Wow, human world apples are great. What do they call this? 'Juicy?'
Now that I've seen the first episodes of both Death Note and D.Gray-man, I can safely say both are turning out to be excellent adaptions. (Though I'm still somewhat disappointed that the "skeleton crawling into the priest's mouth" scene was edited in the latter series. That scene was KEWL.)
"Generic J-Rock" opening and ending themes aside, DN has realllllly nice music. Depending on the scene, it's either reminiscent of the music of Escaflowne or Silent Hill, oddly enough. Also, was it just me or did anyone else find Light's DRAMATIC HAND GESTURES!!111 near the end of the episode absolutely hilarious?
With no good transition whatsoever, I'm going to start talking about movies now. :D
I'm seeing The Departed tomorrow, which I'm now totally hyped for. It seems like a lot of fun, at least for violence mongers like me. Two less publicized movies I'm also interested in seeing are The Last King of Scotland and The Queen, the latter of which I may or may not be able to catch at the Chicago International Film Festival this week.
