Lock-In tonight
Chances are I won't be posting again later, actually. :p My Youth Group's having an overnight Lock-In and I'll be there....overnight. >_>
My chest is almost unbearably painful whenever I cough. I haven't sneezed in a while and I've been deliberately tking shallow breaths. Yawns have been springing up, though, and it kind of sucks to have them. I just still feel awful.
I need to take some sort of pain medication if I'm going to last out the night. ;_;
Ow....
Ow...
Ow...
See you all later.

Spring Break! Um...yay...
Spring Break would be much better if I wasn't sick enough to curdle milk in my mouth...
I still do not feel well, despite the medication I was given and the inhaler that I frequently make use of.
I now have chest pain, which my mom thinks is a result of pulling a muscle there with my severe coughing. It hurts to take deep breaths, cough, and sneeze. Takng deep breaths doesn't happen too often, just when I'm using the inhaler, usually. But the coughing and sneezing has been a big issue since this runny/stuffy nose came into play. I've been using up tissues at a frightful rate and my voice has changed due to the snotty muck.
But, it's spring break, so I can be sick outside of school now.
Whoo boy!
¬_¬
Yeah...not fun.
Post again later, I'm heading to Sacred Heart for about an hour.

Don't take sick.
Yuck. Still sick, and I don't particularly like it. I don't know whether it's the same thing continuing, or if it's because of.....Teh Lots of Test
Teh Lots of Test is a term I just now created to describe a day wherein I have many tests. Such as today. On these days, I am always sick. No if's and's or but's about it; I'm sick on Teh Lots of Test. I am always in some sort of ill stupor whenever I have to go through so many examinations of what I should know.
I had no Off period today, too. That was a bit of a downer. But it sort of gets made up by tomorrow's schedule, where I have Off last period; on the day before vacation.
I had tests in Chemistry, Algebra II, Honors English II, and Honors U.S. History.
I had to use my inhaler in Theology II and Honors French III. :p
I've had a cruddy day in terms of physical feeling. My nose has been running, my throat feels slimy and when I cough it feels like its being torn. I feel befuddled and I've been going through the day in a sick haze. I get kind of goofy when I'm sick, sometimes. Some of my inhibitions are made defunct or something. It makes for great entertainment and the excuse "Meh, I'm sick." makes it so people don't think of me as a total moron.
I think I did well on the Chemistry quiz; I know for a fact that I got one wrong, though. I have a Theology vocab test tomorrow that I'm going to try and study for.
I developed a picture today in Photography. Heh, it was a funny sort of picture. I had found some colored feather on the floor, and so I stuffed several of them into the lock hole on a locker and snapped a picture. It came out very nice, actually. I wish I had a scanner.
I'm unsure as to how I did on the Algebra II test. I was rather mechanic about the whole thing, plugging the numbers into my calculator, rounding them off to the right space, etc. I think I did well, but my teacher frowned a bit as he was looking at my paper, I think. I don't know whether it's because I did very well, or if I did poorly. *shrug* I'll see, I suppose.
The English test was a bit unexpected. There were a lot of quotes in it, and I wasn't entirely sure about some of the people who said them. A lot of them were generic, too, which I thought was rather unfair. There had been several instances where characters heard mysterious music, and then one of the lines went something like this: "Wherefore doth this music come from; the earth or the air?"
The essay wasn't too bad. We were supposed to compare and contrast the two movies we saw on "The Tempest." I had missed a day or so of the movies, but we weren't watching the whole of either one, anyways. I got my point across, and I used a thesis and conclusion. I did the best for the time I was allotted.
Now for the part you've all been waiting for......
Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Update!
On Saturday, John and Mark had played me and my friend Andy at the Duelist League. They played their first few turns systematically destroying Andy's strategy by destroying the key cards to it. Andy gave up and left, leaving me stuck against Mark and John. Now, had they let me take my turn when Andy normally would have, I might have stood a chance. As it was, though, they didn't and they pounded me into the ground. Jerks.
So, John went over Mark's house and beat Mark, taking the #1 title stolen from me in that double duel. I beat John sometime this week and reclaimed the title. *blows a raspberry in John's general direction* I faced Matt today, my friend with all the rare cards, and I defeated him! Ha ha! I'm the champion defending my title. ^__^ John and I started up a duel, but didn't have time enough to finish. He was clearly doomed, though. ;)
After Lunch I took the History test. I had missed this test sometime last week when I was absent, and only now was able to make it up. It was relatively easy. The correct answers tended to be longer than the others and more specific. Either that or the other answers were blatantly false. The essays were easy, but time-consuming. I didn't have enough time to do the extra-credit question.
I was late to French because of the History test, and as soon as I got to French I left to go and use my inhaler. I was coughing pretty frequently and pretty badly, so I thought it would be a good idea. I returned to class and took some notes on Renaissance kings.
After school I went to the library with my twin friend, Matt. I had to copy my other half's Matt's information on the History paper we have to write, due tomorrow. We had been given the materials for research with the instructions, so it won't be too hard. My soul mate Matt laughed when the copier ran out of paper and I stood guard right in front.
Well, actually, I was sitting in a chair. I wouldn't let anybody near it until the librarian returned and I was able to get more paper. She gave me a queer look and asked about my seating arrangement.
"I'm just weird like that."
She gave me another weird look, and I finished my copies. I returned the papers to my long lost brother Matt and caught the bus just in time. It was a new bus, big and blue with comfy seats. Considering it was public transportation, it didn't seem all that bad.
I made it home okay and hopped right on the computer, as is natural. :p
I've got that history paper to do, and my sister wants the computer. I've recently got her hooked on webcomics and Prince of Persia, heh.
See you all later. ^______^
O_O I went to highlight this and put it in a spellcheck-able word processor and accidentally hit Spacebar instead of "C". The whole thing was deleted and I panicked. -_-;; Luckily, I managed to undo it and get back my post. *wipes brow* Phew....

