Birthday Party! Dun dun dun.....
Ergh...my birthday is coming up. While that is a cause for celebration to most people, mine provokes only one thought: Planning the party.
Whilst I was away from myOtaku I dutifully kept a blog/journal thing in Microsoft Word, for sheer lack of anything else to do and a need to get my thoughts where I could view them.
Verbatim:
Sunday, September 14, 2003
Eh...there's eleven days until my birthday. Yay! I was talking to Christina about it this morning; where it should be, primarily. Sandra and Eugene have moved into Nana and Grandpa's house, so chances are it won't be there. Even if they did let me, it wouldn't really do much good. The basement is too crowded to be of use anymore. So, I'm probably going to do something at Franco's Extreme Laser Tag in Mystic. Good place, that is. I'm still wandering who to invite. Last year's group: Me, Kevin, Tom, Joe, John-Paul, Paul, Tyler, Christina, Victoria. I think that's it...*shrug* I'll obviously be going; whether I really want to or not. There's a silly idea: Not have a party. I could, but there's be several people disappointed about how they couldn't buy me stuff, or just give me money and bask in my presence. Ergh...Negative thinking.
Anywho, back to the list. Kevin I'll probably invite, just because he's extremely flexible, if a little unpredictable. Having a common interest in Yu-Gi-Oh helps to link him to the younger invitees.
Tom I'm debating about. He's a good friend and all, but while he's not stubborn, he's inflexible. He knows that I like ::not saying here::, but still doesn't approve of it and so doesn't really like the younger people I invite. So, verdict undecided. *remembered later* He also knows approximately when my birthday is and will know if I don't invite him. Results of that I don't even want to think about.
Joe. Heh. Joe's always been a catalyst to my parties. While we almost never see each other anymore, I'm sure he'd jump at the chance to come to my party. He's always been great to have around, only he's got sides that I didn't know about. Darned wrestling twisted his mind. But, he doesn't really like the younger invitees, possibly even dislikes them. He would also be certain to bring up the issue of girls at my party. *shrug* He brought it up last year, I said...something...and he didn't mention anything else.
John-Paul. Hmm...that's a toughie. It seems to me that he's changed a great deal, but I think that the alcohol incident shocked him a bit more than others notice. Eh, that last sentence didn't make much sense, did it? I'm just not sure what to think about John-Paul. He seems quieter than me at times, and that's kind of frightening. I think it's because he doesn't really know anybody but Tom, but can't be sure. He's mellowed out quite a bit, though which makes him somewhat compatible to the younger guests. He doesn't ask about them and they fear him. It works out, I guess. I'll probably invite him.
Paul will probably be invited. He's an amusing guy and I see him more often than some of the others. He's invited me to birthday parties two years straight, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately I missed the second one due to a prior babysitting engagement. ;-( I really wanted to go to that. If for no other reason, the various birthday parties provide me with a chance to see ::not saying here:: I figure it's common courtesy; I invite him, he invites me, you know? That's how it's been so far.
Tyler will be invited. No question. He's even more adaptable than Kevin, or so it seems. Small people tend to get along better with others; probably to stay alive. :p He's also just a plain fun guy to have around and seems to be quite...eh...devoted to me, I guess would be the right way to put it. He'll also enjoy the laser tag a bunch.
Christina and Victoria are my only two girl friends that come to mind. Or rather, the only two I'm comfortable with enough to invite to a party. Victoria, if not adaptable, is able to take things in and just laugh at them. Christina seems to be okay when with others of her own age around. I grew quite close to them during my eighth grade year.
While writing this I remembered that I invited Little Man (Ryan) to the party. He was wrestling with Kevin while Joe refereed. *laugh* He kept touching the pole, forcing Kevin to back off. *muffled sound* "Oh! He's touching the pole!" *laugh again* He'll most likely be invited. :D
Brenton was invited last year, I think because of my mom than any other factor. It was pretty funny how he was terrified of John-Paul. lol. He'll probably not be coming this year. We've drifted and Eric would view him as contemptible skater scum. Hmph...
*Possible Invitees This Year*
Well, people who weren't there last year...
Gillian. It'd be nice to have more girls at my party, for the comfort of the few (two) already there, if nothing else. Also, I think that if the party's going to be strictly laser tag, it wouldn't reveal too much about me. She's fairly adaptable, she'd probably say little or nothing about the age of the others. *unpleasant reminder* Drew would probably find out about it...There'd be stuffs to happen...
Eric. The Cap'n of Common Sense. He'll be a required invite this year; especially since it'll be at laser tag. He'll mow through the rest of the people with glee. In relation to the younger ones, he'll probably just laugh.
Steve. Hot senior, oh la la. I'm worried about his reaction to Christina and Victoria. Quite unpredictable, especially when in pimp mode. But, laser tag with Ben Donnel may just be enough to do...something...I guess...Joey would be an add-on to Steve. We'd laugh about the "Shut up, Donnel." comment and discuss our scores.
Tim. He'd probably be okay with the younger set; heh, it's laser tag for Pete's sake. That in itself should be enough to stop any unwanted comments or attentions. We've been getting a little closer together, what with a feudaristdemonarchy to run and all. The Seventy Five Cent Empire will live on!
Matt. Hmm. I guess it'd be all right, if it weren't for the fact that this would be the first out-of-school thing we did together. Ergh. He'll probably be invited, well...maybe. There's something a lot like politics mixed up in this inviting process...
Tom Crowley. I think he'd be a little too *mature* for the younger set, although I could just make jokes with him to keep him in line. Eh...I think he'd be a bit like an uninhibited Joe. He's a probably invite, although Matt and Tom and Tim would probably be attached to it. Darned Birthday-itics.
Luke. Another attachment to the Tim, Tom, Tom, Matt thingy...
J&JFoye. Laser Tag would probably be the only reason; that and they'd miss all the "Ben's party" references which I hope will surface eventually.
Total Speculation
Cartagenas. Enough said.
Pat Murphy. We'll see...
Rich. Eh...
Spaulding, just to frustrate him in the game...
Charlie....hmm....

