I mentioned this on my deviantART, but today my dad offered me coffee for the first time! I must be growing up haha. But I politely declined. The first time I tasted coffee, I was 4 years old and I asked my mom if I could try some of hers. She put like a drop of coffee in a cup of milk for me, and all I remember is it tasted nasty and I decided to never have coffee again. :T

Richard told me it means I'm still a kid by not drinking the coffee [Apparently, I should just take the coffee and drink it anyway~] but I really don't care because I don't want to subject myself to drinking not-so-delicious hot liquid if I don't have to [I don't really like hot drinks either o.x] Apparently once my parents went to college, they both started drinking coffee. Just like just about everyone else I know. Well, some people drink coffee way before college >___>; Hopefully I'll be able to stay up late all by myself xD

But overall, I've found I have some sort of aversion to caffeine. I can't drink coffee, I only drink tea when I have to be polite, I don't like soda, and I'm not a big fan of chocolate (though I'll eat it sometimes~ lol) =A=; Maybe it's like me and my "allergy" to really oily, deep-fried type of things [makes me sick..]

I have a feeling I'm never going to drink alcohol ever, for a similar reason with the coffee. :T I think I was eight or nine? when my family got a box of candied cherries for Christmas. So I bit into it, and there was this horrible taste that came out! D: We checked the box it came in, and it turns out there was rum or some sort of liquor in it. o.x; So I consumed alcohol underage! D: lol. Uhm... but yeah it tasted horrible, and I've heard that alcohol tends to not taste so good so... probably not going to have it. Also I'm afraid to look stupid while drunk. lol. I'll stick to getting high off tangerines, thx ;D [Or lack of sleep works too~ haha]

Lately, I want to either never sleep or sleep forever o.x; I never really can tell which one I'm thinking of. Forever vs Never are really opposite, but somehow I can't quite tell the difference...

When I sleep, I dream weird things. A couple nights ago, I dreamed I was sitting on a hill with enin and this girl I know from livejournal. And we were waiting for someone to come back from something [have no idea what lol] but he was taking a long time. I was getting worried, so enin told me that things would turn out to be fine and stuff, and the girl from livejournal was like "UH WHY ARE YOU BEING MEAN TO [person we're waiting for]~" I guess comforting someone wasn't a good thing to do?? o.x

But anyway, we were waiting for a really long time so I went in the building we were waiting for him to come out of. And inside there were all these zombie-CEO's! But they weren't like rotting dead... they were just kind of like... somewhat thin yet otherwise healthy physique and all bald with their eyes dark and sunken in... and all in suits. o_o; So I went looking for him through each room, and each room had one of the CEO people in it and it was really creepy! haha. Uh I finally got to the top floor and the boss zombie was there and I asked him if he had seen [person we were looking for] and he said no, he wasn't here.

So... I walked back down to the bottom of the building, which just so happened to turn into a cave. So at the mouth of the cave these five people stepped out! They were Jonathan [the chem major], Setsu [best friend :D], Aura [dA friend], and I forgot the other two. But it was hard to tell it was them because their faces were kind of covered. And, they each had on a different color! They were like power rangers, except kinda ghetto. So anyway, they were like "YOU MUST JOIN US OR YOU CANT LEAVE"... but I didn't want to because they looked a little evil =A=; So then I kind of moved to the side, but they blocked the door and said something to the extent of if I didn't join them, I'd join the CEO's in the building behind me. And I didn't want to do that either. But I thought, maybe [person we're looking for] is over in the building still?? Anyway, I somehow ran away and went back to the hill. By then the sky was all pink because the sun was going down. And enin and my deviantART friend were gone, so I was standing all alone on the hill. Then... I woke up o_o;

Tomorrow I'm seeing "I Am Legend" at the AMC. I heard it's really good, so I'll be looking forward to it :D I wanted to see Sweeney Todd. But my parents won't let me. I guess goal #21 will have to wait.

I really should finish my finals.... :T

Setsu and I went to the karaoke/noraebang place a couple days ago with Ayumi and Lea! I haven't seen them in a long time so it was really fun. But omg I need to learn to sing better.. or at least memorize some better lyrics. But yeah, we had takoyaki which is the best food ever! (except I don't like mayo) and sang for three hours. I want to go again T___T

I was really curious as to some of my old journal entries, and I ended up finding my old note I wrote to Richard asking him to go see a movie with me once a while back~.

"Host"보고싶어
한국하도일본영화이에요.
구래두,R이라서,호자몯가요.
영화는"Horror-Comedy"이에요.
재미걷같아요.

