Secrets of the Lost Civilization
Chapter I - On the Unknown Continent
(Part 1)
Evening Light was a beautiful coastal city; one of the last outposts of the people who lived on the eastern continent, Adem, and for generations successfully resisted the attacks of the occupying army from Ilderin. Only several weeks ago the defense was broken on Burhan and its warriors, who were successfully preventing the progress of Ilderin, to their continent and in general, during the last year. Burhans were quite unsociable people and in spite of their attempts, Adems didn’t manage to establish a contact with them in the last 200 years they waged war against Ilderins. It has been only a year since Ilderins ventured to enter their lands. It was a surprise that the defense of Burhan went down so quickly, considering the stories about their incredible physical and psychic abilities. Rumors were spreading that the secret agency of Ilderin placed their spy among Burhans several years ago and that Ilderins only waited for the right moment to sabotage the defense systems of Burhan and crush them with their full military force.
Fall of Burhan severely damaged the defense of Adem. Using the newly won advanced technology of Burhan, Ilderins managed to break some key bases of Adem, for their defense systems were perfectly adapted to Ilderin technology, but not the one of Burhan; and the one hit the system directly, destroying it with viruses that were extremely adjustable and difficult to destroy. Many lives were lost before Adems managed to stop the accelerated progress of Ilderins in the very heart of their continent. In only a week all the key systems have fallen and there were only small groups left, forming at the periphery and trying to organize any kind of resistance. The only thing that made the defense possible for Adems was the fact that the satellite, made to prevent flying over this continent, remained undamaged by the virus, for a service that worked on its maintenance and improvement has blocked every communication with this satellite. Even Adems would not be able to give a command to disable that system now. Flying over Adem was made completely impossible for many years to come, for the advanced defense system, built in a satellite, prevented its destruction, at least using the known technology. Therefore, Ilderins used their men and stormed at the rest of Adems’ defenses with fresh military forces brought from Ilderin. Every day there was news about the fall of one or the other base.
The latest news was not good for the Evening Light. Green Place, which lied a little bit to the south, has been burned, and the army of Ilderin is in full march approaching the Evening Light, the most western part of Adem, the last coastal city that has not yet fallen into the hands of the Ilderin's army.
