I have taken up a very large interest in North Korea. Not to go to, not to solve all its problems, just to kind of observe and read about. It's really quite fascinating, and wikitravel makes it kind of interesting to read about.

I had no idea you could go as a tourist to North Korea, but then again there's a lot of rules you have to follow, like bowing to all the statues and constantly praising North Korea. Apparently getting in is horrible, but once you're in they treat you really nice and give you good food, let you shop in their gift shops [can you imagine sending a post card? lol] and give you a fairly nice hotel. Of course, you aren't supposed to leave the hotel unless your tour guide comes to get you o.x;

Tourism info

Their military parades are particularly impressive, although rather disturbing because if one person messes up they get shot o.x; But I think the children's parade looks really good. If you look at the other ones (youtube o.x) then you'll see some more impressive ones.
