BIG BANG IS V.I.P. :DDDD
Basically, this is one of those groups that I never thought I'd like that I eventually ended up liking. Story of my life. (And apparently, most other Big Bang fans feel the same way. WE ARE ALL SO WEAK.)

DO NOT BE SCARED OFF BY THEIR GHETTOFAB AZN AMERICAN CLOTHING. I swear they are better than they might first appear. xDD

I was telling my friend how I like that their English is actually understandable and she was like, "...It is?" I thought their English was pretty good! ;___;

More fic crap.
To be more specific... I'm looking for a bit of concrit regarding a short passage of Overture I typed up last night. It's actually from the last/climax scene of the fic because I am weird and sometimes write climax scenes first, although there isn't much in the way of spoilers. But anyway, this part in particular just REALLY, REALLY bothers me, although I don't know if it's just me being paranoid or if it's genuinely bad. So yes, any help and advice is greatly, greatly appreciated. <3

Jaejoong mumbled words against the other boy’s soft, slightly tousled hair. “I’m glad you volunteered to be leader, Yunho.”

The boy addressed didn’t bother to analyze the meaning of Jaejoong’s words, knowing that the workings of the other boy’s mind were still a mystery to him despite their connection. “And why’s that?”

Because I could follow you anywhere, Jaejoong thought, but decided that such things were better left unsaid.

IS THAT LINE SAPPY OR WHAT. Oh god, it's such fluff. But some part of me really likes it, otherwise I would've deleted it by now. And I figure that Jaejoong didn't actually say the line makes the moment that much less cheesy. So is it really too sappy, or is it just me overthinking again? :(((

--EDIT: Just to clarify, by Yunho volunteering to be leader, I meant leader of DBSK. In case that was unclear or something.

On a less hysterical note, I'm also thinking of replacing the "didn’t bother to analyze the meaning of Jaejoong’s words" sentence with this:

Yunho felt a little exasperated that he was left to puzzle over yet another one of Jaejoong’s baffling, inexplicable little remarks, but knew deep down that he wouldn’t change any of the older boy’s quirks even if he had the power to.

I like this line better, although I don't know if it fits in as well as the one I'm currently using.

So. Opinions? :DD

EDIT: God, there has GOT to be other epithets I can use other than "older/younger/other boy." But I don't like identifying them by their hair, so....? :(((

Purple Line dance!
HOH MY GOD. THIS DANCE IS AMAZING. LIKE, WORDS CANNOT DO IT JUSTICE. I LOVE IT EVEN MORE THAN THE "O" JUNG.BAN.HAP DANCE, AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT.

Starts off with the gif/video thingie I posted yesterday of the boys doing the Tell Me thing, then goes into a rehearsal of the Purple Line dance afterwards. They're SO in-synch that it's kind of frightening; it's like they're perfectly programmed dance machines or something. *IN AWE*

Seriously, where the HELL is the PV? I THINK MY HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE IF IT ISN'T RELEASED BY THE END OF THE NIGHT.

EDIT: Oh, and congrats to the boys for their #1 on the Oricon Charts! Woohoo, conquer Japan! xDDD

OMG DORKS

I'm really nervous about what the response will be, and whether the people who I most want comments from will read it or not. But thankfully, my first comment was from a girl I met at Kenyon who wrote only sparkling praise, including the sentence, "I think you're really eloquent."

I GUESS I'M NOT A COMPLETE FAILURE AT FIC AFTER ALL. *GLEE* :DD

For the sake of self-pimping, I really like this line: Jaejoong was confusing him and Yunho hated it, hated feeling awkward and helpless and the myriad of other emotions that welled up whenever he was around his beautiful, bizarre friend.

...And this one too: The apartment unit itself was plain in Yunho’s opinion, boring in Jaejoong’s, so the elder of the two preferred to drag his friend to the rooftop instead, where they would watch the sunset and draw made up constellations in the sky once the stars twinkled into sight. OKAY, I'M DONE.

Purple Line PV!!!!!11
So this was released around 1:00 AM Chicago time this morning and I woke up half an hour early just to see it andandandandWHY IS IT ONLY A PREVIEW?? Avex cut it down to under two minutes instead of releasing the whole damn thing (AFTER MAKING ME WAIT FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKSAEAJDFDFPRKO) because they are complete and utter whores. But still! *flail*

Okay, so I was wrong about Min rapping. It was actually Yunho, just in a much higher pitch than what he normally raps in. I was actually rather impressed; I didn't think he was capable of going that high. o_o;

It's actually a little less than what I was hyping it out to be in my mind. The color palette used could stand to be a little less... neon, and you can't even tell that it was filmed in Korea. (Which is something they really should've stressed on, IMO.) But all this can be ignored thanks to one fact alone:


THE DANCING IS SO SEXY. OH GOD, JAEJOONG. I practically salivated all over myself making this gif adjaksdasjsaTHE THINGS I WOULD DO TO THAT MAN. *happily skips off into R-rated Thoughts Land*

...Is it just me or has there been a crapload of DBSK fans cropping up on this site as of late? I've signed around four guestbooks the past week alone just on the basis that they had DBSK icons. It is going to take some getting used to, surfing through the news posts on theO just to randomly see the boys on the icon of someone other than myself or tsubusa. xDDD

Anyway. The first couple days of school have been unexpectedly eventful, but very good. Highlights include my fellow YunJae fan friend beta-ing my work-in-progress fic between passing periods and a convo I had in Lang with another friend:

Classmate dude explaining a self-help book he read: One of the motivational techniques the book talks about is, if you want something badly enough, you post a picture of it on your wall. Then it becomes the center of your universe and you'll be that much more motivated to work towards getting it.
Me: *whispers* ...So logically, if I post pictures of Korean guys on my wall, then one day I will own them?
Tipa: YES. OH MY GOD, YES.

So yeah, overall, fun times. :D

On a more despairing note--I. Want. This. Photobook. It has the boys in glasses!

GLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES. (I swear the whole "glasses fetish for the opposite sex" thing applies to girls just as much as it does guys, it really really does.)

Korean people speaking Engrish.
Humor me; I think I'm trying cram as many posts as I reasonably can before school starts. xDD

1. Heechul of Super Junior speaks to a group of foreigners in Engrish in an attempt to get one of the girl's phone numbers.

2. Clip from the variety show Heroine 6. HyunYoung is made to sing "I'm bringing sexy back" as punishment for losing a game, but the lyric comes out sounding... a little different. Also featuring Tablo and Brian Joo. xD



3. Yoochun's Engrish cyworld entries. Because apparently, he used to write Engrish translations for his posts back in the early days of DBSK. (To be fair, his English wasn't all that bad in some of his posts, but since we're going for humor here, I took one of his less intelligible entries. :P)
