Cue the maniacal laughter!
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My brother moved out today to stay with my aunt for a while. He brought all of his stuff with him, including his computer.
Now, his computer had an internet adapter that wouldn't work with my aunt's computer. So, my dad sort of tossed it into my lap as I was reading a little while ago.
"Oh, thanks." I said rather nonchalantly.
He stepped out of the room and I stood up. Using all of the willpower I possess, I slowly walked myself over to the stairs leading to my room.
ZOOM!
Up the stairs I went, ignoring the fact that the light was off and I could potentially hurt myself. I leapt over the laundry in my doorway and over to my desk. I threw some folded laundry off of my chair and onto my bed. I cleared space on my desk, knocking over several stacks of Yu-Gi-Oh cards to make room.
I kicked things out of the way so that I could position my chair in front of the desk, then I pushed the power button on my computer. I waited impatiently as it booted up, and then quickly typed in my password to log me in to Windows. I had plugged in the adapter prior to turning the computer on, and the computer had already picked up on it. I clicked on the "Install New Hardware" button and began my journery towards reconnection.
It took me about half an hour of frantic tinkering and tomfoolery in the system, but I eventually got it up and running!
YAY! WAZOO! HURRAY!
^__________^
But now, I really need to get some more sleep. >_>'
I'm so glad to be back on my laptop. Procrastination can be taken to the upper levels once again! :p

Doot doot dee doot!
Oy, I've been busy. I'm going to gloss over some things so I can get to all of the questions. ^__^
I went to a Bowling party Friday night with the fencing team. My shots varied a lot. I got anywhere from a strike to gutter balls on multiple occasions each. Then I would randomly get some sort of spare. :p If could just get my feet in the right spot, and think "left." then the ball would go in the center, which was usually good.
I got home at 1:00 something Saturday morning, took my medication, and went to bed.
This morning I got up at about 10:00 and promptly asked my mom about going to Toys 'R' Us for the Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist League. She didn’t want to drive me, and she declared the day a cleaning day. After cleaning up a bit around the kitchen, I broached the subject to my dad. He didn't mind taking me over, which was a huge relief to me.
I met up with Mark and John for the last half hour of the League, pretty much just checking out what cards people had and watching them duel. There wasn't room enough for me to play someone, and I hadn't brought my cards to trade. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself.
I bought a Dark Crisis booster pack and managed to pull a card I've been wanting for a while: Contract With Exodia I'm slowly obtaining the pieces of Exodia, which would allow me to actually make use of this card. With the five pieces of Exodia, and this card to summon Exodia Necross, I would be pretty hard to beat. :D
I went home and cleaned some more in the kitchen, and then I actually got work done in my room! O_O The floor is visible over by the wall, and the laundry has all been put away or sent away. It's a miracle!
Having tidied up my room, I was allowed to go to Eric's party last night. I got there at 9-ish. We watched South Park for a little while, and then popped in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There was some scary stuff in that movie, let me tell you. o.o'
Next, we watched another movie. I don't remember what it was called, but it had a guy with a chainsaw for a hand, and he went back in time to fight forces of darkness, or something. It was funny, and weird.
Just about everybody had fallen asleep by then, so Matt and I played Soul Caliber II on my Gamecube. I beat him pretty badly for the first few matches, until he grew accustomed to the game. Then he wound up overshadowing me in victories, 26 to 42, or something. In my defense, the handicap was on, against me. He had about 50% more life than I did.
We decided t stop, and we both got about two hours of sleep. When everybody got up, we watched Office Space for a little while, before going outside and grilling some cheeseburgers for lunch.
I ate lunch, and then eventually got a ride home from Eric's parents. I dropped my stuff of and slumped into the chair by the computer. Nobody was home; the computer was mine! Being that nobody was home was the only way I had significantly enough time to write this up.
Okay, I think I've covered most of everything that's happened in the past few days.
To the questions!
Mimmi's Questions.
1) Someone gives you a book with a very dirty story in it and runs off as an authority person comes along and asks about the book you're holding.... what do you do ?
My reaction would depend on the authority person. I'd probably put on a baffled face and glance after my fleeing friend, then turn back to the authority figure. "He said to give this to you."
2) Are you a Casanova in disguise ?
