GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Too many distractions!!!!!!

I've had the intention to work on my paper all freaking day, and nothing has become of it except for ceaseless interruptions and procrastination! I feel like yelling, hitting something, and/or going for a walk.

*deep breath*

Right...back to "work." ¬_¬

Go figure...
I have a major English paper due on Tuesday, which I intend on working on a lot this weekend. Unfortunately for me, I've got hefty assignments from three teachers, including my English teacher, all due Monday. Given my procrastinating nature, this poses a large problem. I've already put off two of the assignments for a day or two, very much preferring to be with Christina and Victoria.

I started on the English work this afternoon at daycare, reading most of the stories we were required to. Now I just need to finish reading them and answer the questions that were assigned too.

I think I might have started on the History assignment, too, actually. Things are looking slightly better now that I'm thinking about them. Heh, I'm not a total failure after all.

But of course you all knew that. :p

Our entire school got their yearbooks today. What's nice about our school is that the price of the yearbook is included in the tuition, so everyone gets one every year. It's very cool. ^_^

I got a few signatures today, and I've got to round out the collection over the next couple of school days. Today was a pretty easy day as far as school goes. Much of the morning was taken up by Mass and then assemblies about class officers.

Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Update!

I dueled John two or three times today, I think. I beat him the first time (or two) and then he finally beat me. He got lucky earlier on and wiped out my hand, which had several good (and crucial) cards in it. So, after the duel I traded him my Dark Necrofear for a few cards of his I wanted. I'm a sharp dealer when it comes to trading cards, and almost every time I trade with John I rip him off. His need is just so much greater than mine. He's a fanatic about cards Yugi uses in the show, and I've got no set goals for assembling cards or anything. More power to me, I guess.

I have a tendency to change my decks as soon as John beats one of them, and so tonight I put together a new Direct Damage deck. I put in one of the new cards I got from John, called Lava Golem. It destroys two of his monsters and does 1000 damage to him every turn. (he starts at 8000 LifePoints, which go down with damage) Unfortunately, Lava Golem is an extremely powerful monster that he can use against me. That's why the deck is also packed with stalling cards; to stop the Lava Golem from getting at me.

End Yu-Gi-Oh Update.

I took the bus home after school today and stayed at Sacred Heart until about 5:30. Like I said, I got some work done while I was waiting for the kids to go outside for daycare. I wound up playing Knockout and holding up well against four other people who played basketball for Sacred Heart's team. I was happy. ^__^ Christina and Victoria gave me some more grief about how I said I wasn't any good. :p

We had Jell-O for snack, and then played some more Knockout with just four of us; Christina, Victoria, me, and Tyler. My hands were somewhat raw by the time I had to leave. But, I had learned that I was pretty good at shooting one-handed layups. Better than fowl foul shots, at least.

Christina and Victoria pleaded on my behalf to my dad. They wanted me to stay longer, he wanted me to leave; same old stuff.

We went to my grandparents' house for a little while, where my dad talked about his job situation with my grandma. I'd explain it to you, but I've got things to do tonight, and I want to get them done while I have the time.

I went home with my dad, who left before my mom did. I browsed the Internet for a while, and then ate dinner. I had two very nice salads, both with cheddar and mozzarella cheese sprinkled over the top and ranch dressing. Both healthy and good. Mmmm....

I may have a job this summer, incidentally. My art teacher, Mrs. Kainz, handed me an advertisement she had found from a Photography company that was looking for someone to number and organize negatives, or something. I plan on looking into it. *nods* It seems much better than other work I've been taking a look at.

So, yes. I need to work on my homework so this weekend can be fully devoted to my paper. It's the last major assignment of the year, and I've only just begun to research it. >_> Typical of me, of course.

Of course, just before I decide to leave, I remember something. I got a library card yesterday, and I may have found a book that will help me with When Humans Are The Enemy this summer. I've been looking for books about medieval tactics and weaponry. I know a bit about the weapons already, but I really don't know a lot about how the fighting worked. That seems to me like it'd be a critical part to my story, as the clones employ primitive weaponry on a large scale.