Theeeeere is a BOMB in Gilead....
Heh, I went to Mass this morning and they played this song. It's actually "There is a balm in Gilead", but me and one of my friends poked fun at it when we were in eighth grade.
Part of the chorus goes something like:
"Theeeere is a balm, in Gilead, that makes the wounded whooooole...."
Our version:
"Theeeeere is a BOMB in Gilead, that makes the wounded whooole bunchapieces..."
*sigh* yup...good times...
Anyway, I've more or less recovered from my soujourn at Six Flags yesterday, physically speaking.
I've updated my fanfic, any and all comments, questions, etc. appreciated.
Eh...what else?
Hmmm....
Bleh, school again tomorrow. I spent my lunch money at Six Flags, too. >.< Oosh...
Well, today's my last day with functonal myotaku for a while, so expect constant updates. Or at least one sometime later...

Six Flags-ness
I am so tired...
I hit all the major rides early today, before lunch and a good hour after a breakfast of Pop-Tarts. Heh, I had no intention of losing anything on any rides.
So, I went on a little Poison Ivy (Batman villain, not the plant) roller coaster to get myself accustomed to the feelings associated with ridings rides again. It was fairly lame, so I went on the Batman: Dark Knight ride. It was in the upper reaches of coolness and g-force. I still needed something to help me adjust, so I went on something called the "Mind Eraser." Oosh...not the best ride...My head was tossed around like it was limp, despite my best efforts to keep it still, or at least, not moving in such a way as to develop a humongous headache.
So then iI went on Superman: Ride of Steel. One of the biggest and arguably best rides in the country, it was cool. As with most rides, there's an initially huge drop, but what's cool about this one is that you go underground, through a mist-filled tunnel. Spiffy.
So, after hitting every other roller coaster there, I went around to some of the minor rides, occasionally meeting people I knew. Although I failed to find the two people I wanted most, my nearly inseperable friends Tyler and Victoria. >.<
The entire park, unfortunately, has uneven ground. Lots of hills and stairs and such. My legs...are...exhausted. Heh.
Another ride of note: "Scream."
A 200 foot free fall. It was quite unlike any other rides I'd been on. They shoot you into the air with, I think, steam pressure. Then, provided the machine works the way I think it does, they release some of the steam so that the machine simply...drops. Then, nearing the bottom, the pressure builds up again, slowing you and bouncing you back up a couple times.
Bleh, I'm tired...

Oh yeah...
Somebody do me a favor and check out my Digimon fanfiction in the Poetry, fan fic, and literature section, it would be much appreciated. I really ought to write my ending to the Digistory first, but...meh...Iit wouldn't feel right without the assistance or approval of the others.

Random Update
Hey, it's an update! Yay! :p
Not that anyone really reads this, heh.
Well, school's started and I've gotten somewhat adjusted to Sophmore year and my new courses. Let me see if I can explain our schedule...
We have 8 periods in total, but only have seven a day.
For example, here's my schedule:
A. Off
B. Chemistry
C. Photography
D. Algebra II (I earned Honors!)
E. Honors English II
F. Honors World History II
G. Honors French III
H. Theology II
On a day A, I wouldn't have my off. On a day B, I'd have C period first and A last. It's a rotating thingy. -_-; Well, I understand it, anyway.
So, school's good so far.
I'm glad it's Friday. Tomorrow I'm going to Six Flags New England for the Pfizer company picnic. Rides, rides, and more rides! Yay! I just hope the weather holds. :p
Ah, another note for school. Each day I'm given $3 for lunch money. Every day I get a grinder, which costs $2.25. Thus, I gain 75 cents a day. I am using the money to build my 75 Cents Empire. Let all tremble in fear.
Muahahahahahahahaha....

Another day in the lfie of me...
Yesterday I went to Chuck E Cheese's. I hadn't been there in years, and to my dismay I found that they had changed their tickets. The several hundred that I had stored up are now worthless. :p
Anyway, I got 20+ tokens from my mom and went in search of something to spend them on. There wasn't anything there that was really appealing to me now that I'm 14. I found a shooter game, though which I ended up spending two dollars worth of extra tokens on. It was pretty good; I'd play it again given the opportunity. It was pretty frusterating when I got to the second to last level and it wouldn't take my token for my continue. >:p
So I left my temporary mark on their high score list and went off to do something else. I ended up playing air hockey with a friend of mine, younger by two years. The air hockey table was pretty bad (the puck kept sticking) but worked well enough for me to score on myself enough times to lose.
Midway through the game, my friend decides to take a slapshot (sp?). He puts the puck in the middle of his side and slams his little thingy into it. I felt a stinging sensation in my right hand. I began to shake it vigorously and hop around in pain.
It was not until a few moments later that I noticed that the finger was bleeding profusely at the base of my nail. :p
And that was the end of that.

Finally got this thing working....
*Marks date in log book* August 20, 2003. Ben gets myOtaku account to work.
I had been online since I awoke, so the invitataion to swim at my grandparents' house was gladly received. So my grandpa drove us down and took the cover off the pool. Me, my brother and sister swam for a while, then I came inside.
My grandparents have dial-up AOL, while at my house we have DSL. Apparently the difference was sufficient enough to allow me to get this up and running. Happy day.
Once I get used to this actually working I'll come up with more suitable things to write. :D