More of a hopeless quiet romantic, I guess.
3) When you're asked 'paper or plastic' how do you answer ?
Nobody ever asks me that. ._.
But I would respond 'plastic' if they ever cared to notice me! >:/
4) How about we end this with a hug ? ^_^
Yay! *hug*
Shinmaru's Questions
1) What is your favorite "quotable quote"?
Eh....that's a real tough one. -_-;; Here's one that I coveted for a little while, though:
"I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it."
2) Is there one thing that you would love to steal above anything else?
A scanner would be very cool to have...
3) Does Chat Ben have unlimited stealing powers?
We haven't found a limit just yet. =/
4) Why do you want to hurt us so with TehSillyCircus?! Why?!
It amuses me. :p And I'm the only one who can still access the original, I think. I just feel cool because of that.
5) If you could make a goofy, B-movie ala Angry Beavers, what would you movie be called and what would it be about?
When Bens Attack!
The movie would be about my many alter-egos. They've split from my body and have taken on their own bodies. Dag, Norb, and their friends are the last of the resistance on Earth. ChatBen has stolen most of the earth, and the rest is ravaged by the other Bens, except for the two Gamer Bens, who play games instead.
It would be an epic film, culminating with Stump sacrificing himself to destroy Psycho Ben just before the end of the world; which everybody somehow survives.
(I'm content with those spur-of-the-moment answers. :p)
More of Mimmi's. ^_^
5) Unless you want more questions >:D ?
Always. ^_______^
6) If you answered yes, what were you hoping to get as a question ? If no, will you still answer any questions I add after this one ? :p
Maybe something like: "Can I visit your site hundreds of times a day? (If you say yes, I will!)"
7) Say you held the power to shape a cloud, what would you transform it into (what would you make it look like) ?
It depends on what mood I was in. If I was bored, I'd probably make it a swirling vortex of doom. If I were in a good, content mood, I'd probably make it into a rose.
8) Should I ever feel like asking to see a picture of you, would you let me ?
You can always ask, but that doesn't mean I'll show one to you.
I would be most happy to show you all a picture of myself, but I don't have a scanner. :(
9) Pretend for a second that I'm your age and we're in the same class. You pass a note to me. What does it say ?
"I'll meet you after school."
^_^
10) Have I asked enough questions now ?
I love answering questions. If you want to ask anymore, just leave them in the comment space. :D
That goes for everyone else, too. ^_^
Any questions about my life outside of OB and MyO are fair game, too.
I think I'll rest now. I haven't slept a lot this weekend. :)

Say what?
School today was the norm, besides starting a movie in French. We're watching Cyrano De Bergerac. The main character, Cyrano, is a low-level nobleman with a hot temper and a very large nose. The movie starts out with Cyrano threatening an actor. He had told the actor to quit the stage for several months, or else provoke him.
The actor was indeed onstage, and so Cyrano trumped down a fight of steps to confront the actor on the stage. He scares off the actor, and another, higher born noble tries to insult him for interrupting the play.
"Your nose, sir, is big." he says. "Very big."
He apparently hopes to shame Cyrano. Cyrano instead comes back and lists almost every possible insult imaginable that incorporates a large nose, totally making a fool of the nobleman. Good stuff, heh.
I got a detention today. -_-;; I had gone up to my History teacher's desk to get back a test. He squinted at me and asked, "Did you shave today?"
Honesty is the best policy, I figured. "No."
He pulled out his detention slips, filled one out, and sent me to the Vice Principal's office. Apparently I wasn't clean-shaven. :p
So, I was given a disposable razor and a small canister of shaving cream and sent off to shave in the bathroom. I got out of a good portion of my history class, including a quiz. ~_^ Not so bad after all.
And, I put in my order for my class ring. I'm getting a silver one with a red stone set in it with my initials and graduation year. Being the money-conscious person that I am, I chose the ring for its price. I think it was $75.95 or something. My parents said they would pay the $70 down payment for whatever ring I got, so this worked out fairly well for me. ~_^
Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Update!
I faced John today. Matt is #1, so we were facing off for second place and the chance to duel Matt. He didn't stand a chance. :p He never does anymore, not against any of my Beatdown Decks.
