   Right. So.
Let me just start off by saying that I had a great time at fencing last night. Amanda, Megan, and my coach were all there, and I wound up fencing all of them, too.

With the directions that Amanda gave me, my dad and I were able to find the community center this time. It was hidden back behind a mini-forest of trees, which explains why we could see it from the road.

He dropped me off, and I noticed Amanda and Megan were fencing. So, I walked over and said hello to my coach, who was glad to see me there. I got suited up and stretched out. Amanda was practically hopping up and down she was so glad to see me, and Megan ran away from her opponent for a moment to come over and give me a hug. Amanda insisted that I fence her, even though I hadn't fenced since, about March. So, I did.

^_^;;

My point control wasn't all that good, me having slacked off practicing in the off-season. So, Amanda will now have a lot of nice bruises all over her legs and torso. She said that she'd think of me whenever she wore a bathing suit. All those lovely black and blue marks everywhere. -.-;;

We fenced first to five points, and I beat her. She's been practicing all summer long at this club, and here I come, rusty and uncertain, and beat her 5-3. (I swear it was 5-2, though. =/ )

She was a bit irked, especially when other people at the club started poking fun at her. I came to her rescue a bit, though, and reminded her that I had an extra year's worth of experience. So, I was redeemed ever so slightly.

I got a drink of water, and then coach set me up with a first-year fencer. The scoring was very uncertain, as he kept giving me and him points without mentioning them. I'd be throwing a judgement out, while he'd be mentally logging it. It was...confusing. Several times, though, I swear I hit him, but he denied it. He didn't feel it, so apparently, it never happened. Well, you don't always feel the touches, and I told him so; he ignored me, I think. v_v

Anyways, I beat him as well. I think it was 5-3, again.

I watched Amanda fence out coach; first to ten touches. I noticed the same thing about her as I did when I fenced her. She does not attaclk. I mean, she'll move and react to someone attacking her, but she simply won't move in for an offensive. Coach went easy on her, I think. The end score was 10-6 in favor of my coach.

Shortly thereafter, I fenced my coach. Within the first few seconds of the bout, I had gotten a touch. Coach laughed, and mentioned that he "forgot about [my] speed". I got another five touches in, while he got 1. The score was 6-1, in my favor. Coach then showed me just why I had been getting those touches. Some were legitimately from my speed, he said, but others were given to me as part of a test. He was feeling me out, seeing how I reacted to various moves and the like. He basically knew my every move and reaction, and he exploited it to great effect.

The end score was 10-7. Coach won. =P

Heh, it was great fun, though. I can't wait until Monday night, when the club meets again. :D

After that I sat down against one of the walls and played Hangman with Amanda and Megan for a while. Just before I left, Megan and I fenced rather lazily, not really trying to score touches; just keeping oursevles occupied. My dad showed up outside in the car, so I said goodbye and packed up my fencing stuff. Several sweaty hugs and shouted "goodbye"s later, I was in the car on my way home.

I'd continue on to talk about today, but then no one would bother reading the whole thing. :p

I will update later. I promise.
And if the promise is broken, I will plug each and every person who has signed my Guestbook. So...I'll try very hard not to forget. >_>
