Heya. Sorry that I haven't posted for a while, but I have been really scrabbling for some online time, and the urge and reason to post. I know that my shock-of-not-posting levels are nowhere near as high as say... Shy, but still, it isn't good.
Anyway, what do I have to say? Well, the night before last I did something legendary, something so over the top and exciting that you won't believe it.
I uploaded an image to my own webspace [which I recently found out about] using FTP. Yep, File Transfer Protocol. I was like "Woah, whats this?" and I went to a techie boards, Whirlpool [I think thats the right link...] and they told me a little bit about it... but I figured it out myself, many thanks to Mozilla Help for providing me with some much needed assistance.
So, yeah, I am very happy about that. I also have my very pown space to host stuff ^_^. So, screw you Angelfire, I'm moving on!
Besides, I think Angelfire found me out, because none of my hotlinked images were working. So, good news, eh, that I found out about my webspace.
I also am extremely happy due to something else.
Because, with my hockey I play Junior Outdoor, and Senior Indoor. As you know, my junior outdoor team did really well in the first matches of the season, but my indoor team didn't do so well. Well, last night, we won a game. 12:7. So happy. Because, Gold beat us, Blue beat Gold, and we beat Blue. So, it is kinda like Rock, Paper Scissors, only not. But anyway, tangents aside I am happy with our performance. Sadly, I won't be online/hockeying this weekend though, because it is my beloved Grandma's 70th Birthday. So, early in the morning we must depart for Perth, as a surprise party is in order. It might be good, but I hate missing hockey, and I hate missing computer.
Also, in other news... our toilet has broken. Backed up, or clogged or something o_O. So, we have to use the neighbours. It has been like that for the past two days now, and a plumber was supposed to be coming yesterday, but he never turned up. Apparently he was gonna turn up this morning, but we shall see. You can not possibly imagine the inconvenience of not being able to go to the loo in your own house, unless it has happened to you. It is very, very annoying. It is just one of those things that you take for granted, but can't really.... deal with not having.
Anyway...today I multiplayered over the Internet a game called Imperialism II during a free period. It was pretty cool, until the shitty computer I was on carked it and froze up. Anyway, that was pretty cool. And fun.
Until next time... Catcha.
Edit: I am shocked. Due to my own laziness, I have slipped from #47 to #48. Azurewolf is now beating me. I blame it all on you. *glares*.
Kidding.

Thought for the Day: FTP is one wild beast. Don't mess with it, unless you have to. Or if you know what you're doing, because I don't and my opinions are worthless.

Bleh. Nothing to say. A fairly boring day. However, I did make this banner for my hotmail.
What do you think? Half decent? I cooked it up in 5 mins, so it's no biggie.

