one of whom she still knew how he was doing, in the first lines of defense, she knew that there, and only there, his place was at this moment. So, let it be what it was ordained.

Dusk slowly started to fall over the quieted coastal city. It was known that Ilderins are already there and that they are placing their units around Evening Light at the sea, as well as the land. It was only left to wait for the moment when the silence will be replaced by the war cries, sounds of lasers, shields, battle. Jelil felt how his every muscle strained in the silent expectation. He was not afraid. In fact, he felt nothing. Nothing, but the expectation. He thought of nothing, just listened carefully to the mute silence. The terrain was getting darker. Clouds that covered the city since morning seemed to have no intention to let the moonlight brighten the forthcoming battleground.

   Part 2
Although there were few comments on part one of my story, I will continue posting it at least until I complete chapter I.
If nobody finds it interesting by then, I'll have to find another way to improve my site.

I am still posting my fan art for you.

Before I start, I will only say that I tried to write the names as they are pronounced in English and not as they are originally written in Bosnian.
Well, here goes:

Chapter I (Part 2)

Morning light almost could not break trough the thick black clouds that overcasted Evening Light that day. Jelil woke up earlier than usual. He was too discomposed to sleep. Pale morning light was barely enough to reflect a great number of tired people, tensed with expectation. It was expected that the army of Ilderin will arrive before the evening. Seeing the condition of the courier, sent because all not at the precise frequencies radio-communication was blocked by Ilderins, and from his report, nothing good was to be expected. The youngest children were put away to the safest place in town, if any place can be called safe in a situation like this. Evening Light lies at the peninsula so that the greatest danger lied at the east because all citizens of Evening Light were good sailors and would better handle battle at sea than at land. All who could hold the arms started preparing for the defense. Still, there were few of them; too few. Jelil glanced at the armed men, women and children. There was almost not a real soldier there. All of them died in the first week of brake in the Adems' defenses trying to stop the advance of Ilderins. All the cadets over 20 years of age also went and never returned. He wanted to go with them. He wanted to help. He was the best of the cadets. But, he turned 20 only three days ago. He felt bitterness thinking that the only chance for him to do something in this war came at the moment like this, where there was no hope that the conquerors can be stopped. It could be seen at the tired faces of others that this opinion was not his alone. There was no way out; no possibility of escape. The way east was blocked long ago, and even a sea was supervised by the Ilderins' forces. Even if they had escaped, where would they go, what would they achieve, how long would they be safe before running again? No. It was clear to everyone that there was only one way. To stay and to fight. To fight until the last breath, give everything one has to protect the only thing still worth protecting - life, of one self and of one's children.
The day was passing slowly. Jelil toured the defense locations and informed Abas, an old crippled soldier of bright mind and great experience. Jelil was his messenger, his hands and legs wherever there was a need to go and wherever help was needed to set the lines of defense. He loved and respected that old man, who was a superior and a friend of his father many years ago. In this moment he regretted that his father was not by his side. An experienced general, like his father was, would add considerably to their defense. But, there was no time to think about it. The time is slowly passing by and the army of Ilderins is coming closer and closer. It seemed that even the sun escaped from the coming threat. Gloaming weather only added to the already dark atmosphere.
The defense was set in several lines. Soldiers in the first lines were equipped with protective shields, insufficient for everyone. They were oldest among the citizens left in the city and most experienced in handling weapons, as well as all those who ever attended military school, no matter the age. The other line was formed by less protected and less experienced men in trenches, as well as women and younger citizens. In the city, the barricades set on the roads were meant to slow movements of the enemy through the city, if they make it in, and there was a great possibility that that will be the case. The youngest citizens were there, all who could hold a weapon, as well as those who were too old to be sent on lines, above all to be encouragement and support to the children. All owners of bigger ships have formed the defense at sea with the support of all those who were at least a little bit more experienced sailors.

Starting Today
Well, as promised, I will start posting my story today.
Please let me know if you would like me to post shorter or longer parts in the future.