It makes me sad, but I don't even know how to read it right now. I mean I can read the letters, but the grammar means nothing to me. Probably because I just went through my book as rapidly as I could without stopping to actually learn so I could finish it before history was over. [Not that my book is any good. D:]

Before I gave it to him, I was going to ask Willis to look over it for me but I got shy because I knew it was so bad D: So recently, I asked Richard to look over it again, because the first time I gave it to him he was like "Wow it's... formal.." because I used really formal language like I'm talking to my superior or something xD So he told me this time that I had really choppy sentences. Pretty much it sounded like:

"I want to watch "Host".
It is Korean and Japanese.
But it is R so I cannot watch it alone.
It is a Horror-comedy."
I forgot what the last line meant.

D: I need to learn to speak better! I can't wait for that journal to get started. He says I have to learn to speak more fluidly =A=; Seriously all I remember is how to order a beer, and say that I'm eating squid and pancakes.

So anyway. UMich is kinda beautiful. :'D I need to get perfect grades in college! So that I can get accepted there~. It's ranked #19 in top business schools in the U.S. by Forbes... so not the best. But I heard it's good for international. Gotta do some more research. According to Forbes, the best 10 are:

1. Harvard
2. Columbia
3. Chicago
4. Dartmouth (Tuck)
5. Yale
6. Penn. (Wharton)
7. Stanford
8. UNC (Kenan-Flagler)
9. N'Western (Kellogg)
10. Virginia (Darden)

Harvard. :T Why does the best of everything have to be there? lol But seriously... gotta work really hard in school~! Oh, and of course best outside of the U.S. as well. Don't want to limit myself!

1. Insead
2. IMD
3. Cambridge (Judge)
4. Oxford (Said)
5. London (LBS)
6. York (Schulich)
7. SDA Bocconi
8. IESE
9. Australian GSOM
10. Queen's

Looks like a lot of British... I don't know if I can survive out there! haha but I always wanted to see Oxford T___T But nevertheless, I MUST WORK HARDER!

I let myself drop to a B in AP Physics ): My 4.0 is ruined .___.;;; So I have to try harder!! The hard part about AP Physics is... I really can't visualize anything. But the other hard part is with 3 other AP classes, it's hard to keep my grades up in all of them. Physics already takes up like 50% of my homework time =A=; But I'll try really hard to balance better next semester! I need good grades again!! Of course, weighted for this semester I still have over a 4.0, but that one physics grade brought me down from unweighted 4.0 T___T

DILEMNA!
Enin knows this but Richard has a friend James and they are no longer on speaking terms. James apparently has said some things about me that I really don't appreciate (partly because they're not true, partly because I don't want people thinking they are true) and so Richard decided to never talk to him again. So now, I barely talk to James and never see him anymore now that Richard and him aren't friends. [Setsu claims that James is on my side, but I don't see that happening.]

The problem?

James owes me $11!

While this may seem like a minuscule predicament, I'm on a 0-income budget and every penny counts! Sooo... I want my money back T___T But theres really no hope of the two of them becoming friends again so... haha. Sergio says he'll just give me $11 so that I don't have to think about it anymore. XD

Also, to enin: I have to tell you about Christine T___T I hate dramaaaaaaaa.

Anyway. A few other things -

A little while back I put up my cosplay from Anime Expo in the cosplay portfolio. :3 Maybe doing stuff here is the key to staying active on this journal? lol Debating on putting up fanart though. The jpeg only thing gets to me >___>;

I really want to go to Disneyland again. T___T The first time I went with Sarah was probably the best/worst time ever! :'D Best because we got to go on Space Mountain 4 times and sometime in the middle was the best time ever! But worst because Richard and Jonathan were pretty emo half the time lol and... I got sick during dinner. :T Disneyland hamburgers are oily.

Setsu and Sho disappeared halfway through the day... haha Jonathan and I had the most intense game of air hockey I played since Mulligans times, and Richard got to pwn a bunch of people in Initial D and get his stats boosted ;D

The girls. Kind of. I was dressed like a boy xD

The boys. Trying to look ghetto?? haha

haha they made me wear a hat so I made them wear one. For once both of them smiled in a picture. It's hard enough to even get one of them to smile =A=

The scenery.

The fireworks - do you see the llama? :3

I meant to make a picture story but I didn't finish it~ The first one I was just like "I need a picture of you guys" and Richard was like "dude she's taking a picture" and dragged him along in the general direction of my camera. Second one we were squished in line and all super tired =A=;; Only the left side came out halfdecent and I'm like o_O; in it :T But it was fun :D

SPACE MOUNTAIN! :D Richard was feeling sick so he didn't go on. It was really cute though ~ Jonathan was practicing poses while we waited in line xD and Setsu and Sho were like trying to arrange something for the three of us but it didn't work out D: The kid in the back was like fake-sleeping lolll

Sorry for such a long disneyland post! I feel really nostalgic today!!

