→ I'm thinking of visiting UCI for Stay Over Program. Basically you visit and sleep over for the night and stuff. Got invited a while ago and thought "What better chance to miss a day or two + hang out at UCI?" lol not really. Um but yeah it sounds kind of fun, just have to apply.
→ I've gotten Richard to like Daphne Loves Derby, meaning I MIGHT somehow be able to go to their concert in Irvine this April...!!! They really need to come out to CSUDH as well. Because they didn't go to Warped Tour T___T I really hope I can go though! I think Peter likes them too so we can take him as well~. But.. it turned out to be probably the worst weekend to be on, but I'll just have to find a way around it o.x;
→ There is also a Seriously concert March 1 at UCI and I kind of need to go. Maybe I'll do SOP, then stay an extra day and see them LOL xD I really want to see them live...!! I only know of their EP though... so I don't know how long of a live it would be... haha.
→ I started knitting a scarf but my needles are too short so I end up scrunching it all together, which is really bad for the yarn. Hopefully I'll get a chance to switch needles soon. My strategy is to keep it half on one needle half on the other when I'm not working on it so that it doesn't get stuck all scrunched up like that. It's red and gray... was going to do green and gray but it looked too much like Harry Potter... XD Once you get it started knitting is kind of relaxing though (:
→ Haha Speed Racer movie never ceases to crack me up somehow. I was watching the Korean news the other day (waiting for some music show haha) and it showed Rain/Bi on there! Because he's gonna have a semi-main roll in Speed Racer. They were having a press conference and everyone was talking about what it was like working with Bi, if they had ever heard of him before, etc... and Christina Ricci was like "...well, I read about him on the internet before..." and the caption flashed "HE'S AN INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR!" hahahaha. Emile Hirsch told Rain "Well I recently worked with Justin Timberlake so I'm interested to see how you'll hold up..." Rain answered, "thank you." haha. And then Emile Hirsch said "I love Rain!" yeah o.x;;
→ I saw Juno yesterday we really liked it! It was probably the cutest movie I've seen for a while. :'D Saw some previews that looked promising as well.
→ I think I'm developing one of those annoying baby voice things -____-;; I'm finding it rather hard to sing super low, and so out of curiosity, the next time I was at karaoke I recorded my friend and I singing After Dark by Asian Kung Fu Generation. And omg my voice ...!! D': lol No offense to those who like baby voices? lol.
→ I have to vote in the next Presidential election! omg!! Um.. yeah I don't really favor any one candidate yet... I mean, I certainly like Obama better than Hilary, but how do I know I want Obama as president either? It's really quite confusing. T___T I don't think that Republicans will win, so I didn't really research them that much. By the way, did anyone happen see the Democratic debate yesterday? I heard it was all over the news~ We watched some of it in Fisher's class and Hillary and Obama were going at each other like crazy o.x; It was kind of funny, but a little awkward to watch at the same time haha. My teacher told us if the Democrats keep this up the Republicans might actually pull ahead, because voters won't want to vote for either of them after they've all brought out their bad side. o_o;
→ I've secured an A(!!) in Statistics with a 90% on my chapter four test. :D I heard there's a lot of people with like an 88.2 or something like that (89.0% is rounded to an A) so I feel kind of bad for them. I think they were asking Lewis for a curve today, but she may have already turned in her grades, not quite sure..
→ I'm REALLY torn between degrees again. I was curious so I looked up Wikipedia about the type of specializations you can get with an MBA, and happened to find at the bottom a bunch of other related degrees, like MSF, etc... Now there's an MIB too?? Maybe I should do the whole "dual-master's program"? Mom says to wait until I start my undergrad work to think about my graduate studies XD;

2008 Movies of interest
-One Missed Call
Another remake of the Japanese film. I never really caught on to the story but apparently the lead role gets a phone call and hears her friends die, and then her friends die. o.x; In Japan there's like 4 of them, so I would expect the ending to not be "complete." To be honest, I saw the commercial and I couldn't take the evil spirit or whatever all that seriously. Because it/she reminds me of a frog o__o; But I'd probably be scared anyway..! lol.