Time:11:18PM Monday 17 May
Well, I am writing this update now, and won't post it until about 12, when the time switches over and it becomes a new day by mO standards. I actually have no aim in writing this, and no clue of what I really want to say.
I have some SOSE homework to do, I probably have some English I could do, but as per usual, I am on here. Sometimes I am really begrudging of the Internet like that. I know that if I wanted I could exercise my self control and do my work... but I am too lazy to be bothered. And I am not incredibly proud of that. The thing is, I don't get much time of my own at home, and so I look forward to this. I don't look forward to homework, and so I use my online time for things like this. Which is silly, I know, but what can I say?
Actually, I can say that I am really busting to 'go', which I'm sure you all wanted to know. So, I will wait a few mintes and then be back.
....
:p
Kidding. Sorry. That was just a little something I thought funny. Actually, it was kind of stupid, but meh, it's my site.
Speaking of which, my site is #47! Whoo! I am immensely happy. I do have a query though, for anyone who knows why.
Why do your backroom status and your Member list status conflict? Why is there one or two difference in the numbers shown? I have thought it was very strange and just... weird. Is there deleted accounts affectng it, or what?
Anyway, I can't think of something to say, so I am going to surf/homework until 12.
11:32
Back. But, I just have a question for you... at your school, which toilet doors are open?
Because, here, and at my other school too I think, the Males toilet door is always open, but the females is always closed. Is there some kind of conspiracy between all the non-springed-to-shut-automatically-doors to be open on Males toilets? :p.
Ok, that was stupid, but I have noticed it here. Kind of odd, really.
11:45
I have nothing to say. I have nothing to harp on about. Oh, there is the colours and stuff, but I can't change that, so why complain now?
I am completely blank. I should play Russian Roulette, I'd draw a blank every time. I can't think of any rants, anything to say... maybe I should put in a joke. If I can think of one...
Ok.
Duck in a Bar.
A duck walks into a bar, sits down and says to the bartender "Could I have some bread please?". The bartender says "Sorry sonny, but this is a liquor store, we don't sell bread."
The duck walks out.
The next day, in walks the same duck, sits on the same stool and says the same question "Could I have some bread please?". Once again, the bartender has to refuse, saying that they have no bread.
The duck walks out.
The duck walks into the bar again, and comes up to the bartender "Ya sure you don't have any bread?".
"No sonny, for the third and final time, we don't have any bread, this is a liquor store. And, if you ask me one more time for bread, I'll nail your beak to the counter!"
The duck walks out.
The next day, in walks this little duck again, swaggers up to the counter and says "You got any nails?"
"No sonny, this is a liquor store, we don't have any nails."
"Ya got any bread then?"
*cracks up*.
Sorry for that. It is one of the only jokes I remember, and I use it too much, I'm sure.
Mood: Sluggish.

What the hell is this? Light purple borders all over mO? Even in the sanctity of my own backroom?
What happened?
*breaks down* I really don't like this.
If this is some kind of mistake, and you don't get to see it, I'll tell you... all the side panels are this lavender colour, and the borders are a darker purple.. and it isn't very nice. In fact, it positively smarts the eyes.
Anyway... the walk.
Well, today dawned sunny and stayed fine for most of the time. It took us about... an hour and a half to complete the 5 km walk. It wasn't too bad, and I was nowhere near exhausted by the time we got back to the Cidery [starting point]. I had some scones and little chocolate cupcakes and we came home. It was pretty fun, I will admit.
At the moment I really should be doing homework. My mum wants me to wake her up at 3:30, and then she wants to do two hours of editing to this guys story that he wrote up . So, I won't get much more time today. However, I am chatting to a friend and doing this and procrastinating.
Hope you all liked the quiz. I might make a new OB banner set too. Later, though.
Ciao

Woah. Today was seriously legendary. We had, as you should know, the Round Robin Tournament. And, as you also should know, last year, we bit...bited...bites... sucked at it. We got seriously thrashed. And...well, I thought we had a pretty good team this year. And...we won 4 of 5 games and came equal 1st overall. I mean, all of the Year 10's from last year have moved on, but still... they aren't exactly a pushover...but we did well. As a whole my team played really well together...and I am proud. There are a few things, that I had to watch in my own performance, but after the first half of the second game I really got into it...so, that was like all day in *smudged name* playing hockey. Fun. And then mum wanted to go to this wildlife sanctuary where we patted kangaroos for like, two hours *rolls eyes*.
...
...
Ok, so it was cool. So, there was this little kangaroo called Abby who was gorgeous. So what if I enjoyed it? I can still roll my eyes! After standing for half an hour at the gate, waiting for mom to finish talking, it got a bit annoying though...lol.
Anyway, tommorrow I am going on a 'Walk for Want' thing. My mum signed up, and thought it would be a good thing to do. Essentially you walk 5km and get people to sponsor you, and the proceeds go to poor people. My mum is doing it and I am going for moral support, she says.
Apparently it is going to be raining tommorrow.
=\

