Question!!!!!!

Okay I know (I think)that this is just to do with the japanese language but does it matter if you spell Kikyo, like Kikyou or Kikyo?And the same with Shippo. Shippou or Shippo?Like I said I already kinda know but yeah.I need help.>.<