Oh, duh.....
It's my anniversary! Or it will be soon, anyways. I'm still not sure, which is frustrating, but I'm happy nonetheless. ^__^ In a few more hours, I'll have been a member of OB for 3 years. :D
You'd think I'd have more posts. :p
I know that I did have a good chunk of posts before the boards were upgraded and all the original posts were lost. >_> I know I had a littl over the amount required for a custom avatar; I think the requirement was 1500. I might have had 1550-ish or something. Alas, my hard-earned post count was lost. u_u
But, enough with the gloom and such. IT'S MY ANNIVERSARY! YAY! *jumps up and down*
Happy Anniversary to me!
:D

They spelled "Shepherd" wrong.
Shepard of the Sea......yeah....
On this huge banner that my Confirmation classmates made (please note, I was not a part of this project) there was, in big bold letters: "Shepard of the Sea."
Shepherd of the Sea is the Church that about half of our Confirmation class goes to. The banner had the names of our class on it, along with our Confirmation names. In big, bold letters were the names of our two churches: Sacred Heart and "Shepard of the Sea." u_u Silly people.
I was Confirmed tonight, just so you all know. I was anointed with holy chrism and I affirmed my baptismal vows. The priest laid his hands on me and I became a full member of the Catholic Church on earth.
Yay! ^__________^
My grandmother came, my great aunt came, my godparents were with me as I was anointed, and Victoria and Christina came to watch. There was a small reception afterwards, and enough flash photography to make me wish for epilepsy. (You see, if I had epilepsy, I could have a severe convulsive reaction to the flashes, which would cause most people to stop)
People came from all around and handed me cards saying congratulations and the like. I got a handful of kisses and a multitude of handshakes. Many of the cards held money in them, and I made just enough to pay off my debts. -_-;;
I owe my parents for helping me to buy my laptop, and for the ski trip. Something round $235, I think. I'm also babysitting this Saturday, so the money from that should definitely put me past the debt.
Christina and Victoria went out in a torrential downpour to get money from Christina's mom to put in my card, and they made a big deal about it, just to be sure that I appreciated it. Heh, I love those two. ^__^
I went to the doctor's office this afternoon to find out what to do about this cough that I have. I've had it for a little over a week, and it has become rather severe. I've been hacking up phlegm and assorted nasty things, so I decided a check-up was in order.
As it turns out, I have bronchitis. Or at least, that was the doctor's evaluation. She gave me a few pills to take and an inhaler. She prescribed me some medication for the inhaler, which I got this afternoon. Neither noticeably makes a difference in the cough. =/
I've been unable to determine when my actual join date was, because of the robots that guard the OB archives. Fearsome devils they are. *shakes fist at robots*
I don't have school tomorrow, which is a very welcome thing. It will give me a chance both to get some sleep, and to do some of the exorbitant amount of homework I received. Here's the list, at least from what I remember:
Theology II: Find an article that contains suffering, mount it on a piece of paper, and summarize it.
Photography: Another essay about ethics. Woopedy-freaking-doo...
Algebra II: I missed several days of this class, and I've already surpassed everyone. I have a test on Thursday and an assignment to make-up by then.
Honors English II:Test on "The Tempest" on Thursday, and a major paper due on May 25th.
Honors U.S. History: Test to make up, which I'm taking on Thursday. A paper to write, due Friday, and a vocabulary assignment due Monday.
I'm sure there's more than that. :p
And then I still haven't seen The Passion of the Christ yet. Now more than ever I want to go and see it. Last week, a priest handed me a twenty dollar bill and told me to go and see the movie. I was shocked.
I had told him that I hadn't seen the movie because I didn't really have money to spend on movies, and so he turns around and hands me the money, and refuses to take it back when I offer it to him. So, I feel rather obligated.
Oy. I'm tired. I nearly fell asleep in several of my classes today. Perhaps I should get some sleep; enjoy my ability to sleep in. ^__^
There be workin' to do on the morrow...

