Hiyas! I haven't been on in a long time have I? I've been very busy lately, so I'll try to update you. . .let's see, last week, actually 2 weeks ago, we had real bad snow and 2 snow days, so that was fun, but we had to make them up so we didn't get President's Day off. I'm officially a white belt in tae kwon do (the lowest belt) but this past Thursday night I earned 3 stripes that showed I knew what I needed to know, like the Ichil il dan and the 5 defenses and my 6 korean words. . . I got recognized, so that made me happy! Ummmmm, I got two of my ceramic pieces back, and they turned out great! Friday night I stayed home and didn't really do anything except watch movies and some art and stuff. I'm starting to feel a little less stressed from money issues, I just have to take everything real slow like. . .oh, and last night I babysat my friends little brother and cousin because her and her parents went out, and I got $10, plus a free haircut!!!! So I'm gonna do that before spring break! Oh, and I'm babysitting all day today because my parents left to go to my brother's basketball game (college one) so I get to play nursemaid and butler and chauffeur and all that good stuff >.< Oh, and it is officially the Lenten season, so I gave up sweets. . . TT.TT I don't think I'll be able to make it TTT.TTT
I must go, but here are some questions:
1) Did it snow really hard where you are?
2)Would you ever be interested in taking any martial arts?
3)Do you go anywhere for spring break? (I go to Florida)
4)Miss me?
OH YEAH! I got the Happy Feet sound track!!! Woohoo, it has the funnest songs! Boogey-wonderland!.
K, so I am officially a white belt in tae kwon do, and I'm hopefully going to become a yellow belt soon! But the money is the problem, because I have to pay for it and it doesn't come cheap, buuuuut Master Chei is very nice and lenient, so I'll hopefully work out a deal with him! I have a fan art up for mewmewichigo, if people wanna go comment, and I'll hopefully have another one up soon! Gotta go to bed, because I have work at 8 am, so I'll get to all 35 pm's later tonight, and to people's sites! Oh, and I'm going sledding tonight cause here in Indy we have a ton of snow on the ground, plus we're supposed to get more today! Laters all, g'night!.
I had my first tae kwon do lesson on Thursday, and I loved it!!!!! It's sooo much fun, but it'll take a lot of hard work. And I was pretty lost for a bit because Master Chei expects you to know names of different words and fighting moves in korean, so everyone else was saying stuff and I kinda just listened. I remember what patience means though! It's in nae! But I'm sure I'm gonna forget everything T.T I just can't wait for Tuesday now! Plus, their was this kinda cute guy there who happened to be a blackbelt and happened to kinda teach us (stretch us out) until Master Chei came. He made me sit at the front of the class because I had to see what was going on *grin* So I got to watch him for some time *bigger grin* But this guy was awesome! I was watching him before class when he was warming up, and he was doing all this cool staffwork and moves and jumps and stuff! Very cool. But it will take me awhile to get used to the discipline. You bow and stuff before anything--can't even go to the bathroom before bowing! And the words will be difficult. . .plus I don't even have a belt. . .and there's already 2 other Brittany's there. . .not to mention the $$ issue, cause I'm paying for it. . . But it'll be a BLAST!! TAE KWON DO!!!!! Plus, did you know that it was a Korean martial art? I had no idea, I just knew it was a martial art *grin* Go figure, learn something new every day!.
Last night stunk! It was not fun at all! We got to Jess's house, and we had pizza, but I wasn't hungary so I didn't eat any. We talked, but I was starting to get very tired, so I'll admit I wasn't the greatest of party guests. But I tried, I really did. So after hangning out at Jess's, we go to the bowling place, only to find out that the bowling lanes had been closed for some reason. So we all pile back into our seperate cars and drive to another bowling ally, only to get there and find out that there's a 2 hour waiting list. Plus, on the way to the 2nd bowling place, one of my friends had to get dropped of at the hospital because her mom was in the ER. Not a good start to the night. Then we go to a starbucks, and by that time Cori adn I only have about 45 minutes left to the night. . . and everyone else decides to go back to the first bowling alley (there was other stuf there too) and by that time, Cori and I don't have enough time to go, so we just had to go home. T.T I should've just stayed home. And I'm not feeling too good today either! Not a good night!.
