lahfs
So, today. I was up late again last night, as you can see by my previous post. As I mentioned in Shin's comment box, I've fallen into a wicked cycle once again.
I go to bed at some time between 1-3 in the morning, and I've been getting up at noon.

Fortunately, today, my mom got me up to go to the gym. Yay mom! :D
And to add onto the going to the gym, we actually did weight training today, instead of twenty minutes of cardio. It felt like I was accomplishing so much more when I could feel my muscles strain. Granted, when I did cardio, I worked up a sweat and I couldn't walk properly for a time after it, but...

We did only upper body today. Biceps, triceps, laterals muscles, etc. It didn't feel too good right after we did it, but now I feel awesome. ^_^ I can tell I've had a good workout, and that makes--I don't know, eccentric? I mean, it's not really happiness, but it's a strong feeling of something.

So, afterwards we went home, and I had a protein-healthy-shake-thing that we had around the house in abundance. I've had three of those so far in the past few days. They're a quick and easy substitute for a meal, and they have 42 grams of protein in each packet. And since Becky suggested I get more protein in, these work well for me.

Shortly after working out, we went down to Groton Utilities Day picnic, or whatever it was. I got a little squishy baseball and a hackee sack from a couple of the games there. There was a cute girl there, and her family sort got there the same time mine did.

Since we got there the same time, our families stopped by each of the attractions at roughly the same time. So, being the brazen fellow that I am....

I stole glances at her when I thought she wasn't looking. >_>

While we were there, I was accosted by my friend Caroline's mother. Caroline had been one of the other applicants for the page position at the library, one who didn't get the job. Mrs. Gunning playfully jabbed at me for "stealing" her daughter's job. :p

We went to visit my dad at the gold course, and because the weather was turning sour, we drove some of the golf carts out to the course's garage. I enjoy driving golf carts almost as much as I enjoy riding on the back of them. ^__^ I think the driving is good practice for when I actually get behind the wheel of a car. >_>

Better than bumper cars, anyway. =P

I'm babysitting tonight from 7:30 to 12-ish, which is why you're graced with this early evening post. I'll be watching the St. Lousises again, and hopefully I can get some reading done after they've all gone to bed. I'm nearly done with Flags of Our Fathers, and I'm confident I can fly through the classic novels without much trouble. Then, on to the history book + paper. v_v

Ben's Yu-Gi-Oh Report

I think I'm going to have to adjust the deck I'm using. Not dismantle it entirely, because it's worked fairly well most times I've used it. It's Monster Destruction themed, so every time John manages to get out one of his powerful monsters, it goes almost straight to the Graveyard.

In my last duel with John, he had used up all of his recursion cards (cards that bring back monsters) simply because I kept destroying everything he brought back or brought out. It had turned into a battle of attrition, really. I was nearing the end of my deck (a deck, by the way, with few monsters) and he still had stronger ones to spare. Which is how he beat me. Had I lasted one turn more, I would have won. We both went through what we had, and John even admitted that he could not have stopped my next move, which would have finished him.

Ergh. Yeah.

I need to get over to B&C's. That's where all the good cards are, and all the best duelists. Rare cards abound, and I've never been there. :p

I shall have to go there after my first paycheck comes in. ~_^

Hmmm....what else can I talk about.....?

Ideas are welcome.
