Episode 2 of Those Krazy Osakans
I honestly believe that kanjani8 (also known as the ENGLISH TALK ONLY OK guys) is one of those JE bands that anyone could love, not just flaily teenage girls. And this is why:

On an episode of kanjani8's variety show, honjani, the boys played a game in which the object was to blow out at least seven out of ten candles in one try. Simple enough, right?

Until you find out what happens when they fail. A pair dressed as a bunny and a tanuki hop in from out of nowhere...

...restrain the victim and pop a balloon in his face...

...and then merrily skip away. IT'S LIKE A CRAZY HIT-AND-RUN.

Some other choice moments:

Shingo glaring at the bunny and tanuki as they flee.

Yasuda looking traumatized post-balloon popping.

Ryo-kun at point-blank range.

And if you have yet to notice, THEY ARE CROSSDRESSING (badly, might I add) THE ENTIRE TIME. OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THEM THEY ARE SO AWESOME I DECLARE MY LOVE FOR EVERYTHING OSAKAN.

I figure now is as good a time as any to post about my plans for ACen. First off, I don't plan on hanging around the Dealer's Room nearly as much as I have in previous years, since I've used all of my money on BJD stuff. So to anyone else who is going, don't expect to bump into me there.

Instead, I'll probably spend my time at panels and at the various BJD meets going on throughout the weekend. I'll probably try to attend at least one concert too, since the Japanese bands this year actually seem pretty good.

And somewhere between all of this, I'll have to somehow meetup with Katana and Shinkiro and whoever else is going. Without a cellphone. *PANICS!!*

And just because I need a bit of fangirling in every post I make, here's my favorite pic of Ryo-kun and Yamapi:

*o*

I was going to make up some bull about how natural-looking the pic is and that being the reason why I like it so much, but who am I kidding? I like it because even tired, anorexic-looking Yamapi is somehow adorable to me and they're in CLOSE PROXIMITY!!!1 to each other and Ryo-kun could kill me with that look in his eyes alone.

I apologize to the guys who visit my myO, I really do. I'll gladly post gifs of Japanese girls doing hip thrusts in hideous clothing if it helps make up for all of this. :3

My favorite cutscene from the original Devil May Cry:

Because I currently don't have anything better to post. :3

Off-topic note: Why do people put onions, carrots, and freaking parsley in sushi? Does anyone else find that horribly unappetizing?

EDIT: I'm thinking of getting another wig for Rem (not a replacement wig, just another one), and I can't decide between a straight, long-haired wig or a short, boy-ish one. A little help? :D

EDIT #2: I decided to get a super girly, long-haired wig and NO ONE CAN STOP ME.

Made this papercraft a while back, though I decided not to post it until now.

Silent Hill 2: Pyramid Head

I also had an outdoor photoshoot with Rem before I left, and this was easily my favorite picture of the lot:

Also, assuming everything goes according to plan, Remy should be getting a pair of glasses some time next week. :3

My profile song changed yet again upon my realization that Akanishi Jin (a.k.a. "the fatty who needs to diet" according to Ryo-kun) can SING. Without even a hint of nasalness in his voice! And it's a rock ballad. I think I'm in love you guys.

I think this best depicts my myO's current state

Now that Yamapi has likely blinded you with his sequin-laced clothing: I'm going away to a relative's house for a few days. (Spring break wut.) This means two things:

1) My username won't be highlighted in blue for once.
2) You'll all be deprived of my wit and wisdom in the upcoming days. I know it will be difficult, but BE STRONG, you guys.

In an effort to prove that I DO still listen to good music...
I've been on a big hide kick these past few days, after not listening to his music in over a year.

hide, and all of X-Japan for that matter, are legends in Japan, and if you have yet to try out his music, you should do so immediately. Which is why I have provided a couple of his most well-known songs below. 8D

On that note, if anyone ever needs any J-Rock song/band reccs, feel free to ask me. I might have been primarily a L'Arc~en~Ciel/Gackt fan back in the day, but I learned a LOT along the way.

