I *heart* Korea
I used to watch a lot of Korean gameshows a few years back, mainly because they were the types of shows that you could understand through context alone. My mother's biggest complaint of Korean gameshows were that "the women are always pretty, but the guys are so unattractive!"

And then I found Hero Jaejoong of DBSK.

What. The Hell, Korea?

If I had known that you had men this pretty, I would've started listening to your music earlier! :3

I'm actually asking for some concrit on that last one, believe it or not; would it work better without that little transition at the end (the flashes of gray) or should I keep it?

Is there milk in Japan?
Some people over at LJ were kind enough to sub a documentary made in the Netherlands about JE. It mostly focuses on two songwriters from the Netherlands who have composed some songs for JE, as well as the inner-workings of JE itself.

Although it's mostly about Johnny's, I'd recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the Japanese entertainment industry as a whole. And I think it improves upon whatever it was I was trying to do with my Jimusho article. ^^;

...I think the documentary has made me a Tackey and Tsubasa fan. Why am I so lame. *facepalm*

I have a love affair with Engrish, I think.
Apparently, Jin's Engrish is so bad that it's earned its own term: Jingrish.

...Jingrish.

Two quick examples:

"I AM PUNCH."

If I understood the clip correctly, Jin told the other two to add "I am" to the start of their responses. And the kid was like, "LOL Jin, you're stupid."

"MONEY. MISETE KUDASAI."

Asking a tourist for money and miserably failing.

Even now that he's come back from his 6 month stay in LA, it seems his Engrish has not too much improved. Because he was too busy clubbing.

I MADE THESE.
I know how to make animated gifs! It took a while to get everything down, but I'm really happy with the result. Especially since I feel that I have something to contribute to fandom now. XD

It was a real bother to get these things hosted, though; I made seventeen gifs and they're all pretty huge files individually. They actually made a few of my ripway accounts crash, which is why there is no banner or background on my myO page currently. ^^;

Anyway, here are two of my most favorite gifs out of the batch; Uchi (who is a girl, for those of you who remember) and Ryo-kun eating. Except that Uchi almost literally has a foodgasm everytime he eats something. XD

GOLF. MIKE. YEAH!!!!
ekala_sy_eph over at LJ decided to put KAT-TUN'S REAL FACE music video in 1.5x speed. And what she created was MAGIC.

Well, magic and chipmunk voices.

What makes it even funnier is that REAL FACE is actually a pretty damn good song--it just sounds SO jacked when sped up; I laughed HYSTERICALLY throughout the guitar solo.

And just to squeeze in some non-JE crack:

Golf & Mike's Bounce sped up. It has the best intro ever. (Yes, we're delving into the realm of Thai Pop. BE VERY SCARED.)
