PAN PAN BOORUPEN.
1) My mother is seriously considering buying a carrier bag from the American Girl Place just for Remy. I was all WTF when she suggested it, but I suppose it could be useful?

The most amusing thing of all is when my mother said that, in comparison to Rem, "the American Girl dolls are fat."

2) happiestwhen is currently in Japan, and was lucky enough to attend a DBSK concert at the Budokan. The freaking Budokan. RAGING JEALOUSY aside, her concert report is the cutest thing. Makes me wish I was there. :(

3) AKANISHI JIN CAN'T SING ANYMORE AHHHHHHHH. And he was, like, one of the only guys in JE who could! Also wtf is up with his hairstyle in that video? Oh, Jin. :(

Neko ga nekonda nekoronda.

I've decided to start fangirling BoA. She dances amazingly well (like everyone else in Korea, I swear); I'm really quite impressed!


AND ISN'T SHE PRETTY. God, I hope this doesn't make me a lesbian.

ANYWAY. Despite dedicating the majority of my free time to fandom, I've somehow managed to watch almost all of the films I consider worth checking out. My favorites of the films I've watched recently are Children of Men and Little Children, coincidentally. Also although it wasn't one of my favorites, Primeval was a lot better than I expected. It really is not just a "creature monster" flick like the advertisements would lead you to believe.

My sister bought the Letters from Iwo Jima DVD for my birthday, although she has yet to, you know, actually give it to me. But I still recommend others watch, if not because it seems like a genuinely excellent film, then at least watch it for Nino. *o*

Stuff like this is the reason why these first few days of summer vacation have been utterly unproductive. Dong Bang, stop eating my liiiiiife!

IRIGUCHI, DEGUCHI, TAGUCHI DESU.
1) My DBSK official photo set came in today, along with my one itty bitty shop photo of Akanishi Jin. My computer is being wonky with the USB ports, so I can't show any pictures currently, although I'll probably be posting them on LJ soon enough. <3

The DBSK pictures are amazing quality. They're glossed! And I got TWO gorgeous pictures of JaeJoong, not including the group pic. <33333

2) As of late, I've been obsessively listening to the song below, if not just because it is so far removed from what comes to mind when most hear the words "boyband music." Or even K-Pop in general for that matter.


3) Thanks to the flist, I started watching Full House, my first Korean drama. Amazingly, it's a comedy! And a really funny one at that. Although I still don't think Bi/Rain is all that hot. Sorry, fangirls.

As for J-dramas, I'm almost done watching Orange Days, which for many reasons is reminiscent of Honey and Clover, IMO. Highly recommended. <3

4) I have no idea what's up with my abuse of <3 lately, but. Deal with it.

Also, enjoy the lame Japanese puns I've been using for post titles as of late. :3

Korenglish?


Yes, the Aladdin song. There was a Disney event in Korea (or maybe it was Japan, I don't remember) where they had a bunch of K-Pop artists (DBSK obviously included) cover famous Disney songs. In English.

So yesterday, my older sister decided to randomly look through the songs on my iPod, and the above was the first one to really catch her eye. She didn't really comment at first, since Yoochun's English pronunciation is actually pretty good. But when she got to JaeJoong and Junsu's part in the chorus, she went LOL THE ENGRISH and ended up listening to it three times in a row, laughing all the while.

Now she wants the song on her iPod. Not the best way to introduce a person to Dong Bang, but hey, I take what I can get. :3

NAMA MUGI NAMA GOME NAMA TAMAGO.
I figure now is as good a time as any to list my summer plans (and I think I'll actually follow through with them this time!):

1) From June 26th to July 21st I'll be away, first in California for AX2007 (SKIN CONCERT PREMIER TICKETS FTW), then on a cruise to Hawaii for a couple weeks. Pray that my crazy cousins don't eat me in my sleep. D:

2) Learn Korean! Although I'm taking the class next school year, Japanese I taught me there's big advantage in knowing a bit of the language before going into the classroom. (I KNOW WHAT SARANGHAE MEANS, HEH.)

3) College applications. Since I'm planning to do Early Action for most of the colleges I'm applying to. D:

4) SHOPPING. I need a new wardrobe, and I figure if I can spend a shitload of money and time buying fancy clothes for Rem, then I can do so for myself too. :D

5) Aaand I need some way of earning money. Because I don't like being spoiled and having money showered on me all the time, so I think I should actually earn some of it. But I'm picky, and I really do not want to work at a grocery store or anything to do with customer relations if I can help it. (I will be terrible and bitch at people. D:) So I don't think I have many options. :/

6) If I do find some way of earning money, then SPEND IT ALL ON JE AND DONG BANG YAAAAY.

Oh, and a new wig came in for Rem, but it doesn't fit his big head. So I'll either ask someone to somehow widen the wig cap or I'll just sell it off. :(

First of all, I BLAME THIS LAYOUT ON JAEJOONG.




Anyway. This might just be due to lack of exposure to the language, but Korean seems so much more difficult to pronounce than Japanese. Consider:

HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO PRONOUNCE THAT AHHHHHH.

EDIT: This is the hottest piece of merchandise I've ever seen and I MUST have it. (Ganked from thievingbird.)

Sorry Rem, but it looks like the money for your new boots might be spent on shinier endeavors. >_>;;
