Someone's getting fired...
...at WB. If you watched Yu-Gi-Oh (and if it happened in your area), one of the commercial breaks screwed up, caused the station to go off air for 15-30 seconds, then, after it was back up and Yu-gi-Oh resumed, they switched it BACK to the commercial, had anpother one, then went back to the show, causing a good little 10 second portion of Yu-Gi-Oh to be missed. That may not seem like much, but it really sucks when stuff like that happens.
And since DB is currently occupied with school stuff, I'm taking over his critic stuff until he gets back. And no, I didn't ask him if I could. I thought it'd be fun. *evil laughter*
Anyways, Megaman NT Warriors comeback episode was actually pretty good, though it would have been nice if there'd been a recap from the last episodes since it hasn't been shown for the past, oh I don't know, several months. But wB is making up for it by showing new episodes every day for the next week. Back to the show, the old element of 'turn friends against one another' was shown. This aspect has been in many classic animes (Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc, etc, etc) and it normally works. So far, Evil Empress Roll seems to be working just fine. Let's hpe the idea holds up in part two on Monday.
Yu-Gi-Oh was pretty good. I sorta like the new intro and Enter the Shadow Realm more fits this than it did for the Virtual World saga. And apparently, the Virtual World saga didn't mean a thing. Not a single mention of it the entire episode. And Marik finally threatened Ishizu. Yay! But I was rather confused. Why would Ishizu being scared appeal to him? If she were acting maniacal, I could understand, or if he said something about how he enjoyed playing with her mind, I'd understand. But, no, he likes her scared side. Scary. Incest. Oo; Another thing, I must wonder just WHERE exactly they put Odion in the first place...
Moving on, Yugi is trying to hide the fact that Bakura's gone. Oh yeah, he went for fresh air. In a blimp/whatever it is right now. While it was still in motion. And in the condition he was in. Oh yeah, real believable.
Oh, and Joey's been acting dense too. Mai's in the SHADOW REALM, of course she hasn't said a word.
Again moving on, the dueling to determine match-ups is, I must admit, pretty creative. Though, everyone should've known that Yami would protect Joey.
Unfortunately, those are the only two cartoons I watched this morning.
By the way, Megas XLR is premiering on Toonami tonight at 9 and 9.5. Sadly, no new Yu Yu.
"...And I told him to speak slowly, so you could understand." -Seto Kaiba, Yu-Gi-Oh, episode Return to Battlecity