Okay, so I got a total of 19 hours of sleep yesterday, so I'm feeling much better today! Thank you everyone for your worries and concern, but today I'm only feeling a little sore (probably a result of the muscle relaxers. . .hehe, muscle relaxers are my new best friend!) Anywho, I've been up and about all day today, but I wasn't allowed to go to work, won't work tomorrow, and almost wasn't allowed to go out tonight! But I convinced my mom to let me out of the house for a few hours. See, my friends and I had planned this fun bowling get together for tonight, and I was going to spend the night at my friend Jess's house and we were getting pizza and bowling and then I was gonna stay at Jess's and we were gonna play Samurai Warrior and make cookies, but then the car accident happened and my mom won't let me do anything. I know she's doing it cause she loves me and wants me to recoup and all, but I still really want to do everything and hang out and all. It's frustrating not being able to do anything! So I probably won't be going to any Super Bowl Parties--er, scratch that. Not going to any Big Game parties (stupid NFL legalities!) Have you heard that no one is allowed to have a party and call it a Super Bowl party, or gather with more than a certian number of people to watch it, or charge for snacks if they do, OR watch it on any TV bigger than 55"? Isn't that stupid?!!! This is FREAKING AMERICA!!! We are allowed to watch a game on any tv we want! So alot of churches in Indy have had to cancel their Super Bowl family parties because of all that NFL bullshit, and it just seems real screwy to me. . . sorry, enough with venting.
I got a new calendar, it's a Samurai Champloo calendar, and it's really cool looking! I love it! Anyway, thanks again for your concern, and Talk to ya'll later!.
I feel so gross right now. I was in a car accident Thursday morning (not in my new car, thank god). Let's see, here's how it went down. We (my carpool Courtney and I) were going down 62nd street to get to school, and we were in the right hand lane of course. Well, there were 3 cars in the left hand lane, 1 sec *wave of nasea* okay, better. Anywho, 3 cars in the left hand lane, and the first one stops suddenly to turn into a side street. Car #2 slams on their breaks, and car #3 can't stop in time, so they swerve into our lane. *CRASH* front end collision. Car totalled. I remember seeing it coming, so I put up my hands in front of my face, as if that would stop an accident *smiles wryly*. So, Courtney's knee went into the steering wheel, so she had to go to the hospital and get x-rays. But everyone was okay, and Courtney was the most seriously injured. I don't remeber how we got to the side of th road, but I do remember the airbags deploying and stumbling out of the car. I wasn't crying or anything, but my brain seemed to take control as I assessed the situation and made sure everyone was all right. I got all of my stuff out of the car (the chemical smoke from the airbag did mess with my throat, though, because I had to go back in for Courtney's stuff, too) and a lady ran over to help us. Thank God for those people, God bless them, because without them we would've been in worse shape. A nice lady had heard the crash and stopped her car on the side street, then ran over and took us under her wing, pulling us back from the street where millions of pieces of the cars were getting run over and shooting out from under other cars. She took us to her car and made us relax and call our parents. A person drove by and told us they had already called the police, and several others offered their help and asked if we were ok. Another lady came from a nearby house and offered to let us in to get warm and maybe have some tea, and she then brought an icepack for courtney's knee, because she was a nurse (convenient huh?) But everyone was okay. I tried to go to school after that, and I made it through 4 periods before I had to go home. I tried to go today too, but called even earlier to go home because I felt very nautious and yucky.
Injury catalog: I have two finger nail marks in my eyebrow from when I lifted my hands and the airbag sent them into my face; bruised left hip from the seat belt; burn on my upper right leg from the chemicals in the airbag; and very sore all over. I went to the doctor and they gave me muscle relaxers, cause my neck and back are veyr tense. She also said the nasea was caused by all of my inner organs being pushed forward from the crash, but nothing serious there. . .wow, I feel gross, but I'm glad I feel something at all. So, that's my story, I'm gonna try and visit everyone's site and my 32pm's and and, try not to throw up. . . I've only eaten 2 pieces of toast today, with some sprite, but I could barely get that down! But I am feeling better after sleeping for about 3-4 hours. . ..
Okay, drama in the household! I come home today and my mom asks me to go help my little brother Alex with feeding and watering the dogs. So I do, but not before I see her escort my other brother Ramiro into his room and shut the door. I start walking down the stairs when I hear my mom screaming at him saying he stole Alex's $80 from christmas, and after that I got out of the house quick to try and destract Alex while my mom stops screaming. All I hear is my mom "You stole his MONEY! You stole your little brother's MONEY!" and Ramiro going "I didn't stael the money" and my mom screaming "Don't you lie to me!!!!"
O.O OOOO.OOOO" Ahhhh, this is horrible! I hate when shit like this happens! *breathing fast* I hate it I hate it I HATE IT!!!!!
