Yucky
| .:Bbast:.
I feel so gross right now. I was in a car accident Thursday morning (not in my new car, thank god). Let's see, here's how it went down. We (my carpool Courtney and I) were going down 62nd street to get to school, and we were in the right hand lane of course. Well, there were 3 cars in the left hand lane, 1 sec *wave of nasea* okay, better. Anywho, 3 cars in the left hand lane, and the first one stops suddenly to turn into a side street. Car #2 slams on their breaks, and car #3 can't stop in time, so they swerve into our lane. *CRASH* front end collision. Car totalled. I remember seeing it coming, so I put up my hands in front of my face, as if that would stop an accident *smiles wryly*. So, Courtney's knee went into the steering wheel, so she had to go to the hospital and get x-rays. But everyone was okay, and Courtney was the most seriously injured. I don't remeber how we got to the side of th road, but I do remember the airbags deploying and stumbling out of the car. I wasn't crying or anything, but my brain seemed to take control as I assessed the situation and made sure everyone was all right. I got all of my stuff out of the car (the chemical smoke from the airbag did mess with my throat, though, because I had to go back in for Courtney's stuff, too) and a lady ran over to help us. Thank God for those people, God bless them, because without them we would've been in worse shape. A nice lady had heard the crash and stopped her car on the side street, then ran over and took us under her wing, pulling us back from the street where millions of pieces of the cars were getting run over and shooting out from under other cars. She took us to her car and made us relax and call our parents. A person drove by and told us they had already called the police, and several others offered their help and asked if we were ok. Another lady came from a nearby house and offered to let us in to get warm and maybe have some tea, and she then brought an icepack for courtney's knee, because she was a nurse (convenient huh?) But everyone was okay. I tried to go to school after that, and I made it through 4 periods before I had to go home. I tried to go today too, but called even earlier to go home because I felt very nautious and yucky.
Injury catalog: I have two finger nail marks in my eyebrow from when I lifted my hands and the airbag sent them into my face; bruised left hip from the seat belt; burn on my upper right leg from the chemicals in the airbag; and very sore all over. I went to the doctor and they gave me muscle relaxers, cause my neck and back are veyr tense. She also said the nasea was caused by all of my inner organs being pushed forward from the crash, but nothing serious there. . .wow, I feel gross, but I'm glad I feel something at all. So, that's my story, I'm gonna try and visit everyone's site and my 32pm's and and, try not to throw up. . . I've only eaten 2 pieces of toast today, with some sprite, but I could barely get that down! But I am feeling better after sleeping for about 3-4 hours. . ..