So, I'm #2 and I have a chance to face Matt tomorrow for my #1 spot. It will be mine once again!
After school, there was no Godspell work to be done, so my sister got us a ride home with one of her friends. We were driven to Sacred Heart, where I checked out the book fair in the library and wandered aimlessly.
Now, here's why I wrote that title and chose that emoticon.
When school got out, Victoria informed me that she and Christina had something to show me. The two of them took something from Christina's locker, handed it to me and ran away, giggling.
It was a sheet of paper, with a large heart on it and the words: "RAINE + BEN Forever and ever" beneath the heart.
Raine is another eighth grade girl at Sacred Heart in Victoria and Christina's class. She just started going to Sacred Heart this year, and I think I might have talked to her maybe once or twice, indirectly. I'm only at Sacred Heart in the last few minutes of the school day and then after school. She's rarely after school and I don't go in the eighth grade hallway. Where she'd even see much of me is a mystery.
So, needless to say I was a bit surprised. Nothing like this has ever happened to me; nobody has ever told me that they liked me or had a crush on me. I don't really know how to react. :p
Then again, I don't really have any evidence that this is true at all. This could be some sort of hoax concocted by Victoria and/or Christina. I can't be sure that it is, or that it isn't. So, I'm just going to deal with things as they come. I believe in myself.
*maintains straight face for about three seconds*
_^_ Oy....I've no idea what to do, or if anything should be done.
*shakes head and moves on*
Mimmi's Questions! Yay!
1) Why is it that everytime you go away, I miss 2 posts ? ;_;
I'm not sure I understand the question. =/ When I go away, I don't post for two or more days, as I'm away during that time.
Or maybe it's because when I come back, you've grown used to me not being here and so you don't realize when I've posted. It's hard to know when I've updated, since I usually do it late at night.
2) Is there anything you would never ever steal from someone (like... a bra, or dental floss) ?
Scruples are for amateurs. :p
3) With what song would you serenade a girl ?
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You never know dear, how much I love you, so don't you take my sunshine away."
_^_ Well, maybe. I can't picture myself singing to a girl.
Another song I've always liked for this sort of thing is "Back at One," by Mark Wills.
Link to the lyrics.
4) Could you steal Boba's dog for me ? (I wants it ! Hrm *cough*)
I can certainly try. Just as soon as I get invited to his new house. =/
5) If you could rent a cinema for one night, what/which movie(s) would you screen and who'd be invited ?
I'd play the Lord of the Rings movies, the Matrix movies, something with Tommy Lee Jones, and probably a bunch of good movies that I haven't yet seen, like The Last Samurai, Kill Bill, Volumes 1 and 2, and then some good comedies.
I'd invite all of my friends of course, no matter where they might be or if we'd met before in person. That means all of you! *points*
And maybe a movie critic, so we can poke at things in the movies together. :p
More questions! I'm having so much fun with these. ^__________^
I'd better post this before it turns to midnight and it counts as tomorrow's post....
EDIT: Too late, I see. :p

The Inverse of The One
As promised, the odd Matrix-y thing I wrote.
"Okay, the inverse of two is one over two. Can anybody tell me the inverse of three?"
"One over three?"
"Correct. Now, what is the inverse of, say.....five hundred and ninety-nine?"
"One over five hundred and ninety-nine."
"You see how easy these are? Now, try this one. What is the inverse of one?"
"Well, wouldn't it be......one?"
Neo is The One.
Smith is Neo's opposite, or inverse.
The inverse of one is one.
Smith is The One.
Funny how it (almost) works out, isn't it?
So, yeah. That's it. Just a random little thought.
Now, to Boba Fett's questions!
#1 Why don’t you change the color scheme around here?
#1. One reason is I'm afraid that I'd screw up horribly and not be able to fix what I'd done. I don't really know what I'm doing, and I don't really know what to change it to. :p
#2 What do you want to be when you grow up?
#2. *sings* "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys 'R' Us kid!"
I'm not entirely sure. I'd love to be able to do something that involves writing, but I don't know whether I'd be up to it or not. Recently I've been slacking on writing; none of my classes really encourage it like they used to.
Realistically, I think it'd be something to do with mathematics. I'm good at math and I enjoy it. Maybe I can be a mathematician and write about my adventures in the world of number theorists.