-Cloverfield
I've seen so many commercials for this movie and the special effects look really cool..! But I just have no idea what it's about. All I know is New York gets attacked by something/one? Maybe some sort of monster movie or something? Well despite not knowing anything about it, the effects make it seem like it's still something interesting to watch though.
-Untraceable
It's about some guy who makes a website to kill his victims based on the number of hits the site gets. The police start to investigate, but then the murderer starts targeting one of them. That's about all I know about it, but it seems like a really suspenseful one. It's kind of questionable, though... I kind of am expecting a lot of plot holes. :T
-The Air I Breathe
From Wikipedia - "The concept of the film is based on an ancient Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones - Happiness (played by Whitaker), Pleasure (Fraser), Sorrow (Gellar) and Love (Bacon). The proverb speaks of these emotions, not as isolated fragments of feelings, but as elements that make up the whole of the human existence. Each of the four main protagonists is based on one of the four emotions; and like the proverb their paths are inextricably linked to each other." Overall it sounds really interesting... can't say I know anything about it though.
-The Eye
A remake of the Hong Kong film... I'm sure you all have seen previews for it, but it's about a woman who is blind, gets surgery to fix it, and sees images of people dying. I'm not quite sure how similar the remake will be, but that image they show on the posters with the hand coming out of the eye is creepy!! I hate images like that, makes my own eye hurt.. lol. Honestly I'm not expecting too much.. lately remakes haven't been so great [a few exceptions in the past year I guess.]
-Definitely, Maybe
I must say I'm not a fan of romantic comedies, but I read about it on wikipedia and the way they set it up is different so I thought I might mention it. The protagonist's daughter asks him about his love life before marriage, wanting to know about how he fell in love, and so he starts recounting his life to her, renaming the women in the story so that it she has to guess who he married. So.. in the same way, the viewer has to guess who is the woman too! I probably won't see the movie, but I thought it was cool haha.
-Jumper
It's about a man who can teleport himself anywhere. I must say, it looks interesting but with all due respect it had the weirdest trailer ever. He's "jumping" around and all of a sudden he jumps in a commercial for Windows Vista with Serena... and then she does her commercial exactly the same as she always does and he's just in the background... and then he jumps out at the end of the commercial. Product placement much? o.x;
-Be Kind Rewind
Basically it's a comedy film about two guys who try to save their video store after all the tapes are erased by a magnetic field. How? They make 20 minute films of every movie their one customer decides to rent. I haven't watched too much comedy, but I think this one has potential :D
-Possession
Another remake of a Korean film! This one is based on "Addicted" from 2002. It's about a woman whose husband and brother and law are in a coma... The brother in law wakes up and claims to be the husband. I never heard of this before, but I might check out the original sometime. It sounds interesting! [lol typical Korean film... there's always someone in a coma XD]
-Horton Hears A Who!
...I honestly don't think remaking all these Dr. Seuss stories into movies is a good idea. D: I mean, these books are like what? 30 pages of mostly pictures? Stretching it out into a 1-2 hour feature film is not a great thing to do. :T The animation looks kind of cute though haha. And Steve Carell will be the Mayor of Whoville! o_o;
-21
It's about a group of MIT students who train to become experts in card counting and go to Vegas. I'm not a gambler, but...! The math behind gambling always interested me. It's really cool actually. I'm kind of interested in if this will have too much of the math in it... it would be fun? :D Aaron Yoo is in it as well - the Asian guy from Disturbia. But I only know him from AZN channel so... haha.
-The Forbidden Kingdom
Don't know too much about this one except it's a collaboration between Jackie Chan and Jet Li o_o; So looking forward to it... Weird thing is, I was under the impression that Fearless was Jet Li's last movie?? o.x;
-Iron Man
Well, lately the superhero movies have been doing pretty well and I'm hoping this one won't be an exception. I can't say too much because to be honest, I don't follow comic books all that much, but I like the movies? :D;;
-Speed Racer
As a long time fan of Speed Racer, I can honestly say I have no idea what to expect from the film. I watched a preview and it seems really different from the Speed Racer I remember, but then again, the cartoon is a lot older than the movie and the audience might get bored if it was the old-style car and all that. And Racer X has a girlfriend. WTH? And... Bi/Rain [the Korean singer] is going to be in it. WTH?? John Goodman will make a good Pops though lol. I'll probably see this one when it comes out, but I have no idea if I'll like it or not. But yeah... I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Looking forward to the video game though :3
-The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Well to be honest, I think they could have stopped at the first movie... sequels are never quite as good as the first one (well maybe with a few exceptions). I used to read these books when I was a kid, so I'm kind of interested in how they'll portray Prince Caspian, though. I was really happy with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, so I hope they still do a good job with this one.
