Also went to Borders and bought Jia, a book about North Korea. Finished it in 2 days. It was pretty depressing, and gave a lot of insight towards North Korea. Quite fascinating actually. Now I'm getting started on The Wind Up Bird Chronicle.

It's very old, but I'm still happy with it. I love flat colors.

I went to the Pier with Richard and Jessica today and played a couple rounds of Pump It Up. It's been a while haha. But yeah Richard pointed out that I'm not keeping to my goal of "Quit giving up so easily" =A=;; I can't help it...! Once I mess up I lose my motivation, not to mention I can't get the beat after lol. And then I realized I kind of project my weakness in one area of my life to all areas of my life -____-; Haha stupid right? I'll try harder to stop~ lol

Oh the calculus test. Not sure if I'm mad or relieved or both, but I spent ALL NIGHT last night preparing for the calculus test that may or may not have been scheduled for today. (The teacher's exact words were "Be ready for a test on Friday). So we came into class and he said that he had good news and bad news, but that someone's good news might be someone else's bad news. So pretty much his two statements:

1. I will give you a test today.
2. It will be a take-home test.

T____T all that studying for nothing! I better get a 55 on the test this weekend. Oh and to enin, reason I aimed for 54 is because he curves each test to 50. On the last test I got a 36 (iknorite) and so (36 + 54) / (50 + 50) = 90 / 100.

Setsu and my anthology is coming along. Setsu has an idea for the cover and so that means I get the splash page and back cover. Can't wait~! Just need a story ... haha. We have so many plans, I hope we can keep it up haha. We tried so many collabs before that never happened! XD;

But our plans for spring break should work out. Disneyland, karaoke, shopping, all those types of things. Oh, and I've come to the conclusion that I AM getting a baby voice D': haha my friend says it's part of being Japanese wth xD; But um yeah -___-; My voice has gotten higher. It's weird. I don't really like girls with baby voices though ._.;

Jenny and I were talking about weird things Japanese and Korean people think are cute and we suddenly thought of smiles haha. It's popular in Japan to smile with your lips WAYYY out and in Korea they puff up their cheeks with air lol.

Ex (don't blind yourself)

1. Normal, for reference. Looks creepy still but oh well. XD;;
2. Japanese people like to stick out their lips and smile big. In my opinion it makes them look like a duck. o.x; They also like to use peace sign with fingers pointing at you.
3. Korean people (especially ulzzang) like to puff up their cheek and open their eyes really big. It doesn't look as creepy with them because they have circle lenses that make their iris look bigger. haha. Their peace sign is usually on their forehead. haha.

I wonder what creates the perception of cute? It would be interesting to kind of see what people think is cute and why o.x; I guess big eyes are associated with kids so they use circle lens? haha I don't know.

Dear UCI, why do you have so many cool things to study??

Example: 135 Gaming Studies (4). Critical analysis of various genres of computer games and gaming theory and practice through playing, writing, and discussion. The focus is on creating a Design Document for the student's own gaming environment using gaming metaphors, design principles, and technologies. Prerequisites: Studio Art 1A-B-C and 65A-B-C.

T____T I kind of want to be in college forever, just so that I can learn everything. It's interesting how much just a simple course catalog has to offer. After reading a few pages, I realized that I'm interested in learning just about everything - from law and criminology to statistics to chemistry to art to business... I need to just constantly learn! haha.

I find myself really focused on that one B I got last semester. I hate it, but I can't stop thinking about it...! I think it's hurting my grades lol. But I'm still trying...!

Anyway my Japanese teacher was teasing me again about being an overachiever and that she should make me work harder in class but then I told her nooo my grades have been dropping and I got a B in physics. And so she all of a sudden announced to the whole class "OMG ALINA'S HUMAN SHE GOT A B..!!!" and everyone was like clapping. It was really embarrassing. I was like gonna cry lol xD

Mitt Romney dropped out of the race today. I was kind of disappointed, but he wasn't going to win anyway. So maybe if he gives his delegates to McCain he can become Vice President or something. But I don't know, those two seem to hate each other haha.

Setsu and I decided to make a Gintama doujin anthology. Except this time we're actually gonna follow through lol. I can't wait! It will be really fun once I find the time to do it~.

Finally my latest WIP... the scan made the shading all funny looking. D:

My school after it rained.

Well I'm officially accepted to UCI Stay Over Program. :D Can't wait to hang out over there.