It's nice to think that I'm actually not giving up on it. It gives me a good feeling inside. : )

Currently listening to: "Delirium Trigger" by Coheed and Cambria.

Good Thing of the Day: I discovered that I'm an average basketball player. Who knew? =/

Bad Thing of the Day: Slowly accumulating workload coupled with my tendency to procrastinate is spelling out disaster.

Look down...
Just in case you might miss the last post.

I just wanted to express my excitement. I watched a trailer for Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie, and it showed Pegasus! Pegasus is back! The psychotic and perfect-mannered villain is back! YAY!

^_____________^

Pegasus is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh character, and he's back! I simply love villains like him.

   I am content, I guess.
Whoo! Contentedness at last!

I had to get up early today so we could pick up Christina and bring her up to St. Bernard's with us. I was ready at about 6:30; about half an hour earlier than normal. As it happened, though, my dad passed by Christina and her mom in their car, and I had to sort of blurt gibberish out to get him from going too far.

"Them-Christina-Left!"

So, my dad drove us (me, my sister, and Christina) to St. Bernard's. I delivered Christina to the Vice Principal's office, where she was introduced to the student she was shadowing. Coincidentally, it was a Sacred Heart Alumni by the name of Karen. So, at least they knew each other to a degree.

Another girl from Christina's class was shadowing today, too. Her name's Melina, and she's the sister of one of my classmates, Nadia. The person she was assigned to left school sick, and so Melina was passed around like a dog on a short leash, until she eventually wound up following Christina and Karen.

I saw them on and off throughout the day, waving and smiling and such. As it turns out, Karen is in the same Off period as me, so I got to talk to Christina and Melina, and duel John. Karen sort of abandoned the two of them at one point, though, and got in a bit of trouble for it. Karen had been hanging out in the nurse's office, which Christina and Melina didn't care to do for half an hour. So, they left to go to the restroom. They had to wait for the middle school kids to pass on their way to lunch, though, and so their trip took a bit longer.

Perhaps me talking to them took up some of that time, too....meh. Karen shouldn't have been their shadow. They had none of the same classes, except Theology, and none of the same interests. The shadowing program is supposed to match up shadows with students with similar interests. They totally screwed up here.

Karen herself asked: "Why are you shadowing me? I'm dumb."

Christina went into Karen's math class, heh. She had learned at the beginning of the school year how to do the problems Karen's class was just now learning how to do. They have Mr. Walker, though, who is not a very good teacher. I think that he's in denial about the fact that his students don't learn anything.

Anyways, my dad showed up after school to pick us up so we didn't have to take the bus. On the way home Christina and I talked about her day and about the school. I think she said that she thought it was better than Sacred Heart, which would be a plus. I'd love to have her there. :D

My dad dropped her and my sister off at Sacred Heart. There was still about a half hour left to the school day, and Christina actually had to go to class, heh. My sister was there to punch in for working the daycare program.

I went home, got changed and did some random stuff online; webcomics, MyOs, and stuff. Then I went back to Sacred Heart for a while.

While we were waiting to go outside, Christina and Victoria did a little prediction game called M.A.S.H. Predicting my future, incidentally.

According to the sheet, I'm going to marry Amanda, a freshman from my fencing team, have 12 kids, and live in Antarctica. I'll have a black tux for my wedding, and Amanda will have an orange dress. I get a "mystery car", pink in color. My house, incidentally, is a green igloo. I'm going to go on honeymoon in Alaska and I'm going to bring my pet dog. Unfortunately, I get struck by lightning and die. Amanda gets a new car and some paper flowers, while one of my son's takes over my job as a greeter at my sister's hotel.

I suppose it could be worse. _^_

When we went outside, we played keep away with a soccer ball. Middle schoolers and me versus everyone else. It got rather violent after a while, with people grabbing and tripping and such. Luckily we went in soon after for snack. After snack we went back outside. Christina and Victoria played a basketball game called Knockout with a few other kids.

