Mon ordinateur....is bad.
My computer's acting odd. It's taking forever to load any page, and just about everything I do interrupts something else. I've run several virus scans, I've cleared off any number of unnecessary files, and I've defragged my computer several times since it started acting this way. There doesn't seem to be explanation for it, to me. *random thought* My laptop's coming up on its one-year anniversary. I remember I placed the order....the day after Thanksgiving, I believe. I'll have to check back and see when I actually got it and set it up.

School today went well, actually, which surprised the heck out of me. *tilts head upwards, presses palms together* Thank you!

I got caught up on most of the stuff I missed yesterday, and I don't have too too much homework for this weekend. After school, I found out that I had missed a test in Psychology yesterday, so I went and I did it. I do believe that I aced the darn thing. =D And not like "Oh, as long as I didn't screw up on that one problem I'll have aced it," more like "Dude. Test. I pwnerz j00."

The majority of the cast and crew stayed after school and hung out in the auditorium. After Mr. Ayres and Kevin were done fixing the lighting, we all watched some movies and ordered Chinese food. Now, it's a Saints Players tradition to go to this Chinese place called "Pagoda's" before the opening night show. After Pagoda's, the cast and crew heads over to the Norwich town mall and causes enough harmless mischief to be asked to leave. =p

But, we didn't do that this year, for some reason. Instead of breaking the tradition entirely, however, the food we got was from Pagoda's. ^_^

Lisa and I went over the script yet again and got all of the scene changes and lighting cues written down and double-checked. You'd think (and we thought) that we'd covered just about everything.

But you hadn't, had you?

No. No, we hadn't. There was one scene that we had to contact Kevin on our walkie-talkies and add in a blackout so that we could rearrange some stuff. That went off without too much trouble.

In one scene, Kevin turned the lights on too early. I had to rush off of the stage so as not to be caught onstage. For a few moments afterwards I was muttering unpleasantries concerning Kevin, until Lisa came over and apologized for signalling Kevin before I was offstage. We shared a quiet, nervous laugh, and then got back on with the show.

One other time, though, I was onstage still onstage when the lights were coming on. Lisa had cued Kevin before I was offstage because she couldn't seem me from where she was! O-o;; So, I was about halfway between our artificial garden wall and the curtain, a distance of about three feet. When the lights lit up, my Techie instincts took over and I leapt offstage, shivering from the excitement of near discovery.

Once again, Kevin screwed up the lighting. In one of the later scenes, he shut out the lights before one of the actors was finished giving her line. -___-;;

Lisa and I really wanted to get our hands on him after the show, but he had left! Just, up and and gone. >:\

Grrr....

So, tomorrow I'm going to rewrite our scene change and lighting cue pages so that there is no confusion whatsoever. Everything will be done perfectly. With two nights and a day of practice, I sincerely hope that we'll have it down by tomorrow night.

Tomorrow night's also the cast party! ^_^ I don't know who's going, and who is staying overnight. I shall have to find out and decide whether or not I wish to sleep there also.

Yeah. 'Night. :o