Looking at this semester it probably won't be that easy. I'm off to a VERY bad start in calculus and my next test is either on Friday or Wednesday (no one is really quite sure).... I'm scared..!! haha I need a 54 of 55 to get my A back in the class. Physics homework is daunting as usual. I think I finally understand the rest of stats though.

I started writing with a big post in mind but now I can't remember any of what I wanted to say. :T

SUPER TUESDAY!!

Today was SUPER TUESDAY. But I didn't get to vote. ._.; I voted in school elections, and I have a feeling Ron Paul is going to have a lot of support from class of 08. xD

Well, it looks like Hilary and McCain are going to win it. :T It's closer with Obama and Hilary than Romney and McCain though. Huckabee did a lot better than I expected, as far as delegates go. He's really close to Romney! o.x; [But neither hold much of a chance against McCain~]

And while that little test we took in government tells me I'm liberal, I really think that I side more with the conservatives. Not sure on McCain though... he seems too liberal to be a Republican! He does have a lot of experience, but I just find that I don't trust him. But still I trust him more than I trust Hilary. :T I hope Obama wins the Democrats. D:

The propositions are kind of hard... But here's what I think.

91 (Transportation Funds) - No. The transportation funds thing already has a proposition just like this that was already passed, and even the creators of the proposition say to vote No, they just couldn't take it off the ballot in time.

92 (Community Colleges) - No. $5 per unit will not seem like that much to community college students (probably around $60 a semester or so?) but it will largely affect the California budget and take away funding from other educational programs. Are we really willing to give up that much money just for $5 savings per unit per student? Furthermore, many students receive financial aid like fee waivers already.

93 (Legislature) - Yes. I do understand this will actually make terms longer, but I think we do need more experienced people in the legislature so that they can make the wisest decisions. I'm honestly not too worried about them abusing their longer term because, if they aren't good we can vote them out for next term. In essence, voters will create the term limits.

94-97 - Yes. I don't think Schwarzenegger would have approved it if the tribes really weren't going to give back. Despite the harm of excessive gambling, people should be smart enough to decide what they want to do with their own money, so I don't think increasing the number of slot machines is going to be a cause for more people losing everything - in my opinion it's solely their fault.

Anyway HOUSE MD was on again tonight!

Sunday's episode was really good despite the blatant product placement that kept distracting me. I still think "I'll be okay on Tuesdays" is the funniest thing in the world, for those who get it. BUT ANYWAY! today's episode about the Jewish woman was kind of weird as far as the medical condition, but Wilson and House's conversations (after stalking Wilson's girlfriend a little while..) were hilarious. House to Wilson: "omg you're sleeping with ME!"

I can't believe I've been missing out on House all year. D': Senior year is killing me!! Joe and I agreed to buy all the box sets for dorm parties at UCI. haha. For some reason, I just really love UCI...! [But my dad loves CSULB for the price, and my church loves UCLA... just because.]

My mom worries that I wont' get to know any of the college kids at church because I'm probably not going to UCLA - apparently the ones who don't go to UCLA have a hard time connecting o.x;; So to help me out, one of my friends started introducing me to her college friends on Sunday. And.... he thought I was a high school freshman. o.x; haha. So far~ 9/9 people I met lately think my sister looks older than me. And they all say the same thing... "You'll appreciate hearing that when you're older." lol.

There was a new episode of HOUSE yesterday! *was not incredibly interested in the super bowl ._.* Haha I loved it. It was kind of insane, but a good twist at the end, and House had the most awesome line~

Worker: You'll just have to live without cable and watch normally broadcasted shows like everyone else
House: ...I'll be okay on Tuesdays.

For those of you who don't know, House is broadcasted on public television every Tuesday (or was, when there wasn't the writer's strike.)

Speaking of which...

IT'S SUPER TUESDAY!!
For those of you on my friends list who can vote in the primaries (probably not a lot of you), be sure to vote!!

For me, I can't vote because I'm not 18 yet. Will be for the presidential election but that's not really as important to me right now, because who wins the primaries dictates who I can vote for in presidential. :T

IF I WERE REPUBLICAN... I'd vote Romney.
IF I WERE DEMOCRAT... I'd vote Obama.

Still deciding what I am lol.

Committing Suicide

Once upon a time I was studying for a big chemistry test, and I really didn't understand redox reactions. Neither did my friend Ricardo. On AIM we tried to figure out how to finish the problem, and we decided that this test was gonna kill us.