Post! *cough* *hack *wheeze*
I have a rather sever cough right now. I feel fine, besides being a little tired. Except, I cough every now and then. And the coughs rack my body up and down. One after another after another. I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow. I've been sick for over a week.
On a lighter note, I discovered tha my anniversary is on the 14th, or maybe the 13th. I know that on April 14th, 2001, I was signed on to OB. It may have been earlier, which is why I say it might have been the 13th.
Now that I start to think more about it, though, I start thinking that it was the 13th that I joined OB. That would make it Good Friday, which meant that I had the day off. I know I was at my grandparents' house that weekend...ERGH... >_< I don't remember! I need to talk to Sara, maybe she remembers. Somehow.
Today in school was sort of a daze. I got caught up on most of my work in relatively short time, and I've already passed everyone in French and Algebra II. -_-;;
I beat John today and won back my #1 Duelist title. I had lost in on Saturday at the Duelist League. Marka nd John had teamed up against me and my friend Andy. Andy gave up partway through the duel and left me to fend for myself against John and Mark. That was sort of unfair, since they double-teamed me and stole my title because of it.
Jerks. Serves them right that I got my title back. :p
The internet connection on my laptop still isn't working, so I'm writing this on my dad's the family computer. This computer has seen high demand in recent days, so I'm lucky to have had it for this long.
I played and finished Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time which I think is an excellent, excellent game. I've already gone bac and played several parts over again, I got so much enjoyment out of it. It's full of puzzles and mystery and all sorts of great stuff.
I'm being Confirmed tomorrow night; the Mas starts at 7:00. I'm supposed to be there at 6:00, and I need nice clothes. I honestly can't wait to get it over with finally. We actually have classes in the next few weeks after the sacrament, which I'm a bit hesitant about going to. What are they going to do? Un-confirm me? :p
If it weren't for my manners, I wouldn't have any hesitations about missing the classes. The only reason I have for going to those is that I feel it would be rude not to attend when asked to, and when I have no real reason for not going, besides my distaste.
So, yeah. My 3-year anniversary is tomorrow and Wednesday, until I can figure out which one it is. Send me lots of presents and stuff. :D
And I still want to figure out what happened with the Otaku Awards. More specifically, why I didn't win....
*starts stalking people*

Whoo!
My OB Anniversary is coming up soon. On the day before (or was it two days before?) Easter several years ago, I joined OB under the Username: Ben.
I had gotten the fields confused somehow and put my real name where my public name was supposed to go. So instead of being "Puppetmon" or something, I became the Internet persona "Ben."
I remember the first few people I met wree cynic-042, GinnyLyn, Digimon Maker(Creator?), and nintendo-era, who I think later became defcon5. It's all very hazy in my mind.
I wish Nerdsy was here, he'd know the date better than I. I remember it was the year my sister found a dead chick in one of her eggs....
I'll make it my goal this Easter to find out what the exact date was. ^___^ And I'll let you all know, of course.

Rawr....
That's odd....
I thought for sure that I had won Digipeep of the Year....
Considering the fact that I had double-checked the votes. Twice.
And then again after the results came out.....
What is up, I wonder? >:/
Ben's Tally of the Votes:
Ben: 10
Digital Monster: 7 or 8
Takuya: 1
Leh: 5 or 6
One person put two votes down so I didn't know whether or not to count it. That's why DM and Leh have uncertain amounts.
Regardless...
What.........the.........heck.........?

My dad got me an Internet card in place of the cruddy adapter I had. The problem is, we haven't yet figured out how to get it to work. It may not even be our fault; my dad thinks it's a glitch or something.
Regardless, I'll be without Internet access (except for at school) for a while. So, goodbye for now.