I don't like basketball much. Everyone around me always seem so much better than I envision myself, and so I don't play. I was most adamant about it.

The two of them cracked me like an egg. >_>

They got me to play Around the World, a game where you take shots from all around the hoop to try and reach the other side of the hoop. I wound up going the farthest before I had to leave, and I actually made a number of shots that I never would have expected I'd make. The two of them hassled me because I had said I wasn't good. I guess I'm playing something basketball-related tomorrow. :p

After daycare, I went to the library to pick up a book for my English paper due next Tuesday. I decided to read the play "Fools" by Neil Simon, and so I took out a book of his works. I went to Drop-In from there and read the play while watching Sister Act II and eating Chinese food. Then I came home and....yeah. Started typing this, I guess.

Recently, two people have tried to get me into two different kinds of music. David said he'd get me a few Rascal Flatts CDs, and today Raine gave me two copies of CDs by her favorite band. Rascal Flatts plays country sort of stuff, and Raine is into punk rock. Specifically, the band Coheed and Cambria. I've been listening to one of the CDs since I got home, and I am enjoying it. I'm not really paying attention to the lyrics, but the music is good.

Not that I'm any sort of judge when it comes to music, mind. I haven't a clue when quality is concerned. Or genre, for that matter. I'll listen to punk rock just as soon as a classical orchestra or some hick on a banjo.

So, all in all I've had a good day. I got work done on my English paper early, I've got new music to listen to, and I got to hang out with Christina extensively, and then both her and Christina after school. I discovered that I'm average at basketball, and not abysmal, I got a new library card, and John still can't beat me.

I could really go for a drink of something sweet, though. Maybe some iced tea or lemonade.

This Day in History: T.E. Lawrence, known to the world as Lawrence of Arabia, dies as a retired Royal Air Force mechanic living under an assumed name. The legendary war hero, author, and archaeological scholar succumbed to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident six days before. This happened on May 19, 1935.

Good Thing of the Day: Time with the girls again. ^__________^

Bad Thing of the Day: Kevin didn't show up at Drop-In.

EDIT: Sweet, I made it in just before midnight. :p

It's all fun and games....
....until one stupid jerk starts cheating. >:(

I just got back from laser tag a little while ago. I think I mentioned it a little while ago. The graduation party committee (well, mostly my mom) decided to have a laser tag party to raise money for the party. Tons of people said that they were going to go, but would not commit to buying a ticket.

We wound up being $10 short, but everybody who went had fun; except for one person, but he was rightfully disagreeable.

I played eight games tonight, five on my ticket, and three on my mom's. Some were with my high school friends, some with middle school ones, most with both.

I had fun all but maybe one of the games. In the game in question, one of the players on the other team was cheating.

You see, at this particular laser tag facility, the weapons you use must be held near the center in order to fire. You pull the trigger with the other finger. So, basically, you need both hands on your gun to fire. One to hold the handle and pull the trigger, and another to support the gun and cover the little sensor on the side that let's you fire.

Eric (not the Senior I usually hang out with) had taped up the center of his gun so he didn't have to hold it with both hands. While this may not seem like much, it is actually a rather large advantage. He can reach over obstacles and fire without exposing himself; he can fire behind him as he runs away, and he move his weapon much more rapidly.

He didn't see it as a big deal, but he was pretty much alone on that one. Everybody who was on the other team (the one against him) was very bitter, and three of them left. TJ complained to the manager of the place, who had apparently given Eric permission to cheat, since Eric works there.

TJ got three free games out of it, and so did the two other people who had to leave with him. TJ was so disgusted that he left, and as he was their ride, Steve and Brian had to go as well.

What was very nice about tonight is that I had friends from all over coming in to play laser tag. David (Boba Fett) came and played a few games. (I think he did better than me...-_-;;) Kids from my church Youth Group came, several of my St. Bernard's friends came, and Victoria and Christina came from Sacred Heart.