-Midnight Meat Train
This is TOTALLY NOT MY STYLE OF MOVIE... but I thought it was cool because Ryuhei Kitamura is going to be directing it! Won't change the fact that I'm not seeing it, but it should be good. The story is pretty much about a photographer who tries to find a serial killer named the "Subway Butcher."
-Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
So... lately a lot of these actors are making sequels to movies that they were in years and years ago. Which is all their choice and all, but a little strange to me. I mean.. he's 64 now right? :T But if it's a good movie, I'll see it. I hope it plays out kind of like the original though~. Because the original was really good! :'D
-The Happening
Well... I probably won't see this but the premise is kind of different. It's about a global environmental crisis in which the plants of the earth release neurotoxins that cause people to commit violent suicide. The protagonists try to escape the epidemic. o.x; Weird huh? Absolutely not plausible, but an interesting idea. Probably a super bloody movie. o.x; However... M. Night Shyamalan made The Village... which was also really stupid I heard. :T
-The Incredible Hulk
Well I was never a big fan of The Hulk (preferred X-Men and Spiderman lol) but I saw some production features and the special effects look pretty amazing. o_o; Technology sure has taken us a long way lol. As long as they put a good story to it, it probably would be fun to watch (:
-Get Smart
:DDDD I'm really looking forward to this one. I used to watch Get Smart on TV Land when I was younger, and I think Steve Carell is a good choice for him. I'm hoping that it will be a good film, because he really deserves to be in one T___T For those of you who don't know, Get Smart was a spy parody show on TV in the sixties. It was really funny~ :'D
-WALL-E
Pixar has not yet disappointed me, and I can't wait to see this one! It looks like a really adorable film about a little robot who is all alone on earth and is programmed to help clean up and falls in love with EVE, a robot that comes from a probe to examine the Earth. I have really high hopes for this one. :D
-The Dark Knight
Well Batman Begins was a really good film. I don't know how good the sequel will be, but I think this is only the second film so I don't think it will be too bad (: This one features the Joker.. I think the look they gave him suits him well for the film.. you can really imagine everything about him just from his outer appearance. Hoping this one will be as good as the last.
-Dragonball
Um. No. I don't think this is going to work out. A live action Dragonball is weird. A live action Dragonball with Justin Chatwin as Goku? Um... no. o.x; Overall, I think there are some things that simply aren't meant to be live action, and this is one of them. o.x; And wow, Park Joon Hyung is going to be Yamcha. I can't picture him as anyone but g.o.d.'s rapper... o.x; [just looked him up at Wikipedia, I had no idea he went to CSULB!! What's with all these California schools that Koreans like so much? lol]
-Where the Wild Things Are
Yeah... I really don't think books like this should be made into a movie. o.x; I think it's always nicer as just a simple picture book.. :T
-High School Musical 3: Senior Year
I am not a High School Musical fan. But my sister is, meaning I will inevitably see this movie one day or another. D: BUT PLEASE... I know Disney is making a lot of money off of this HSM thing, but seriously I think it's time for them to start making another movie. There's only so much you can say about high school, and I think it's just getting to be way too much. D:
-Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Well, we're almost done with the Harry Potter series! I was happy with the fifth one, so I'm hoping I still will be for this one, althought it will be substantialy harder what with the book being maybe 200 pages longer o.x; It seems like they will be having a lot of what was in the book originally, so the concern would be that they only touch on each event and make it kind of confusing for the viewer... overall, I still will go watch it either way. haha.
-Star Trek XI
Too many Star Treks...!! Kind of weird that they're using the characters from the original series.. lol.