#3 What are you thinking of majoring in, and have you started looking at colleges yet? If so, what are your thoughts on the schools you're looking at? If not, why not?
#3. I'm thinking of majoring in Math of some kind, since I just seem to be gifted in that area. If there's some sort of religious major I think I might be attracted towards that. I have no intentions (well, maybe a few) of pursuing a religious vocation, but the Church has always interested me for some reason. Theology always leaves me with questions, and I'd like to have them answered.
Similarly, Philosophy may have a place somewhere.
I have no idea where I'd like to go to college. I've got two more years of high school to get through, I'll worry about colleges when I absolutely have to. I'm a terrible procrastinator, to boot.
I've often thought about where, geographically, I'd go to college. I'd like to stay near home, where my family and friends are, and will be. But then, I've also had thoughts about doing something crazy; going to the same college as someone from OB. I mean, someone I met at OB, not someone like you, Dave. I knew you before. :p
I'll just have to see when the time comes, I guess. ^_^ Thanks for the questions. I'm eager to answer more.

BOBA'S BACK!
Yay! David's back! Maybe now my ranking will go somewhere other than down. :p
Right, so. Where did I leave off? *goes to check*
Ah, yes. Working on the stage for "Godspell." Yesterday I mostly watched and held things while other people used power tools on them. Nobody trusted me with any of the power tools. _^_
My dad picked me up at 4-ish and we went home. Shortly after we got home, my sister called the house from her cell phone. Her car had slipped on the wet roads and she had gotten into an accident. My parents quickly went to the scene, leaving me with my younger brother and sister.
Thankfully, my sister wasn't hurt. She was a bit freaked out, but that's it. The car had slipped on a turn and spun out, eventually running into a guard rail.
It was kind of convenient timing, though. While my parents were going to get her and settling things with the police, I was getting later and later to Confirmation class. Which I still have....after being Confirmed. :/
As it turns out, I didn't miss all that much. We watched a movie the whole time, "October Sky." I've seen the movie before, but it was nevertheless a welcome break from actual class.
I left as soon as the clock struck 8:30, even though our teachers invited us to stay for another fifteen minutes or so to finish the movie. Um...no thank you...I'll just go home now.....
I got a nice surprise for leaving when I did. Victoria and her mom were just passing the building where my class is, so I got to talk to her for a brief moment. I told her why I wasn't at Sacred Heart yesterday and said that I wouldn't be today. That's what is unfortunate about working on the stage; I don't get to go to Sacred Heart after school and be with Christina and Victoria. *sniff* ;-;
I went home and typed up what I could on MyO. Then I went to bed.
Well, actually, I thought about writing something else for the Reanimatrix thread. After several failed attempts, I just settled for a bizarre formula-story-idea-thing. I will post it here soon. I just have to retrieve it from my laptop.
(Grr....I want my Internet connection back. >_<)
Today
School was...school. Let's just put it that way.
Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Update!
I was #1, as was usual. Then Matt and John insisted on a three-way duel today. I had built a new Deck just for fun, and because neither of them could beat my other one. :p
They ganged up on me and wiped me out, unfortunately. I put up a good fight, though; I had them in a position where they could only attack each other. It didn't last nearly long enough, though. Matt beat John after I was out, and he became #1. That kind of stinks, because Matt and I almost never have the same lunch. I have to wait until John beats him and then I beat John. Meh...I'll get it back soon enough.
Hopefully I can go to the Duelist League this Saturday at Toys R Us. I may be able to trade away some of the rarer cards that I have and don't want. I've assembled all of my rarest ones in preparation to trade. I've far too many rare cards that I never use. I'd like to get some cards I can use.
After school I stayed after to help with Godspell again. Today I decided to stay for a shorter time so I might be able to get to Sacred Heart when I was done. I painted several walls for the set and then headed outside to wait for my dad, who said he'd be there at 3:15.
Roughly 4:10, and he finally arrives. I'd called him a couple of times to see why he was late, without answers. So much for Sacred Heart. u-u
So, I came home. I rebuilt my deck again so that it might actually work, and hopped on the computer. And....I've been here ever since. :p
Somebody ask me questions, maybe then I'll have something more interesting to say. ^_^;;
Au revoir mes amis.