Secrets of the Lost Civilization

Chapter I - On the Unknown Continent

(Part 1)

Evening Light was a beautiful coastal city; one of the last outposts of the people who lived on the eastern continent, Adem, and for generations successfully resisted the attacks of the occupying army from Ilderin. Only several weeks ago the defense was broken on Burhan and its warriors, who were successfully preventing the progress of Ilderin, to their continent and in general, during the last year. Burhans were quite unsociable people and in spite of their attempts, Adems didn’t manage to establish a contact with them in the last 200 years they waged war against Ilderins. It has been only a year since Ilderins ventured to enter their lands. It was a surprise that the defense of Burhan went down so quickly, considering the stories about their incredible physical and psychic abilities. Rumors were spreading that the secret agency of Ilderin placed their spy among Burhans several years ago and that Ilderins only waited for the right moment to sabotage the defense systems of Burhan and crush them with their full military force.
Fall of Burhan severely damaged the defense of Adem. Using the newly won advanced technology of Burhan, Ilderins managed to break some key bases of Adem, for their defense systems were perfectly adapted to Ilderin technology, but not the one of Burhan; and the one hit the system directly, destroying it with viruses that were extremely adjustable and difficult to destroy. Many lives were lost before Adems managed to stop the accelerated progress of Ilderins in the very heart of their continent. In only a week all the key systems have fallen and there were only small groups left, forming at the periphery and trying to organize any kind of resistance. The only thing that made the defense possible for Adems was the fact that the satellite, made to prevent flying over this continent, remained undamaged by the virus, for a service that worked on its maintenance and improvement has blocked every communication with this satellite. Even Adems would not be able to give a command to disable that system now. Flying over Adem was made completely impossible for many years to come, for the advanced defense system, built in a satellite, prevented its destruction, at least using the known technology. Therefore, Ilderins used their men and stormed at the rest of Adems’ defenses with fresh military forces brought from Ilderin. Every day there was news about the fall of one or the other base.
The latest news was not good for the Evening Light. Green Place, which lied a little bit to the south, has been burned, and the army of Ilderin is in full march approaching the Evening Light, the most western part of Adem, the last coastal city that has not yet fallen into the hands of the Ilderin's army.

   Making My Site More Interesting
By now I used my site mainly to inform my friends when I post a new fan art. I rarely added something different, mostly when I found something I like on somebody else's site, or if I did an interesting quiz.

Quite boring, it seems.

So, I am planning to make it more interesting by posting a story. This is not originally my idea. My Otaku friend "roxas07" used to post his story at his site before the school started. I liked it very much and I hope he will continue to post it when he finds the time to write.
The story I intend to post is already written, but since it's originally in Bosnian I will have to translate a portion of it every day.
Please know that English is a foreign language to me, so I will appreciate your comments and suggestions concerning spelling and grammar. I will do my best to translate the story as correct as possible.

Those enjoying my fan art needn't be worried, I will continue to draw and post new pictures regularly.

Well, since I decided not to bore you with a long message, that will be all for now.
I will post a first section of the "Secrets of the Lost Civilization" tomorrow . Today I will only say that it is a science fiction story. I hope you will visit me again tomorrow to read it and tell me what you think.

Those Two Again
Since my last two fan arts were deleted because of the problem the Otaku had with it's hard disk, I added them to my fan art section again.
I am working on InuYasha and Sesshoumaru fan art and I hope to post it later this week.
Until then, I hope you enjoy my other fan art.

An "Old" New Fan Art
I was very busy this week, so I didn't have much time to draw.
That's why I thought I might post some of my older drawings for all my fans out there.

I posted two pictures. Both are characters from video games "Suikoden" and "Suikoden II" - Viktor and Flik (also known as Blue Lightning).
Both pictures are colored with common color pencils. I only enhanced colors a little when I scanned them, because they seemed too pale.

I think the pictures are very good and I hope you all like them.