-9
An animate movie from Tim Burton! "9 takes place in a world parallel to our own, in which the very legacy of humanity is threatened. A community of fully mobile rag dolls living a post-apocalyptic existence find one of their own, 9 (Elijah Wood), displaying leadership qualities that may help them to survive. The conflicted but resilient community includes 1 (Christopher Plummer), a domineering war veteran; 2 (Martin Landau), an aged inventor; 5 (John C. Reilly), a stalwart mechanic; 6 (Crispin Glover), a visionary and artist; and 7 (Jennifer Connelly), a brave warrior." --Wikipedia. Sounds really interesting, can't wait to see it. Not scheduled to come out until next Christmas though ):
Future Movies of Interest
-Coraline
A stop-motion film that looks really cute...!! "Coraline is a young, bored girl who discovers that a bricked-up wall behind a door in her flat leads to another world, with another mother, and another father. When she tries to go back, she realizes that her other mother has kidnapped her real parents and she must fight to get them back." Apparently it was at Comicon 2007... o.x
-The Lovely Bones
Seems weird to have it as a film. I read the book and I think it would be kind of hard to make it a movie.. o.x; It's a pretty disturbing book :T lol
-Neopets
OMG WTH IS THIS? I didn't even know Neopets had a plot? o_o; Apparently it's going to be in CGI... but that's all that's really known about it. Seems pretty weird... lol.
-Angels and Demons
I haven't actually read it, but I heard it's a good book. But... judging by the Da Vinci Code.. I wouldn't really hold it to that high a standard. :T
-X-men Origins: Wolverine
It's supposed to be a prequel showing Wolverine when his skeleton was bonded with adamantium, seventeen years before the first X-men film. I'm a fan of the X-Men series, so hopefully it will be good.
-Up
Another film from Pixar about a "seventy-something guy who lives in a house that "looks like your grandparents' house smelled." He befriends a clueless young Wilderness Ranger and gets into lots of altercations. Says Pixar: "Our hero travels the globe, fights beasts and villains and eats dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon."" It's not set until June 2009, but the preliminary sketches are gorgeous T___T
-Ponyo on a Cliff
Miyazaki's latest film. It looks really cute.. about a goldfish princess who wants to be human. The art is mostly watercolor-looking, and it looks really cute~ lol
Other films that seem intersting but have no information lol
-The Jetsons (live action??)
-Justice League
-Magneto
-The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
-Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - last one..!!
-The Hobbit (prequel)
-Mr. Peabody and Sherman
-Astro Boy
Other sequels and remakes that are probably too much..
-Transformers 2
-Ice Age 3
-The Birds - why mess with a classic? D:
-Jurassic Park IV
-Shrek Goes Fourth
-Shrek 5
-Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer
-Spiderman 4
-Toy Story 3 Comments (1) |

First semester finals are OVER. :D
So far my grades aren't great, but they're not bad.
Calc final - 80%
Physics final - part 1 86%; part 2 82%
Japanese final - oral 100%; written 95%
So I think pretty much I'll be getting A except for Physics (iffy on the Econ though...). At first I was really happy to be getting a B! Because, I thought for sure I would get a D in the class. But now that I've had time for it to sink in and stuff, I'm a little disappointed in myself. Maybe if I had just worked a little more, I could have managed an A? Well, that's kind of unlikely, there's only 1 A in the class right now and it's at like a 92. o.x; So... yeah. But either way, my 4.0 is gone forever..! .___.;
Um, anyway.
As of last weekend, James and Richard are cool with each other again. JUST ONE STEP CLOSER TO MY $11...!! lol

haha wth.
