THIS SHALL BE THE LONGEST POST IN THE HISTORY OF MY POSTS!
Anime Oasis was AWESOME yesterday. I dressed as Yoko Kurama, and only got one fangirl who glomped onto me. I'm hoping, though, that my friends and I will show up in an article in Anime Insider or something.
Okay, so we got there and we went into the art dealership room first where we met up with Savani and her friends and she took us around everywhere and we met an Inuyasha and a Naruto. She took us to the dealership room where we actually hung out a lot. I bought the YYH Saikyou: Best Selections CD (which mostly has the YYH themes in Japanese on it and Wild Wind and Eye to Eye), a Hiei pin, a Kurama pin, and a Yuki Eiri pin. There was the artist alley, where they were selling label pictures you can pin onto your clothing. I wanted to buy one that said either "yaoi" or "I love yaoi" but by the time I wanted to buy it, they had closed for the day. V.V And someone had to go and pull the fire alarm. Jerks. I'll bet it was anime haters or something. So after a bit we go back inside. Played some DDR. Then we watched Kageshien, this group of girls, and one guy, who dance to different songs. At the end, one of the girls was taking questions and a Miroku cosplayer stood up and asked if she would bear his children. Then we watched Furuba for a little bit, then headed back to the conference room to watch the Anime Dating Game. When it was a guy's turn to find a girl, they brought up a guy who was dressed like a girl. He was picked, thanks to A LOT of screaming from the audience (^^). But they don't go out or anything, they just hug each other and then go offstage. One of the questions had been, "Is a dead puppy a good present?" an Inuyasha stood up and said, "I resent that!" It's so great there, because you can scream out random things like that. (I was doing it A LOT)
Then the Inuyasha we met earlier (he was really good, actually. He had made this big ol Tetsusaiga and he could actually "sit" pretty well on command) was begging Patty to cosplay with him for the Stage Event Cosplay, since she was the only Kagome there that day, and we were finally able to convince her to go on with him. I didn't get very good pictures, because mom gave me the crappy digital camera that doesn't zoom in. But Chris Blair (the Inuyasha) had to "sit" when Patty commanded him to, since it was a play, and he sits really well! He just flomps right down. All you'd need is his prayer beads to glow and the ground to get dented and he'd be perfect! except his ears are always falling off when he does that. They won the "Almost Love Story" award for their acting. Yay! Of course, the judges made sure to give everyone of the 19 acts awards for participating.
Then everyone wanted to stay for the dance, so we did. We ate with Savani and her friends (total of 9 ppl) at the restaurant at the Holiday Inn. We ordered 3 plates of nachos and 3 sampler platters. Everyone chipped in some money. And the nachos were SOOOOOOOOOOO good! I said it was our job to scare away all the ppl in the restaurant with our anime talk. Didn't work, because when one group left, another came in. We must have left $8 in tips alone, because someone put in a $5, someone else put in a $1, and we left all the change we had there, since the whole meal was $36 even. We left it there because we thought they deserved it, since we thought we were so loud and disruptive. Then we went and played more DDR, instead of dancing and then it was time to go.
Oh yeah, everyone gave me my b-day presents there. Patty gave me a drawing of Hiei and Kurama, which is REALLY good. She also drew in my b-day card. She said they were really crappy, but all my friends argued with her. They were GOOD! I couldn't draw like that! And she also gave me another YYH shirt, which is one size too small (sorry, Patty! I'll just frame it and it won't have to be dirted and I'll worship it!) Lj gave me Gravi 5 (manga) with an ear scene in it, but I like the ear scene in the anime better, unless there's 2 ear scenes in the manga! which I haven't found out yet, cause I still have to read it. She also gave me lotion, a mini beach ball, and a bookmark. Is that all? and Ching gave me this Anime Insider that I wanted. It lists the ingrediants of the human body from FMA and what they're found in. Oh! Lj also gave me a four leaf clover keychain.
So I think that's all. We acted like total fruits the whole day, and nearly starving ourselves. And I know I'm going all three days next year. And when we're 18, we're all gonna stay in the hotel so we can go to Yaoi Night and just stay in the hotel and drop stuff off when we buy it and use the pool! And now that I'm done boring you all with the trip to AO, I shall disappear! Laterz!
