Christmas-y Play
((Sorry I haven't posted in a while. First I was grounded from the computer for a day. And yesterday I had to go shopping and attend the dinner theater that your about to read about. ^^))
Last night, I went to this dinner theater my church was hosting (they're doing it again tonight, but no food, just play), and it was really good.
First off, when they were filling drinks, one of the guy's at our table (each table had to servers) asked me what I wanted to drink (sweet tea, of course) and walked off to get it... without taking my glass. My mom said it was because he was "checking me out and forgot about the glass." I didn't believe that. Just one of her "make Renee feel better about her incredible shortness and freakish looks" plots. Anyways,he came back a minute or two later to get my glass. So I DID get my tea.
The we recieved our food (some sort of chicken, green beans, and rice pilaf) and I ate everything except the pilaf. I allowed my plate to be taken, and I dug into the (chocolate) cake. ^^ It was yummy.
The show started a little bit after (nearly) everyone was finished eating. The choir sang two songs, then it was on to the show. ^o^
The play was about a man, Noah Miles, who had Systic Fibrosis trying to tell a man, Jim Speakman, about God's love for him. Jim was a big Broadway-type director who came to NC to put on a musical with common folk to become even more famous and earn that "big check." In the end, Noah dies and Mr. Speakman does get saved. There's a lot of details I'm leaving out, but I don't feel like typing that much.
THe songs that were chosen were perfect. They even sang You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch. ^^ Fun song, that it is.
DPAK's Question of the Day: Did you miss me while I was gone?
Qoutable Qoute of the Day: "I came. I saw. I ate cake." -Me