We decided we could always die first, and we could do it like Suicide Club (movie) where they jump off the roof together holding hands so that they all have to jump, and we could be all happy about it just like in the movie too xD

But we were only talking on AIM, and we didn't have our own buidling to jump off of. So we decided to jump off of our office chairs instead. It'd be the same effect, after all. haha.

So then...

R: Okay let's count
A: Ready?
R: 1..!
A: 2...!
R: 3! :D
A: *jump*
R: *splat!*

Thus my own "suicide club" was born! We started "committing suicide" during the most stressful times of the year, but we kind of trailed off once we started taking different classes this semester. :T But we finally did again on Thursday! o.x;

lol. So that's suicide.

Fridays Suck. Everything is due. According to my music, I've been working for 5.2 hours and counting T___T

In the past 5.2 hours I...
- learned more about Waiting for Godot than I ever wanted to. o.x;
- got disconnected x times
- wrote the same paragraph 6.8 times for physics..
- read 28 pages of government... and probably the most boring 28 pages I've ever read xD
- still don't understand integration wth gonna fail test tomorrow D':
- officially got my first B since second grade. ): gosh akm quit being such a disappointment lol
- committed suicide w/my buddy lol

Other points of interest
- Chelsea Clinton is coming to my campus tomorrow. Obama will be at UCLA. Have discovered a new liking for the cool yet not-winnable Ron Paul. Decided I don't like McCain, and I think Romney would be better. My ideal race - Romney VS Obama. (:
- Been updating livejournal more often than I thought I would.
- Seeing Richard tomorrow - get to play Wii Sports again!! lol I hope his mom made that squid ;u;
- Slowly leaning more and more against prom
- Almost learned the first verse of Fan this morning. But didn't.
- Decided I need to learn to rap Paris too. Right now its way out of my league though T__T
- Looked at UCI catalogs again. Way too many choices! I wanna go to college forever ;o;

Just finished my FAFSA, and my expected family contribution is $16K wth. Well, I'm not eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, and the FAFSA pretty much told us we can expect some low interest loans. There goes my financial aid... o.x; No more spending until college!! D:

16K expected contribution x 5 years college (double major) = 80K of debt waiting for me when I get out of college. Greattttt.

Thinking of maybe doing commissions to get some spending money while in college. Of course I'm not going to make 80000 drawings, but you know. I don't want to have to save every penny while I'm there .__.; No idea how commissions work though, doing some research first..

I was browsing Amazon.com and it recommended me to download anime o.x; Their website says - "For a limited time, you can download the first episodes of hot anime hits free: Naruto, Death Note, and Bleach." Dubbed, but free. Also on the list of free downloads is Samurai 7, Speed Grapher, Basilisk, Afro Samurai, Astro Boy, Street Fighter.

I'm officially signing up for UCI SOP tomorrow! I can't wait haha. I want to go---!!

Anyway, I added a few more goals since last time bringing the count up to 70.

68. Learn to knit.
69. Keep room clean!
70. Quit worrying about the future so much. D:

Seriously I don't know why I'm still thinking about graduate school when I'm not even in college yet. But I found out there's a lot more types of Master's degrees! Theres Masters of Accountancy, Masters of International Business, Masters of Science in Finance, Masters of Science in Management... and then, of course, just your plain old MBA, with or without specializations. So many choices...!! I need to rethink my lifeplan~. haha. I think I'll get a dual MBA program maybe?

We started going over political candidates in our government!class today but we only got through Hillary and Edwards. No one really likes Hilary but I think a lot of our class liked her ideas. But seriously, that debate the other day was too crazy...! They're gonna tear the party down like that o.x; From the looks of it, though, Hilary is gonna win the primaries... .___.;;

To be perfectly honest. I DON'T CARE WHETHER OUR PRESIDENT IS FEMALE OR BLACK OR ANYTHING... as long as they do a better job o.x;

I was looking up general catalogues for the fun of it (I know, no life! XD) but I noticed there's a TON of classes I want to take... just electives alone would make up plenty more than my 4 years haha. I need to go to college for like 500 years lol o.x; Um I guess I'll start narrowing it down for my life plan sometime.

I think I'm a compulsive planner.

I also think I'm probably developing a super-mild case of OCD XD;; Because, I noticed when I'm writing, if my o isn't exactly connected, I can't concentrate until I connect it again. Same goes for when other people's O's and Q's and stuff aren't connected D: And, when I walk on the sidewalk if I step on a crack with one leg I feel like I need to with the other. WTH. haha. I probably got it from being at CAMS so long D: But then again, who knows.

Anyway I think I said most of what else I had to say on the last post so... bye! o.x