I managed to stay on the average playing level. I.e. 5th out of ten people; 8th out of 16.

And that's with both Christina and Victoria following me around all game, shooting me in the back or cornering me and relentlessly bombarding me so I couldn't do anything. >_>

When it came time to leave, and the place was closing, Victoria's mom hadn't shown up yet to pick her and Christina up. We waited for about ten minutes, while the lights were shutting off in the building and dozens of cars drove by. My mom finally decided to drive them to Sacred Heart, where both their moms were working.

On the way back, my mom drove past Sacred Heart, eliciting a few giggles from the two girls in the back. I hadn't realized what we had passed either until a moment later. So, we turned around and pulled into the school, only to find that neither of them were there. So we drove to Christina's house. That was when my mom got a call on her cell phone (which had been dead, apparently) from my dad. He had been contacted by Victoria's mom, who had driven to the laser tag place to pick them up.

Eventually the whole thing was sorted out. Victoria was left at Christina's house to be picked up shortly by her parents. All was well again.

I came home and took a shower. (It was just a few moments ago, actually. Mid-post I was called downstairs and told to take a shower)

I've got to go to bed now, though. We're driving Christina up to St. Bernard's tomorrow to shadow somebody, so I need to go to bed "early" so I can get up early so we can leave earlier. It's not too much earlier now than I would normally got to bed, unfortunately.

I hope Christina likes St. B's. I think Tyler and Victoria did. They didn't really offer much information when I talked to them about it. =/ They were fortunate enough to come on a day when we had an assembly and shortened periods. The assembly rocked, too. ^__^

I'm torn between sitting with Christina at lunch tomorrow or dueling John. =/ I'm going to try and do both, but the social status of Christina's shadow might shift the odds towards John. We shall have to see, though.

Yes, to bed then.

This Day in History: On the day of Buddha's enlightenment, India detonates a nuclear weapon and breaks the UN Security Council monopoly on nuclear weapons. This occurred on May 18th, 1974.

Good Thing of the Day: Awesome laser tag party with lots of cool people.

Bad Thing of the Day: Eric cheating at laser tag and then blowing it off as no big deal.

Jerk.

Ah, last minute thought. Raine (eighth grader with a crush on me) IM'd me today. We talked about music and her favorite band, which I'd never heard of. She's copying two of their CD's to give to me. The conversation wasn't very long, as I had to leave to got to the laser tag party. Nevertheless, it was nice.

It's about time for another update...
It's getting harder to update during the final stretch of school. Nothing much has been happening; it's like my whole world is holding its breath, waiting for summer. Or at least the next weekend.

I don't even know where I left off, but I don't think anything of any major importance has occurred since then anyway.

Events of major importance fear me....

Or else I just smell......

I've got a laser tag party to go to tomorrow. It's a fundraiser working towards the graduation party for my sister's class at St. B's. I've been reminding people for about a week that it's happening, and that they should go. Plenty of people have said that they would, but nobody has committed to buying a ticket. =\

Hopefully I won't have too much homework tomorrow night. Besides the 7 page English paper I haven't yet started working on. *cough*

My mom offered to pay for the ticket of anyone in my family if their room was clean....

Looks like I'll be paying the $15, then. :p

I'm tired. While the feeling is not unusual, it's one that I rarely have the opportunity to correct. Or the desire to correct, at least.

No, that's not even right. =/

I don't sleep when I'm tired, not because I don't want to sleep, but because I can't make myself do it. I can't bring myself to get ready for bed and just go to bed, unless it's ungodly late at night.

Teenage hormones be damned! >:p

Yu-Gi-Oh Update, in brief.

I beat John twice today with my new Fiend Deck. I had beaten both him and Mark on Saturday, which put me in first place. Beating John today was only an example of me defending my title.

That, and savagely beating down on John's persistent ego.