PROGRESS
17. Pick a laptop
I think I want a Dell Inspiron 1520, haven't quite decided on what type of specs I want though - anyone have any thoughts? It's gotten really good reviews online, I want an opinion from someone here :D

18. Learn to rap better
Rappable songs list :D
1. Shizuka na hibi no kaidan wo by Dragon Ash.
2. Summer Madness by Lead. Boy band rap haha.
3. Hana by Orange Range.

I'm trying to learn Epik High or MC Mong. SO HARD D': I need to learn Korean! Because I don't like Japanese rap that much .__.;;

19. Learn to talk about stuff besides school all the time
Richard and Michael and Setsu have been making me talk about not-school stuff lately :D Like... music, creepy things that happen during the day (wth? lol), and THE OFFICE :3 I love The Office lol

23. Pick out 10 grad schools I'm interested in going to
I have 4 so far:
1. UCLA
2. UMich
3. UPenn
4. Cal

25. Learn Korean, Chinese, French and/or Russian lol
So Richard and Anders and I decided we were gonna help each other learn Korean / Chinese / Japanese, respectively. So what we're gonna do is have like a group journal :D I write in it with some Japanese lesson, pass it on to either Richard or Anders, they write their lesson, pass it on to the next person, then pass it on to me. And in the end we'll have a reference of Japanese/Chinese/Korean language. ^^ But I don't know anyone who speaks French or Russian T___T

38. Take vitamins daily -____-;;
So far, so good. :3

44. Solve a 4x4x4 Rubiks Cube
I can solve the first layer, but anyone can do that -____-;; I can get the corners of the second and third layer, but I don't really know how to do the bottom or the middle two parts :T

ECON RANT - Disregard if you don't like that type of thing lol

Capital markets thing. For our project we had to analyze the US economy and make a recommendation to the FED. We recommended the FED the opposite of what they actually did [They lowered the FFR by 25 basis points, we told them to raise it]. I still think we were right >D lol maybe not. But I don't see what lowering the FFR is going to do because we've lowered it twice already and so far it hasn't helped us spend more. I can see what they're trying to do, but we're just making the dollar weaker and weaker by lowering rates left and right.. and even if we're not spending as much, since we're making the dollar so much weaker, we're probably still gonna hit inflation. :T Maybe the weak dollar will incur more spending and boost or retail sales from foreigners? D':

GMAT~... dude. I looked online and it doesn't seem that hard. But then again, those were just a few sample questions. Hopefully the whole test is that easy! :D It doesn't even seem as bad as the SAT But then again I didn't even break 2200 on the SAT so maybe I shouldn't be talking -____-;;

Rethinking the whole UPenn thing. Heard UMich is better for International. UPenn focuses on Switzerland A LOT. Not sure I wanna spend the rest of my life in Switzerland lolll

Grad school
I have started to prepare for Grad School.

Actually, I was thinking about grad school ever since about three months ago. It happened when I was practicing for my very last SAT ever(!!) and I was at the bookstore. All the school books are in the same area, and I happened to pick up some grad school entrance exam type of practice books.

And not to be arrogant or anything, but some of the questions on the GRE are REALLY easy. o_o; It's probably just one of the easier math questions they give at the beginning of the section and the rest are really hard, but it seemed like just a really expensive version of the SAT lol. And to be honest, the SAT isn't that bad as long as you practice a lot. I'm gonna be taking the GMAT, so I guess I have to look at that too. Who knows - it could be completely different.

But...

WTH BUSINESS SCHOOL ESSAYS SEEM SO HARD! D': While the GRE didn't seem too bad - I *hope* - the essay part seems horrible! Reading some of the sample essays was so intimidating~ These people sound like they're pro at it or something~

I do realize I'm not yet out of high school and probably should be thinking about enjoying the rest of my senior year, but you can never start too early right? Undergraduate school is to prepare you for graduate school, in my opinion. Sure, people go on fine with just a BA or BS, but I want a masters! Statistically, you're more successful that way haha.

My plan in semi-chronological order:

-Go to UCI for undergrad work as a business econ major with a Chinese or Japanese double major, taking a bunch of 100 level language courses so I can be better qualified as an applicant

-Finish undergrad work with as high grades as possible, then get a job for a year or two

-Go to graduate school [UPenn FTW!!], get my MBA with an emphasis in international business

-Get an average-paying job

-Go up in ranking at aforementioned job and get sent on business trips, traveling the world for free! :D

PS my livejournal looks like this everytime I post. Sorry guys, I talk about school way too much. T___T *nolife!*

Halloween was kind of depressing.

Me: Hey next year, let's be _____!
W: Yeah!! :D
A: But... next year we'll be at college.
Me: Oh... yeah.

Maybe Joe, Adam, and I will end up going to the same college. Willis is ditching us for UCLA lol (or am I ditching Willis for UCI? I don't know yet lol)

I was 3 hole punch Jim from The Office.
