Part 15
All right, we are slowly reaching the end of Chapter I. The last part of it will be posted tomorrow. Therefore, I would like to ask you some questions:
1) Did you like the story so far?
2) Would you like me to submit some fan art related to the story?
To those who already answered my first question through their comments, thank you. I'm really glad you like my story.
Chapter I /Section 3/ (Part 15)
Although they were good friends, Elefif and Bariz addressed each other using their surnames. Nobody knew when and why they started it, but it seemed that the two of them shared some mutual secret known only to them, and that it was somehow connected to their way of addressing each other.
      - We have very few people capable of organizing warehousing at our small space so that the equipment is placed in a practical and easy to approach way. When it comes to organizing space, your brother is unsurpassed.
Jelil nodded to show that he understood. Elefif was glad for that, for he knew that brothers would love to talk to each other now, and he separated them by giving one of them a task.
      - So, Shihab tells me you want to know what happened when Night fell.
      - It is my wish to know what happened to the rest of my family.
      Elefif nodded seriously.
      - You surely know that your brother Durak worked in Night at the Department for Maintenance of the Antiaircraft Satellite.
Jelil remembered Durak’s ambition to research the endless secrets of the universe. His acceptance in the Organization for Space Research as a junior assistant was a great step toward the fulfillment of his greatest dream. One month before the breach of Ilderins, he was accepted into the the Department for Maintenance of the Antiaircraft Satellite. He was the youngest member of the Department. He was 25 years old at the time.
      - When the Ilderins breached our defenses, one of our main priorities was to protect research and science centers in Night. Your father was given that task. He had three brigades at his disposal. I was in one of them. The defense was carefully planed and precisely set. There were already several defense mechanisms set for the new Ilderins’s systems, adjusted according to earlier experiences made when southern bases fell. However, there was not enough time to improve the system and we did not include many other aspects of the new technology of Ilderins, unknown to us by then. To make a long story short, our defense fell, one brigade disappeared from the face of the earth, and when they realized that the satellite was completely blocked for any new instructions, Ilderins killed all the members of the group that worked on its maintenance. I know, for I was there. My group was protecting the inside of the OSR building. I stayed alive only because they thought I was dead. But, I had no crucial organ hurt. As soon as I got the chance, I pulled out through the ventilation and garbage disposal systems. I observed the situation closely. I saw the few soldiers that survived being imprisoned, but the general was not among them. I can only guess that he, too, died in battle.
