   *purrrrr*
i had a GOOD day today. i mean, really nice.

my class went out to Castlewood Canyon, which has a bunch of really nice hiking trails. we took one that wasn't too tough and walked down to where the river cuts through the canyon, playing for a little while in the waterfalls.

Mamma, you'd have LOVED it. the sky was so clear and blue, the water was ice-cold and babbled along contentedly, and we saw EIGHT red-tailed hawks in the space of an hour!

it was the most serene experience i've had in a LONG while... i feel so much better, as though my heart has been cleansed of fear and worry.