We took the Econ final today and it was not so hard~ not so easy. By the end of it I was bored to death and couldn't care all that much anyway. There were 126 questions =A=;; But Peter's study guide really helped. I feel bad because he didn't see me online so ended up writing the whole study guide himself after a night of 0 sleep. And gave it to me. Peter always does stuff like that though. Ends up saving my life. :'D
Today I was introduced to Pokemon Puzzle League for N64 [wth I had no idea Richard had N64!] Well anyway Beth was in town from Davis so we hung out. They're pretty scary when they play against each other. I can't play if my life depended on it =A=; But still fun. And now I know I can buy Pokemon Snap and go play it at his house~ o.x; I know it wasn't one of the big games, but I really liked it T____T Comments (0) |

So Hilary won NH. I can't say I'm all that happy, but then again, I'm not all that happy with Obama either, so who knows. Obama seems cool as far as charisma and whatever. But, I haven't really seen him directly answer a question. And looking back, it seems like he doesn't like to handle controversial issues that much [as for his past experience, at least]
Maybe I'll end up voting Republican - I never said I was a Democrat anyway! lol But to be honest, I don't really know if there's anyone I really support in the Republican party anyway. xD BUT CALIFORNIA ACTUALLY COUNTS THIS TIME. Usually it's all over by the time it gets to Iowa. I'm excited. :3
Anyway.
What with all the threat letter drama stuff, I've fallen behind studying for econ final! Hopefully I can still get a good grade~ As for the drama, so far no word on what's going on. Richard says police don't tell civilians anything xD; Um, so hopefully things go alright. o.x; However, in terms of Richard/James drama, Richard has been thinking about making amends with him. Which would be cool because they've been best friends for years. [And James owes me money. lol.] But really, they should talk again. I'm not quite sure James knows I'm not talking to him, since we never really talked anyway o.x But hopefully things will turn out for the better...!! I'm still not quite sure about him though o.x; lol.
To be honest, once something happens between me and someone, it takes a lot to get it back to how it was. Even if it wasn't an intentional thing, if something really hurts me, I'm always on guard with them to an extent. I mean, things will seem okay and usually they don't realize that anything's wrong, but it really is hard for me to act completely naturally around them. I noticed that when I went to Mitsuwa the other day with everyone. [won't say much more, but a couple people should understand I think.]
Haha omg, I really am like Yuko from Battle Royale. I need to let things go!! XD
Anyway, I found out Daphne Loves Derby will be playing in Irvine sometime in the near future. I think I'll beg Zack to take me. lol. I MUST SEE THEM LIVE D': And buy a band shirt! And meet Kenny! And say "Annyeong!!" for Katherine! lol.
On a random note, Epik High is so cool. They were on M! Countdown last night and managed to get through Fan at like double time. OMG TABLO WHY CAN'T I BE YOU?? *sob*
Also, my ipod is dead again. D:
And, I think I'm improving! I decided to take a look at my old stuff..
Comparison:
June 2005
January 2008 (WIP - Only worked on the head and part of the armor?thing lol the rest is just guidelines xD)
Still kinda sucks but at least there's shading now! I mean, my old one was like line art practically >_____>;; Comments (1) |

I have taken up a very large interest in North Korea. Not to go to, not to solve all its problems, just to kind of observe and read about. It's really quite fascinating, and wikitravel makes it kind of interesting to read about.
I had no idea you could go as a tourist to North Korea, but then again there's a lot of rules you have to follow, like bowing to all the statues and constantly praising North Korea. Apparently getting in is horrible, but once you're in they treat you really nice and give you good food, let you shop in their gift shops [can you imagine sending a post card? lol] and give you a fairly nice hotel. Of course, you aren't supposed to leave the hotel unless your tour guide comes to get you o.x;
Their military parades are particularly impressive, although rather disturbing because if one person messes up they get shot o.x; But I think the children's parade looks really good. If you look at the other ones (youtube o.x) then you'll see some more impressive ones.

sometime later i really have to talk to you

Still sick.
103 ----> down to 100 today. :T
I keep having these weird memories?
I don't know if they're even considered memories because they're not even the whole thing. Just like a section of one. I keep seeing them in my head but no matter how hard I try, I can't remember the rest of it. It's kind of creepy but really just rather irritating. Hopefully I don't have a brain tumor lol. I watched this episode of Cold Case and the guy who died was dying of a brain tumor, and as it progressed, he had little snippets of memories come back to him too. But he never could put it together until he was about to die. o.x; Comments (1) |

irony
I finished my finals and essay [omg i answered everything on physics!] but now I'm sick ]:
Yesterday my fever went up to 103 o.x but its better today.