...Oh hell, here's an X-Japan song too, just because:

The intro would mislead most into thinking it's just another X-Japan ballad. And it is a ballad, just one with Yoshiki's FURIOUS DRUMMING!!!

So yeah, listen to the songs!

The competition is finally over. I ended up not really winning anything, though it was still an interesting experience.

Although I'm not sure if it's something I'll want to do again next year. The competition made the past couple weeks rather stressful for me, and since the experience as a whole was far from spectacular (for various reasons), I feel as if all the work didn't quite pay off in the end. A lot happens in a year though, so I could easily end up changing my mind.

I did, however, get a gift bag at the end that had all these really cool little things like an abacus and a glass puzzle that involves rice crackers and pineapples. :D

When did Photobucket start hosting videos? o_O
I think now is an appropriate time to introduce the utter WIN that is JE concerts.

Although the special effects of live-action Japanese movies and such are not always spectacular, big Japanese concerts rarely ever look "cheap," even by American standards.

That said, Johnny's concerts are well-known for being high on the list of shows with big production values. Some fans have described the concerts as being "one finale after another," which really isn't that far of a stretch; sometimes just the lighting alone is amazing to look at. This particular clip is one of Ryo's solos from a kanjani8 concert because... well, that's just how I roll. :P

And for the record, those backup dancers have WONDERFUL hips, as pervy as I'm sure that sounds. Lesson of the post: JE boys can shake it just as well as any girl.

Off-topic note: The speech competition is tomorrow. Let's hope a miracle happens, and I win that trip to Osaka, yes? :)

EDIT: The nerves just hit me. I'm starting to get really nervous, you guys! o_o!

They're like your collective older brother, if your older brother was hot and more successful than you and Japanese.
Since I'm now a full-fledged self-professed Johnny's fangirl, earlier this week, I decided to start collecting pictures. But I've always had issues with keeping pics organized, since I always give them crappy filenames like "banner2" or something.

So I decided that I needed to think of better filenames. This is what I came up with for Ryo-kun's folder:

At first I was just messing around, but it works surprisingly well! All other JE-related pic folders are now done in a similar way. XD

A couple of my favorite screencaps of the ones collected so far:

Ryo's expression when he realizes he was caught on camera yelling, "NICE BREASTS!" to one of his fans.

The LOOK on Yamapi's face. It's like he's HORRIFIED. <3

I've been pronouncing the word watashi incorrectly for all these years! I should've caught on to this earlier, since I've lectured/ranted about stressed syllables to people before; I've been saying waTAshi instead of wataSHI. And I have to somehow correct this habit by Saturday. I'm screwed!

And on the exact opposite side of the spectrum, here's kanjani8 attempting to MC in English:

For those of you who can't understand that babble (not that I blame you, haha), here's a quick Engrish translation:

"English talk only, okay?"
"Okay!"
"All English! All English!"
"Oh, very difficult!"
"I am hungry!"
"Hungry?"
"I'm... stomachache. I'm stomachache!"
"What!"
"I am... (chouberiburu? I have no idea what he's saying here.)"
"Oh, sorry! I wish!"
"Oh geez!"
"Geez!"
"Oh, Jesus!"
"Jesus!"
"THOMAS!"
"You are funny!"
"Oh, thank you!"
"Are you a comedian?"
"No, no, no! I'm Japanese idol!"
"He's a liar!"
"Liar! Liar!"

--I have no idea what they're saying for about 20 seconds.

"What's your name?"
"Mike?"
"Mike?!"
"Mike!"
"No, Smith!"
"Smith!"
"Okay okay, Smith okay. Mike? Smith or Mike? Smith or Mike?"
"Okay okay okay. Everything okay."
"English talk finish?"
"Finish!"

Forgive their dorkiness; they're Osakan. XD