I feel unhappy with my layout...I think it looks very cool, but I just feel...odd. I want to bust it around some. I either need to make an Intro banner, or change something... cut it all down to the bare basics even. I don't know. What is this inspired by? I don't know. I got a new desktop on my home computer, which is virtually a polar opposite in style and colour to my last one. My last one was a machinist, dark red piece, whereas this new one is very white, and pale blue and abstractist flower. I just feel...itchy. But it isn't that physical itching, it is that burning kind of itch inside your chest where you just feel really reckless and rash and feel like some god damn change.
I just feel really discontented with my site at the moment. It is boring...it looks good, but I want something else.
Anyway...pheeew.
My science teacher is still away, and so we had a replacement. Her name is Miss Mackay...and she is one psycho bitch from hell. I hate her! She has no damn clue what she is takling about and...aaarrgh. It is hard to put into words, but she is a psycho bitch, can be so....nasty. Bleh I hate her!
I just feel very... something today...I have this burning kind of feeling in my chest...no, it isn't like something physical,m I just feel restless, like I want to dman well do something. Something I probably should do is type up a paragraph on the differences between individual and collective wnats for next period...but I am too procrastinatory. lol. Is that even a word? Should be.
Anyway, here is an article I found on ninemsn.com. It details a comment by KISS member Gene Simmons. Tell me what you think...do you agree or disagree with his view, and what do you think about his timing and place of commenting?
KISS bassist offends Muslims
13:46 AEST Fri May 14 2004
KISS bass player Gene Simmons has caused an uproar among Australia's Muslim community by launching an attack on Islamic culture while in Melbourne.
The lizard-tongued rock god who is touring Australia with the world's most enduring glam rock band launched an attack on Muslim extremists during an interview on Melbourne's 3AW radio.
"Extremism believes that it's okay to strap bombs on to your children and send them to paradise and whatever else and to behead people," he said.
The Israeli-born US musician went on to say Islam was a "vile culture" that treated women worse than dogs.
Muslim women had to walk behind their men and were not allowed to be educated or own houses, he said.
"Your dog, however, can walk side by side, your dog is allowed to have its own dog house... you can send your dog to school to learn tricks, sit, beg, do all that stuff - none of the women have that advantage."
He went on to say the west was under threat.
"This is a vile culture and if you think for a second that it's going to just live in the sands of God's armpit you've got another thing coming," he said.
"They want to come and live right where you live and they think that you're evil."
Simmons said the United Nations approach did not work and the west had to "speak softly and carry a big stick".
The radio station fielded calls from Muslims upset at the comments, including Australian Muslim of the year Susan Carland, who said Australian Muslims rejected extremism and did not fit Simmons' stereotype.
Ms Carland said she had two degrees, was doing her honours and "certainly do not walk behind my husband".
Chairman of the Islamic Council of Victoria Yasser Soliman said Simmons' comments were "very unfortunate".
"He's very famous obviously and popular and, as a result, influential," he said.
"Mixing the entertainment world with the political and religious world is a minefield."
Edit: Looking for a kind-hearted soul to donate some bandwidth for a post background...

One fine day, with a woof and a purr,
a baby was born and it caused a little stir,
no [something-er-othery] no three eyed frog,
it was a feline-canine,
little Cat-Dog,
CatDog!
CatDog!
Alone in the world was a little Cat Dog.
Aah. Cat-Dog. One of my favourite cartoons ever. I was going to type up all of the song, but I can't be bothered. Thats me for you, lazy to the bone.
And uninspired, best not to forget that. Yes, I am completely uninspired. What should I do with myotaku? What can I talk about... I know, Hockey.
Well, it was Seniors Indoor Hockey last night. My team lost, by something like 12-4. It was a good game, hard fast and well played. But we were outplayed.
On Saturday, I have a round-robin tournament for juniors outdoor hockey, which'll be good. Six teams. So, that'll go from 8:00 to 12:00. I really enjoy my hockey...it is such a good natured sport, and fun. It isn't like football or anything, where they're all yobs and yelling abuse and stuff...it is nice.
Everyone from there is a nice group of people...I like all of the coaches, and most of the kids... it just seems like a really nice crowd of people. Footballers are just arseholes, lol. Sorry 'bout the language, but as a general, blanket rule I don't find footballers to be the type of people that I'd hang out with.
I haven't done anything interesting today. Nothing at all. So, bleh. Later on, probably tonight I might post up a magazine cover and contents page I designed for English. We'll see. Keep an eye on OB, if you happen to give a damn :p