But, I guess he had Alex's $80, another $65 from somewhere, and my older brother's, Dan, class ring! My mom is soooo scary right now, because she can't STAND lying and sneaking about. . . trust me, I learned the hard way *shudder shiver shudder* .
Hey, gues what?!!! I GOT A CAR!!!!!!!! And it's a nice one too! I shall put up pictures of it and I really like it and everything! I'se is sooooo happy! Lets see, any news? Ummmm, ceramics is still totally awesome and sweet and I love it! 2nd period is now the best part of the day, heck yes! Oh, found a new awesome website called www.mangavolume.com and it has a ton of downloaded mangas on their, so check it out sometime! I have also become obsessed with the manga/anime called Wallflower (also known as Perfect Girl Evolution and Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge) It's really funny, so here's the first episode (or part 1/2.
Ummmm, anything else? My bro has 3 friends over, and I had a snowball fight with them and I stuck snow down all their shirts and creamed them before my hands froze (no gloves) and they pelted me mercilessly with snowballs *grins* Twas fun, but I think I got frostbite, or was really close to it, cause my fingertips were purplish and they took about 5 hours to stop tingling even under warm water, and a few are still numbish now, but oh well! Saw An Epic Movie tonight, and it was hilarious, but their was some parts that were just WRONG on sooooo many levels! hehe "white bitch" hehe *giggles* Well, must go answer 52 pm's and then visit everyone's sites! Laters!.
Yeah, I finally got to send out my New Year's pic! I'm not allowed on the internet on school days, so I couldn't get it up until now! Let's see, I was busy this week, cause no school Monday, school Tuesday, left halfway through wednesday, gone all day thursday, and back today. What was I doing you may ask? Welll, see, my two older bro's, Dan and Greg, both play college basketball. And their teams were playing each other. Sooo, my whole family went to Nashville Tennessee to see the game, which was awesome by the way! It was so much fun, and we sat like, right on the court (great seat's cause Dan's a senior) and I made a special Vanderbilt shirt and wore my Alabama sweats, and it was awesome! So, that was fun, but what's not fun is that my aunt and uncle and little cousing came too, so they stayed in my room Tuesday night, and are here till Sunday! I'm kicked out of my room for that long!! I miss my bed *cries* and I have to share a room with my 6 year old sister Mia, and it's sooo annoying, especially since half the stuff I need is in my room! So, anyway, I must go to bed since it's 1:15 in the morning and I have to be up by 7 to get ready to work at 8 >< I hate the early morning opening shifts, but at least that means I get my nights free! Anyway, I shall comment on everyone's later today! See ya later! I missed you all! *hugs* G'night.
Okies, well I'm hyped on coke (coka-cola nimrods XP) and DDR and Kareoke (sp?) (like DDR but singing)! I just went to friends house and we hung out and stuff, and it was fun! Plus I had a mondo cup of coke, so I have lots and lots of caffiene in my system!
Well, the second semester is starting out okay, but I'm already sick of it. Except for 2nd period! I finally get to take my ceramics class, and I absolutely LOVE it! we're on our first project, making pinch pot apothecary bottles (little medicine bottles) and I have soooo many good designs that I can't choose the one I want to do! here, I'll scan them in. . . while that's scanning, I'll just ramble on! I really want to take Tae Kwon Do, but I'm worried about expenses. Oh, and about ceramics, we have these journals that we have to fill up completely by the end of the semster, and I have such good ideas for it too! anyway, here's the pic!
Anyway, explanation time! Apothecary bottles are little medicinal jars that have removable stoppers in the top.
1)K, first pic in top left is a skull and crossbones. The pirates hat would be the stopper, based off of Capt'n Jack Sparrows hat!
2)Top right is a delicate bottle. The base is a flower and the stopper is a flower. In the flower sits a fairy, and there are 2 delicate handles on each side as well.
3)Bottom left is a Japanese Carry-out box. It will have japanese symbols all over it, and the handle is at the top, with the stopper being a pair of chopsticks!
4)bottom right is a wolf. It is howling at the moon, with the feet as the base of the bottle, and tail as the handle, and the head as the stopper.
5)Not pictured but in mind: I think it would be also cool if (anyone seen Memoirs of a Geisha?) I made a bottle that looked like the special Geisha hair ornaments/pins, and had some doo-dad or bauble as the stopper (see pics below)*points to hair pins*
Sorry for the long post, just had sooo much to say! And those were the best pics I could find of any hair pieces! Now vote for your favorite bottle idea please please oh please (reason I gave you numbers)! I can make any or all of them, so don't choose based on difficulty! I truly need help deciding! Please and thank you!.
