poetry time
That Mournful Day

I remember so clearly
That mournful day.
The saddest day
God took you away.

I sat on the bed
With no words in my head.
I only could cry
And ask God why?!?

10 months have passed
Since you went home.
Its taken this long
To finish my poem.

I’ve been up all day
And much through the night
To find a way
To make these words right.

Often I find myself asking away
why oh why did God take you this way?

Through all of my wondering
I have finally found.
The answer was here
I just had to look around.

Now I know what God would say
Is the reason he, took you away.

“Some people I made
to perfect for this world
With little pain
I took them away

In your heart
Forever they'll stay.
Forever and ever
Beyond this day”


that is dedicated to my friend josh who died in a car accident in 2002