Hey. I didn't get online at all yesterday ;_;. Not for so much as one smidgeon of a micro-second. That amount of time wouldn't have done me anything anyway, but I still didn't get online. I did however, finish off my maths homework, and I did finish off some English homework. So, I suppose there are some good points to it.
Today I...err. Didn't do much. Yesterday I got home, did stuff...and...err. Did my maths...and.
Man, I am one big bore, aren't I? Where is all the Hollywood glamour? Where is the chic, the interest, the huge cash-cowing? Where is the Lotto-winning?
Next door, of course. No, my neighbours didn't win the Lotto, but you get what I am saying? Interesting stuff always seems to happen to others, and I'm left in the dust. Heh. I don't wanna be Mr. Social or anything....but there is a line, lol. So, to fill up the space where my life should go, I am going to put in some quizzes. Yay! Lame Excuses #101 taught me that!
Woah. Thats cool.
I am partly innocent. See? The quiz said so!
;_; Am not.

Rain, rain, go away...
Comment |
Permalink
Time: 11:54AM, Monday 10 April
What a lousy day. It is overcast, cloudy, gale force winds and heavy rain. What an utter prig of a day. It is really horrible outside. I suppose we're gonna have to move from the boundary fence to somewhere else, a bit more sheltered for breaks.
Anyway, this morning I did a little bit of homework, [which involved me getting to read Rolling Stone, so it's cool], and filled out a table. Then I came in here and mucked around on computer. But, earlier this morning I did something I am very proud of ^_^.
I woke up at 6, did my situps and stuff. Then, I wanted to fix up some songs. You see, I had downloaded this one version of Usher's song, but it had some skipping and was pretty low quality. So, I downloaded another copy of it, which was better, almost perfect, but had about 10 seconds of this crazy loud staticy noise. So, with immense skill and about twenty or so attempts, I selected the parts I needed from the crappy version, and replaced the static in the good one with that. And it is almost seamless! There is a very slight skip, which you probably wouldn't notice if you weren't listening for it. Much thanks go to Nero Wave Editor for allowing me to achieve this amazing goal! lol.
Now, the next thing is to make some of my own music using copied noises from other songs. That'd be fun to try. It is a very...accomplishing feeling to have done something that you have never done before. So, I am happy.
Lunch'll be rolling around in about twenty minutes, and it is relatively snug in here and everything is OK. Life is reasonably good...except for any love life. *sighs*. Well, there is some...but not anything like it used to be. I guess flirting is fickle. *sighs wistfully*.
:p. If you didn't get the whole jokingness of that, then sorry for being too serious in my joking. Heh.
Black Horizon is going like nothing- which is fairly disappointing. The first one was a legendary RPG...but this one is always getting delayed. I would love to launch my own RPG, but I need some idea for it...something novel that would interest people. I find myself drawn to ones that are more real life, rather than fantasy, which kind of narrows down any plots. Something involving Mafia was my last one [Bullets and Drugs: Volatile Mix], and I think that is the kind of angle I would take again...if I can't come up with anything else.
Also, I have the Sasser virus, which I only heard about last night! On one of my internet accounts, my computer consistently shuts down...and it is all thanks to some loser in Germany. I mean, why make a virus? And send it out into Netdom? It is annoying and pointless...to my mind, anyway. Does anyone know where I could find a patch for it? Some way to delete it?
Anyway, I think that's about all that I have to say today. Keep well, y'all.
Mood: Pleased with myself.