I also came home and played my new Yu-Gi-Oh game for PC. The A.I. cheats outrageously, but I managed to beat it a couple of times and get some crappy new cards. I started out with a really, really, crappy deck. I've upgraded it now to really, quite, crappy deck. So...yeah.

I've been watching bits and pieces of the Princess Bride since I saw the thread on OB. Particularly the fight scene between Wesley and Inigo. It's just so cool. I'd love to learn the different styles of fencing and how best to use them, as they do in the movie. That would be cool. ~_^

Victoria and Tyler are going to be at St. Bernard's tomorrow, "Shadowing" a student. The Shadowing program at our school pairs up prospective students with students currently enrolled at St. Bernard's, to give them an idea of what a typical day is like. Then, after school, Tyler has to take a Math and a French test, to determine his level in each.

I don't think Victoria needs to do so; she got the highest score of all the people who took the entrance exam. It's pretty much granted that she's smart.

I have to remember, though, Christina is coming up on Wednesday, and we're giving her a ride up. *pounds facts into head* I must must must remember....

Hopefully they'll all like what they see and decide to go there next year. ^__^

And if they don't, well... ;_;

Here's hoping.

This Day in History: Brown vs. The Board of Education strikes down the "separate but equal" US school system on May 16th, 1954.

Good Thing of the Day: School Beating John, again.

Bad Thing of the Day: Homework Still not sleeping as well as I could be.

Ben On: Public Transportation
As suggested by the lovely Miss Mimmi! :D

Last year, I used to take the bus home from school a lot. I haven't been doing it as much this year, but I do take it when the occasion demands. The occasion has been rather insistent lately. My sister crashed one of our cars, the van soaks up gas like a sponge, and the only other thing we have is the rickety old standard.

So, my dad has been driving the van around, since he travels the least of the drivers we have. He's on medical leave from his job, so he's been doing assorted things about the house and running errands.

My mom works at a hospital and a clinic in a different city, though, so she needs the car to get there. My school is only a little bit out of her way, so she usually drives us up. She works several hours longer than we're in school, though, so she can't drive us home.

My dad is usually busy at the time I get out of school, but he doesn't want to drive up to our school with the van anyway. It's just too expensive now with the climbing gas prices.

So, when my sister can't find me a ride home, (she often finds herself one, somehow) I take the bus.

First off, there are two kinds of bus that service my school. There are these white and black ones; old, worn, and with thinly covered seats.

Then there are the new buses. Big, blue, and with plump cushions on every seat. It even has an elevated area in the back where you can sit to feel cool and aloof!

I've been on a blue bus only once. It doesn't make sense; it just doesn't. Two buses come to our school, one going to Groton, where I live, and one going to New London, where half of the school population lives.

Now, who should get the blue bus? The minority, who can comfortably fit in the blue bus? No, of course not. They cram every-freaking-body else into it. The white and black buses have room enough for the New London students, why make us take it? O_O

On a good day, there might be six people taking the bus. Two of them are me and my sister. Two others get off within a mile of the school. The other two get off with my sister and I at Sacred Heart. :p

The buses (both of them) bounce and awful lot. The whole thing feels rather loosely assembled, as if it's built to survive impact with something. Like, the road. ¬_¬

It does get sufficiently cool in the bus, though. There are windows enough to ventilate it well and get a nice breeze flowing through. I'll bet the blue bus has air conditioning. =/

And, another thing about these buses. Exhaust. They exude noxious fumes in nauseating quantities. It's particularly bad to catch a cloud when the bus peals out after dropping someone off. I've had that unpleasant experience.

Taxis I haven't had much experience with. Besides some of them almost hitting me, and blasting their exhaust in my face, I can't say that I come in contact with them much.

I think that exhausts the possibility of this topic. *snigger*

Any other ideas?

This Day in History: The Soviet Union begins to leave Afghanistan on May 15th, 1988 after a costly war with Muslim guerilla fighters supported by the CIA.

Good Thing of the Day: I'm #1 again! And I got some awesome new cards.

Bad Thing of the Day: So far? The heat is sort of a drag.