Ahhhh....Saturday....
Saturday, oh Saturday, I hath missed thee. :D
Today has been good so far. Before I talk about yesterday, I'm going to talk about today. You know, chronological order. Today so far pretty much falls into the domain of Yu-Gi-Oh Update, through and through.
Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Report
I got up this morning a little before 8:00. I had thought that the Duelist League thing started at 8:30, and I wanted to be ready. I got dressed, got my stuff together, and then went online to occupy myself until the time came to leave. Neither my sister nor my mom were up, and both were going.
As it turns out, it's a good thing I did. While I was surfing around, I decided to get some information on the League. It actually started at 9:30. :p So, I hung out until about 9:00, before getting my mom up to take my sister and I.
It tooker my mom a long time to solidify plans with my dada, and then she had to get herself ready to go. We didn't get to Toys R Us until 10:00. -_-;; A bunch of kids were already there, trading and dueling. It wasn't an organized tournament like they have at other places; just a place to come and trade and play. I walked around a little bit (there were only two or three tables lined up for our use) checking out cards and watching people duel. As I was looking through the stack of a boy about 8 years old, my friend Mark showed up.
Mark was recently expelled from St. Bernard's, and we used to duel at lunch. Remember? If you don't, search the archives of my Otaku Life. He's mentioned there somewhere.
Anyways, I dueled Mark twice. I beat him both times, although the second time was pretty close. I wasn't getting a lot of monsters, and he had a ton. He managed to get me down from 8000 to 2100 before I finally beat him.
Then I went and talked to a kid, I think his name was Andy. He had a small binder of Ultra and Super Rare cards, and a large binder of regular Rares. He wanted my Don Zaloog, and he let me take 9 cards for it. o.o I didn't use Don Zaloog all that much before, and I had recently been kept it out of my decks. I got several Rare cards that I had wanted for a while.
Cards I got from the first trade:
Butterfly Dagger - Elma: This card has enormous potential to be used for one-turn victories. I had been wanting it for quite a while....
Nimble Momonga: I have two of these already, but they work best with three.
Spirit Reaper: An annoying little card that is very difficult to destroy. Matt used it against me on Friday. -_-
Archfiend Soldier: A powerful, easy to play monster. I like it.
Book of Moon: Makes my opponent's monsters easier to destroy, in most cases.
Spirit Messages: "I", "N", "A", and "L":All I need is Spirit Message F, and then I will possess an instant-win combo. ^_____^
Second trade: My Goblin Attack Force for another set of Rares.
I have three Giant Orcs, which are just about as good as Goblin Attack Force, so it wasn't that bad of a loss.
Cards I got from the second trade:
Coffin Seller: Whenever my opponent's monsters are destroyed, he takes damage.
Pyramid Turtle: A neat little card that helps get Zombies onto the field. It could prove useful.
Hyabusa Knight: This card can attack twice in the same turn. It's not very strong, but if it's powered up, the two attacks can be devastating. I got two copies of this card.
I could have taken more, but I felt guilty. :p
Then I dueled 2 on 2. Me and Andy versus two random kids. They weren't very good, heh. Andy and I had control of the duel at the start. I helped us stay in the game while he drew the five pieces of Exodia, instantly winning the duel for us. The poor kids never stood a chance. Heh heh heh...
I can't wait until next weekend. :D
FRIDAY
I don't remember much of the school day, not that it really matters. I dueled and beat Matt twice at lunch. My Direct Damage slipped right through his monsters and wiped out his LifePoints. Yay!
After school, I took the bus to Sacred Heart. They had a half day of school, as they do every first Friday of the month. Christina, Tyler, Tyler, Paul, Anthony, and Victoria were all there playing cards. So, I *grimace* "hung out" with them for a while.
Later, we went outside and played soccer. I am still better than them somehow, despite the infrequency that I play. They play everyday at recess, I play occasionally when I visit Sacred Heart. And I'm not even in shape. o.O
Well, not as good a shape as I could be. Round is so unflattering. XD
After daycare, I went to work with my dad at the Fish Dinner. The Fish Dinners are put on by the F.A.I.T.H. program at Sacred Heart. The F.A.I.T.H. program help special needs children in the school, by providing them with aids and a few specialized lessons outside of the normal classroom.
My younger brother, Michael, is one of the children F.A.I.T.H. benefits.
So I worked there from about 4:45 to 8-ish. I went home and got to working on my deck and assembling my rarer cards for trading. It was a rather uneventful day.
I may be babysitting tonight for four children. While this is not a walk in the park, I know the four kids and they know me. It should work out, provided that their parents need me. Getting them to bed is the hardest part, but as soon as that is done, it's smooth sailing. :D
I'm very much in need of money at the moment. >_< I owe my parents a little over $200 for my laptop and ski trip payment. I have no steady income yet, so I need to take these odds jobs when they arrive.
I'm babysitting tomorrow night too, for the St. Louises. That should be fun. ^_^ Their son, Tyler, has Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Whenever I go over, we play cards while his brother and sister watch us or TV. I may get some cards from him tomorrow, too. :D
I have a ton of work to do this weekend, unfortunately. I have two essay questions for History, an Act to read in English, and a bunch of Confirmation questions, all due on Monday. The Confirmation questions are due in order for me to be confirmed, which is ridiculous. But, I've come too far to stop caring now. I am to be confirmed on April 13th. And it will happen, gosh darnit. :p
-_- I feel like my weekend is already over.
There's an old Chinese saying,
"If you lose a needle in the grass,..."
"...look for it in the grass."
