Bleh.
*reluctantly sets aside Gamecube controller*
It took me a full fifteen minutes to accomplish that. :o
*tilts head from side to side*
Now, first things first. Kei and I had a duel on AIM last night. Apparently, she had some new cards that she built a new deck out of. Before last night, her deck had been rather outdated and inconsistently effecient. [/politically correct] :p
Last night, though. Wow. She held the lead for the majority of the time, and we were at such odds with each other that it was rare that we actually made any offensive moves. It seemed like every card she played, I would destroy, and every one I played would be destroyed somehow as well. Back and forth, and back and forth. :o
A lot of times we both ended our turns without doing anything besides drawing a card. We simply did not have anything to do. :o
Then I drew my Cyber Jar, which would greatly replenish both of our depleted resources and provide an end to the duel! I stared at it a moment, and indicated such to Kei. I slowly and myseteriously set the card down by itself on the field. Kei was nervous. >>
I think she may have brought out a monster to attack it, but whatever the case, on my turn I activated Cyber Jar. We both got five cards; she had four monsters immediately go to the field, I had 2, or something. But the three Spells and Traps that I drew practically assured my victory. Ceasefire, which would stop the special abilities of most of the monsters she just brought out, and at the same time it would take a chunk out of her LifePoints. 3000 from her 5800, I believe it was. The duel was winding down. I had out my Airknight Parshath, which would deal damage no matter which position her monsters were in. I powered it up excessively and ran over one of her smaller monsters, bringing her down to a measley 700. Then I activated another Trap: Ring of Destruction. It destroyed one of her monsters and did 1700 damage to both of us. Bye bye Lady Kei. >___>;;
Seriously though, the middle of that duel was just crazy. Not that it was really full of action, but just for the fact that it wasn't. We went back and forth at each other so much that nothing significant really happened until I played Cyber Jar. Which is....just...crazy. x___X;;
I had four cards left in my deck out of forty when the duel ended. On my fifth turn from there or sooner, I would have lost by default. :0
....craziness. Now if only I could find where I saved the duel. >>;;
"So Ben, How Was Your Day?"
This morning was considerably miserable for me. I was up late last night playing Yu-Gi-Oh with Kei and talking on AIM, so I only got a few hours of sleep. v_v;; I didn't want to get up in the morning, and my mom had to wake me up a number of times before I actually got out of bed. Then I had to take a shower, because I had neglected to last night and I was still pretty craptastic from last night's practice.
So I took my shower, and grabbed a low-carb-shake-thing for breakfast. It wasn't great, but it was better than nothing. My dad drove me to school, because my mom would have been late to work had she driven me.
When I arrived at school, I realized that we had a free dress day today for the cost of $2. I had totally forgotten, and so I was in my uniform. The money was for a good cause, though, so I paid the $2 and wore my hoody throughout the day. I was nice and warm and comfortable. ^_^
Period A: Honors French IV
We went over the next section in our book, which is about the imperfect tense. It's still a bit of a review, but Mr. Ayres wants to make sure we've got the tense down pat before we move onto something else. We translated a couple of questions together that we have to answer over the weekend, and got our last tests back. The test was on a French movie we just watched, called Diva.
It's been a while since I last saw a three-digit grade on my papers, and boy did I realize how much I missed them.
I got a 100! Yay! ^____^
Period B: Honors Pre-Calculus
The test in this class wasn't nearly as hard as the last one I had to take, which I didn't finish and took me about an extra half hour to come near completion.
I think I may have swapped two of the answers, but the general concensus among my classmates indicates that I got the rest of them right and the bonus question correct as well. ^_^ So, that ought to turn out well.
Period C: Honors English III
Mr. Lamoureux spent the period on a tangent-ridden rant concerning our last papers and the corrections that we should be making. I pulled a C off of my last paper, which I deemed to be fantastic. I barely formatted the paper, and it was poorly constructed. In other words, I knew it was crap, and I
m grateful for an average grade on admitted garbage. =p
I will get to rewriting just as soon as I talk to Mr. Lamoureux. On....Monday. Right. >>
Tomorrow's the Craft Bazaar up at school. I'm supposed to work at one of the food booths, for either Fencing or my class, but I don't know if I'll be going. I'd like to, as it's fun to hang out with people I know, and I enjoy selling clam chowder. =p Plus, I get service hours for going, which I am in short supply of at the moment.
I watched Pulp Fiction after work today, and I have Big Fish to watch sometime this weekend. Working at a library seriously rocks sometimes. ~_^
I'll get back to this post later on, but for now I'm diving back into Metroid Prime. v____v;;;