   Tonight's tally...
Eleven "lol"s, one in her away message, and one "lok".

I evoked that sort of response from someone I've never met before tonight. I got her name, number, general location....

I feel guilty about doing it; I might not have learned so much if I hadn't asked. But it was just...exhiliarating...to be able to subvertly pry this information out of someone.

I intend to talk with her again, to talk about more normal things; less personal. I'd like to make a new friend, but I can't do that if I'm being dishonest about it.

So...yeah. I met someone new tonight in a chat room. Shin made the room, and apparently someone had made a chat with the same name. The two merged, and we met three or four people who had been in the other chat. The creator of the chat ejected just about all OB members except me, Azure, and Petey. We managed to keep a discussion going and eventually scared them out of the room outlasted them.

One of them contacted me before she left the chat, wondering who I was. I bantered with her for a while; deliberately being vague and evading her questions. Then the idea came to learn about her. It turned into a sort of game. I subtly questioned her, informing other OB members of what I managed to get.

It was an interesting evening. Heh. Azure couldn't believe some of the stuff I was getting, and that I was getting it at all.

*blows raspberry at Azure*

Charm, baby.

Charm.

   Busy, busy, busy....
Aye, I've done a lot of things in the past few days. I'll sum it up, as usual.

Saturday afternoon I went with the cast and crew of Godspell to Pagoda's, a nice little Chinese restaurant not too far from the school. Unfortunately, due to poor planning and The Majew backing out at the last minute, we did not have enough cars to transport the people we needed to.

Or did we?

The back of one of the cars was filled to the brim with lacrosse equipment and a couple of blankets. Being the trooper that I am, I assured the driver that I could manage to fit in. After adjusting a few things, I managed to seat myself on top of the lacrosse equipment by folding almost in half. I leaned to the left so that he could close the door behind me, and then pulled a blanket over myself so as to not be seen.

Can you picture that? A policeman driving down the road looks over to see a kid scrunched up in the backseat of a car without a seatbelt. >_> Very bad.

I remember commenting on what it seemed like in that position.

"I feel like an illegal immigrant."

We reached Pagoda's at about the same time, and then Eric carried out our premeditated plan. "Hey, we forgot Ben!" he exclaimed. He opened the window to the back door and then opened the door. I sort of rolled out of the back of the car, artfully falling to the ground. Everybody laughed and was very surprised. They all thought it was great. ^___^

So, we had lunch at Pagoda's, and then headed over to the mall for a little while before the play. Eric and Jeff bought two cheap lightsabers at the dollar store, and had a mock battle outside of it. That is, until somebody called the cops on us. >_>; We...um...ran away right about then.

So, we went to school and prepared for the play. Then, of course the play was performed and I was once again touched by the music and laughed at the antics. I am really going to get a CD of Godspell music. It's just great. I keep playing over the parts of the songs that I know. That, unfortunately, is not much.

After Godspell I went to the cast party. I spent the night and was driven to Sacred Heart the following day by my friend Steve. I put in several hours at the Mother's Day Breakfast and went to Mass. Then I helped out with foodstuffs for a Boy Scout's Order of the Eagle Ceremony. My dad was doing most oft he cooking, and he appreciated all the help he could get. He was paid significantly more than he expected (I expect that he volunteered for the service, as he often does) and so I got $20 for all of my help. Not too shabby. =/

Monday...yesterday....

I didn't get to stay at Sacred Heart for very long after school, since my dad wanted me to finish my homework before I could visit with my friends. That policy is, I think, still in effect.

By the time I had finished my work, though, it was past the end of daycare, which meant that there was no point in going back down there. I had my last Confirmation meeting last night, though. I am finally almost finished with these silly people. I only have one little contrived ceremony to go through on Sunday, and then I can forget about the experience forever. >_>

I am thankful for the class, though, since it gave me time to visit with Christina and Victoria. I was walking across the parking lot to wait for my ride when I heard my name called. I looked around and, not seeing anybody, kept going. Then I heard my name again, louder this time. I looked over and saw Christina and Victoria coming out from behind a car.