Cue a squeaky fanfare!
Whee, I'm back!
Vermont was a nice chance to get away. It was much like I expected; nothing really to do except hang around the condo. I got a good deal of reading done, though, and progressed further in my Soul Calibur II game for Gamecube.
So, the weekend isn't really worth mentioning. I got more prescriptions on Friday to hopefully cure me of this long-standing disease. I've got pills to take twice a day, an inhaler to use twice a day, and then a different inhaler to use randomly throughout the day.
Not to mention the Advil I take to abate the pain in my chest.
(Isn't it kind of pointless to say "Not to mention" and then say what you weren't going to mention after it? Puzzling...)
I've paid off my whopping debt to my parents finally. I owed them somewhere around $200 for helping me pay for my laptop. After I was Confirmed, I got a good chunk of "congratulations" money which I used to pay back the debt. A few babysitting jobs later granted me some spending money. ^___^ I dislike being in debt, but I like being penniless even more.
After we got home from Vermont on Sunday night, I got straight to the History homework I had put off. It took me until 11-something to get it done.
Not that it was hard; it wasn't, really. I just could not sit and focus. Whenever I sat and tried to start working on it, I'd find something else to do. I think my problem goes beyond simple procrastination. I simply cannot do my work until it absolutely has to be done.
I don't like it. Not one bit.
I have an English paper due May 25th. I pray that I can somehow get that done. -_-;;
Going to school for te first time in nine days was a little weird, but I soon got back into the swing of things.
One of my classmates matted one of my pictures for me in Photography today. She didn't mind, so long as she had someone to talk to while she did it.
In Algebra II we had a review of everything we've done so far this Semester, in preparation for the exam in June. Basically note-taking.
In English we went over our plans for the next few days and then read a story about two fisherman who are killed by Prussian soldiers. If I can remember the title or author, I'll let you know; it was certainly an interesting read.
In History I turned in my homework, and found out that I had forgotten to fill in a map to turn in. I have yet to do that, still. :p Then we took notes. Yay.
After History I had lunch. I sat with Eric and some other Seniors. I stole a couple of fries and listened as they made plans to destroy my sister. (Long, long story...) I managed to snatch fifty cents off of one of them during the discussions. ^_____^ I love being devious.
In French we discussed the history of the French monarchy, which we've been doing for some time now.
During Off I found twenty eight cents in the cafeteria, scattered around the floor. Scrounging can be profitable sometimes. ^___^
Then I went to the computer lab and played games. :p
Next was chemistry. We've become stoichiometry. *snort* Easy, easy stuff.
After school I stayed after to work on the scenery for our upcoming play "Godspell."
Ack, I've got to go before I can finish. :p I'll try to get on later, probably tomorrow, and I'll fill you all in.
Thank you so much for visiting. ^______^

Going to Vermont!
I'm going up to Vermont with my family, sans my elder siblings. My grandparents own a timeshare up there, so we'll be staying free of charge, or it will cost not nearly what it normally would.
We get to stay in a fancy hotel with a heated pool. ^__^
What's neat about the pool is that it's heated and outdoors, so I've been able to swim while it's snowing. :D Very cool. I've also frozen my hair on numerous occasions. ^____________^
I don't think it will get cold enough to do that, though. I really don't kno what we'll be doing there, apart from swimming in the pool. My dad mentioned the possibility of my younger brother and sister skiing, but....
What am I to do? :p
We'll be there until Sunday evening, or maybe even Sunday night.
My dad is scrambling around frantically trying to get things ready to go. He'd kill me if he saw me on the computer...
...again. *cough* O:-)
*sigh* So, I'm going to Vermont to do...nothing, really. I hope you all have a good time. =/
See you all later.
P.S. I'm feeling even better than before! ^_____^
P.P.S. I'm still sick, though. :p

What is Ben up to today?
Already done.
Woken up early.
Gone to Doctor's Office.
Was weighed.
Determined that he needs to start walking again. -_-;;
Was examined, and then hooked up to a breathing pump. Pump was fitted with a stronger dose of the same medicine he's been using.
Gotten slightly light-headed from inhalant.
Went to the hospital to visit mommy. ^___^
Went home.
