i am human and i need to be loved - just like everybody else does
Yet "Brokeback Mountain" is ultimately not about sex (there is very little of it in the film) but about love: love stumbled into, love thwarted, love held sorrowfully in the heart.
The NY Times published a glowing, even inspired, critique of Ang Lee's soon-to-be-released Brokeback Mountain. The review itself is actually rather impressive. While I find most critic reviews to be useful, they're hardly ever touching. This one, however, is a worthy exception.
As for the film, it certainly seems like the sort of angst-fest movie that I'd watch. ^_~
For those who have an account on IMDb, you can read the review here.
The Brokeback Mountain trailer can be seen here (Quicktime needed).
(Warning: Probably not something you want to see if homosexuality makes you uncomfortable.)
