   Agh! The self-control, it hurts!
So, here I am at 8:44 at night after a day of school, three hours of work, and an extra hour of homework at the library. The urge to play World of Warcraft is nauseating. Only, I can't, because I have much work to get done.

Well, technically I can, but I'm determined not to until I get all of (or an acceptable amount of) my homework done. It....is....agonizing. v_v

I've been much more organized in keeping track of my homework lately. I'm actually using my new assignment book, and constantly looking back into it to check things. Today, I actually started writing in the date, and subjects! I'm actually molding myself into a more organized, self-controlled individual.

Yay?

I had Off first period, which allowed me to type up the essay answers to my English test and to compare my test to those of my classmates. Following Off, I went to Sociology. We watched a movie about poverty in the late 80s, and how many people were ensnared in a downward spiral of welfare. They're at the point where they can't survive without the welfare, and any attempt at getting a job (which could not initially provide enough for their family) would disqualify them from welfare. Life sucks for them, to put it mildly.

I took a test in French today. Other than the vocabulary section, where I think I royally screwed up, I think I did pretty well. The grammar and the concept stuff I understood, so I expect a low to mid B, depending on how Mr. Ayres grades them.

After French was Pre-Calculus. Yay for me, I actually understood what we were doing! :D I totally lost it over the weekend (the knowledge of how to do the problems), but I was fortunate enough to reaffirm my learning today. Test on Wednesday. w00t

LUNCH - > Talked to Tim about WoW.

Following lunch was English. We corrected our latest test, and went over some of Emily Dickinson's poems. Somewhere along the line, Mr. Lamoureux took an old adage and twisted it. The result being:

"If you love someone, let them go. If they return to you, they love you.

And if they don't return, stalk them."

Heh. English class can be fun a times. Mr. Lamoureux also passed back our papers, much to the dismay/dread of the class. I was happy with the result, though. I got a B+! Yay! My highest grade so far on my papers for him. On the first try, anyways. He encourages us to rewrite and resubmit our papers for a higher grade. I've yet to do so with my papers. >.> But I really do intend to, at some point. =p

After English we technically had Theology. That is, we were in the Theology classroom with our Theology teacher, but were doing something totally different. Mr. Pagliuca was there (the head of our Guidance department) and he had our PSAT scores and tests. He passed them all out, and then started a spiel on our futures and planning for college and such.

I was a bit surprised at my results this time. I had expected to do worse than before. >.>

Last time, my rough SAT equivalent grade was 1150.

This time, I got a 1350. ^______^

I scored (the approximate equivalents to) a 750 in the Critical reading section, a 600 in the math, and a 730 in the Writing Skills section.

I scored better than 99% of Juniors in the Critical Reading, better than 83% in Math, and better than 96% in Writing. ^_^

Overall, I scored better than 98% of college-bound Juniors. I-just....wow. My parents were both very happy, and all of my friends hate my guts. =p

The national average for each section is 490, we were told. Like...whoah.

Last period I had Psychology, and we finished up our pretests to get ready for our test tomorrow. I intend to ace it, just like the last one. :D

It snowed a bit today after school, and then it hailed. It was very very cold out, and there was a touch of a breeze. New England weather rocks. =D

Ergh. I was going to write more, but I've got to go do homework and take a shower. Wish me...um....sleep? Fortitude?

...

Something positive. >.>