Talked to Mark on the phone for a while. (Uber-cool Yu-Gi-Oh talk.)
Ate lunch.
Played Halo on the computer for a while.
Posted in various RPGs.
Went through a couple MyO's.
Projected Schedule:
Go to the hospital again to get X-Rayed. O.o
Get results soon after and call up the doctor I saw this morning. Discuss what the heck is wrong with me.
Go to the bank to deposit checks from Confirmation(?)
Go to Sacred Heart to get good Yu-Gi-Oh cards from a little kid(?)
Go home and pack.
Go to Vermont tomorrow.
Details to come, as I've got to go.

*clears throat*
I'm feeling a bit better today. I got to bed rather late last night. I stayed up and played Yu-Gi-Oh: Falsebound Kingdom until 2-ish in the morning. It seems that my illness is particularly active whenever I try and sleep. I cough more and my chest hurts even more, because I'm lying down on it.
I think I eventually went down to the couch to sleep. I could prop myself up slightly on the cough and that seemed to help. My inhaler certainly didn't. =/
I used my inhaler once this morning, and then played several hours of Yu-Gi-Oh: F.K. I got much farther in the Kaiba campaign than I ever could have imagined doing in the Yugi one. It just goes to show that evil is better than good, I guess. :p
When the time came to use my inhaler again, I felt fine. I saw no reason to. I wasn't coughing all that much, and the coughs themselves weren't that bad. Then I had a coughing fit. I used the inhaler.
I found no peace for the rest of the afternoon. Cough after cough after cough; it was awful. I decided not to use my inhaler again for a while to see what would happen. I took some Advil to abate the pain that had once again welled up in my chest.
Here I am, hours since the last time I used my inhaler. I feel better than I had this afternoon, perhaps even this morning. My runny nose is tolerable and I haven't coughed since I got on the computer.
Enough about that, though. I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about my illness.
No pun....joke...irony...thing intended there. -_-;;
I played Halo for PC for another portion of the day. I don't know what it is, butt here's something really satisfying about smacking aliens with a rocket launcher. Not shooting them with it; that'd be overkill. Just walking up to them and bashing them in the head with the huge piece of weaponry. Irony. Fun. Yeah....
What I also like doing is using the regular pistol. I bash one guy in the head with the butt of it, the gun flips around into the correct position, and you fire, all in one smooth motion. It's good for taking out several weaker enemies in quick succession.
Shield-bearing enemies are fun to play with, too. They hide behind their little laser-shields, shooting you from a little cleft in the side of the shield.
Ben's methods of dispatching shield-bearing enemies.
1. Shoot them right where the cleft is, they'll be shoved sideways, leaving them open.
2. Walk right up to them and bash them with your fist/gun. They never see it coming.
3. Throw a plasma grenade at them, the kind that sticks to shields. ~_-
4. Use something else that's explosive. :D I like explosions. _^_
5. Bombard them until the shield is moved out of place. Not nearly as much fun as some of the other options.
Vehicles in Halo are immense amounts of fun as well. Flying around in the Banshees is fun, but a little too easy. There's nothing really that can harm you when you're way up in the air.
Ghosts are fun, but easy to lose control of. :p
Warthogs would be nicer if some NPC could drive and I could take one of the gunning positions. =/ I'm not a very good driver.
The tank is fun, except there always seems to be an extra Marine tagging along that gets run over.....
Not to mention when I shoot something too close to me and kill the Marines sitting on the side. *cough* ._.
Ever since I beat Prince of Persia last week, I've just about run out of things to do that I haven't done already and still want to do; things to do while I'm sick and stuck in the house.
(Oh shoot, I just coughed. o.o)
I'd like to go to Sacred Heart this week. They have daycare from 7-5 and they allow kids to play Yu-Gi-Oh in their free time, which is often. I'd like to go crush the hopes and dreams of little children play Yu-Gi-Oh with some kids.
Not to mention, if I go down, my younger siblings go down, too. It would be nice to not be responsible for them for a little while. I've been watching them for the past several days, since I'm supposed to stay home.
Who would have thought I could write so much with such an uneventful day to work with?
Not me, certainly. :p
I'll see you all later. Hopefully I continue to feel better. -_-
