Chapter III - Together Again
The time has come for another chapter to start. This is going quite well (even though is Friday the 13th :-) ).
I hope you liked the story so far. For those who just started reading, there are complete Chapter I and II at my website and also a short description of Chapter I and tomorrow I will add a short description of Chapter II.
In the meantime, here is a beginning of the first part of Chapter III.

Chapter III /Section 1/ (Part 1)

Before the second group came to Mine everything was already planned. They were leaving this town tonight and Jelil was restless from expectation. This time tomorrow, they will already be by the plant in Stream, and then the mission will begin. The plan was to replace several Ilderin guards in the darkness by their people and make sure to sabotage the defense from inside. Since they were going to attack the plant anyway, they intended to destroy it completely. That will be a big blow for Ilderins. All necessary information was gathered during they two months stay in this town. False soldiers prepared their roles well, so that their colleagues Ilderins wouldn't notice that there were other persons. Jelil was one of them, too. He wanted to see his mother, so that he can, if possible, at least partly prepare her to escape. In his mind, he promised Bariz that his effort to find their mother and set her free would not be in vain. He was determined to succeed.
Avam's group was in for hours of march. But Jelil didn't even notice it. His thoughts were by his mother. More than a year passed since Evening Light fell. Did they treat her well in imprisonment? Was she hungry? Was she cold at night? Does she know that two of her sons still live? He didn't even notice that they already reached the place where they'll form a temporary hideout. Avam tapped him on his shoulder encouragingly. He could understand Jelil's present feelings. Jelil patiently waited for nightfall. It seemed to him that hours pass so slowly. He felt he would be most pleased to leave immediately. For two months already he waited impatiently for the time when they will be able to leave Mine. He felt like a prisoner. And now when he was here, his restlessness only increased.
When the last sunlight disappeared at west, the group moved. The determined guards were soundlessly removed and Adems took their places. The night was quiet. To sound of alarm sounded. Now they should only wait for the new guard shift, which was to come at dawn. Jelil did his guard duty calmly. There was no going back now. All possible errors should be reduced to minimum.
The sky started brightening. Dawn. Soon the rays of sun will color the sky pink. Jelil remember how specially beautiful dawns were in Evening Light, when the rays of sun, emerging from the eastern hills, managed to reach the sea water, whose constant restlessness folded them up on the surface. He noticed an Ilderins' soldier coming towards him. The shift. He greeted him silently and moved from his post slowly. He saw other Adems leaving their position, too, and moving into the plant. Several short moves to show each other that everything is all right and they began the other phase of their mission. Jelil observed his area shortly. Everything was placed exactly according to plan. Adem's spies did a good job. As soon as the morning arrives everyone will be up. He had little time to examine the systems and set them so that Ilderins' soldiers can't approach the main hangar, holding the basic weapon supplies. Disabling weapons Ilderins' soldiers had with them was not his task. One of the fake guards was already on his way towards the parenergy reactor, which he will adjust so that fluctuations appear that will unable the use of laser weapons. In the meantime, another one made sure to change the code needed to open the main gate with the one known to rebels waiting outside. The third one adjusted the system that opens the canteen door. When the time for the afternoon meal comes, most of the Ilderins' soldiers will be locked up in that room. Windows of all rooms were barred, and without the laser weapons to melt the bars, they will not be able to break them and get out.