So, I talked with them for a little while until my dad came to pick me up. We drove around the school to leave, only to find that they had run through the school to wave goodbye from the other side. My dad drove back around to the front, where they asked him: "What are you doing?"

"Driving back around." he said. Then he started to drive again, but stopped after a few seconds. The two girls has already run inside, so my dad put the van in reverse and turned us around, heading back the other way. We drove away, and I could hear their good-natured cries of protest at being tricked.

Today was a productive day at school, and one that I could stand. !O_O! I had History first period. We spent our time going over the test we took yesterday, which many people did poorly on. The questions were examples of what we'd see on an AP test, which explains the abject confusion.

French followed history, as it usually does. I took the test on Cyrano de Bergerac and finished in only a few minutes. My haste was costly, I guess. I saw my paper on the way out, and there were a couple red marks on the page. Hopefully the essay I wrote last night will help.

During Off I wandered around the school looking for Eric. I found him in the cafeteria, of all places. He's generally wherever a computer is, but instead today he was busily writing his own play. He told me about it, and I told him about the new Decks I had built for Yu-Gi-Oh. He shook his head in disbelief at me. He thought my methods were simply unfair to whoever was my opponent. He didn't think they stood much chance at winning.

Chemistry was nice, since I discovered what exactly I was supposed to be doing. We're working with limiting reagents, and the concept was kind of lost on me the other day when I was zombified by lack of sleep.

In Theology we continued our discussion on Capital Punishment. We have a test on the chapter coming up soon, as well as a quote test on the Gospel of John coming up before the end of the quarter.

Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Update!

I dueled John once today. We had time enough for several duels, but we were too closely matched in this one. It was his Yugi-themed deck versus my new "Draw the entire deck and kill them with one move" deck. My deck doesn't live up to its name unless I pull off a rather specific three card combo that I have yet to accomplish. It still works rather well, though.

We went back and forth for many, many turns. I was nearing the bottom of my deck at the end of the duel. I had maybe 6 cards left to John's 10. He was down to 200 LifePoints and I was at 2600. it had been 2600 to 1700, until I got a Direct Attack in that brought him down to 200. I thought I had the game won when I revived his Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the Graveyard, but he trapped it in a Spellbinding Circle. I then tried to attack with an extremely weak monster card for game, but he used Mirror Force and destroyed both of the monsters I had. The bell rang and our duel remained unfinished. We both looked at our next few cards and worked out what probably would have happened. Either way I would have won, it seems. But still, we counted it as a Draw.

End Yu-Gi-Oh Update.

In Photography our whole class went outside on a shoot to experiment with "pulling" the film. By using a high speed film on a lower speed setting, apparently we can accomplish something with the prints. It eventually got to the point where my teacher had to threaten to hand out zeros for the class period before people got serious about taking the pictures. A great deal of socializing was going on, and it frustrated her. I, fortunately, got a picture in before class ended. :p

Algebra II was last today. Again I was surprised about how much more I understood when I wasn't in a comatose state. I relearned what I was supposed to know, and by the end of the class I had Mr. Pukstas referring to me as "one of the better students."

I took the bus home after school today. My sister got a ride from another Senior in her class. I got to Sacred Heart and read some of the paper as I waited for school to let out. When the bell rang, I got to see Victoria briefly, and Christina even slighter than Victoria. It appeared to me that they both were leaving, and so I left to go home.

I went to get my haircut first, though. It was very warm out today, and having long hair doesn't help. I came home and have been toiling away at this hot laptop replying to RPGs and PMs like you wouldn't believe. I've had a busy afternoon of writing. And I've got a busy evening of homework to get to as well. ~_^

My fingers are tired, and I'm feeling warm and sticky. I think it's time I get off my butt and do something else for a little while. See you again soon. ^___^

There's an old Japanese saying,

"There is only half a pilgrimage without visiting the girls."
