Update: Hooray!
I was spurred into action updating MyOtaku when I discovered that Arcadia and The Harlequin, crafty scum Mods that they are, just surpassed me in MyO popularity. I just passed them a couple days ago, gosh darnit! :p

So, from now on I want everyone who visits here to double, no, quadruple the amount of times that you visit! Spur me to victory!

Heh. That wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

For those of you that don't already know, my laptop arrived on Thursday. It was a pleasant surprise for me because the Dell website had told me that it would only be shipped on Friday. Apparently there was some misunderstanding there.

So, I have the laptop that I've been craving for years to get. All that money saved from birthdays and Christmas' past, denying myself those minor things I wanted, has finally paid off. (pardon the pun :p)

So, I brought it into my room upstairs and went through all the first time start-up procedures and stuff. Then I got down to business. I watched my favorite scenes from X-Men United and Matrix Reloaded, the only two DVD's that I own. (Edit: Two of three) Then I installed Life and played a round of that before going to bed.

Oh, here's a funny little story from Thursday.

Me and my friends, John and Mark, left our lunch period early to go play Yu-Gi-Oh in some secluded part of the school. If we were to play in public, we'd be mercilessly ridiculed and probably have our cards destroyed, damaged, and/or taken away.

So, we checked the Student Activities office; too many people. We try the nurse's office, again, taken up with people. We went to the computer lab; there's a class going on. So, my friend Mark suggests we play in a secluded stairwell near the front of the school. We go there to find that it's empty, and yet quite chilly. Mark and I duel (I don't remember the result) until the bell rings.

When it does, we hop down from the landing we had been playing on to find that the door was locked. We pounded on it, but there was no one around and the door wouldn't budge. Desperate for a way to get to class, (we have three minutes in between periods) we run through the outside door and across the front yard of the school; this could have merited us a detention and/or a suspension. John and Mark run around the wall and then up the stairs. I just ran across the lawn and leapt over the wall. We run inside, breathless and cold. I grin at one of my other friends, saying: "It's pretty cold outside." He gives me an odd look and I walked to my next class.

Yesterday was rather uneventful, as far as Fridays go. Classes were shortened due to a Pep Rally we had. During the Pep Rally, I went up from the stands with the rest of my Fencing Team to an onslought of jeers and catcalls. We're not the most popular team at the school....

We are not, however, the minority any longer. This year we have a rifle team and it's smaller than our fencing team. Until just recently, I had been a part of that team as well.

It started snowing after I got home and it was still going when I left to babysit at 6:30. I babysat until about 11:30, went home, ate some Chinese food and started watching X-Men United. I watched that until about 12:15 when my dad told me to go to bed. It's nice having a laptop in my room.

I woke up this morning and finished watching X-Men. The rest of today has been spent cleaning my room, moving stuff upstairs, and of course, talking to people online and writing this.

Phew....long post.
