Must....update...
I finally got my Internet working again! As it turns out, my virus-protection software was the problem. ¬_¬ I uninstalled it and installed Norton's instead. That cleared things up after a few hours of toil. My Uncle was over for my dad's birthday party, and he helped me get it back together.
Oof...a bunch has happened since I last had a meaningful post.....
Well, I fenced in the JV Tourney last weekend. After a few bouts to get an approximation of ranking, I was placed 28th out of 67 participants. Only the top 32 were permitted to continue on. I was lucky to scrape through. ^_^
Unfortunately, my first Direct Elimination bout (you lose, you're out) was against one of my own team mates. He's a lanky left-handed Senior. Neither one of us liked the arrangement, but there really wasn't much we could do. Either way our team would lose a chance at winning. I was in a mental bind. If I lost, I was out of the competition; if I somehow mirculously won, I would have knocked out one of our better chances at winning.
I lost, 15-3. I had somewhat expected to lose, but I struggled to keep that thought from dominating my thinking. He had already had 5 points when I got my first one. Having gotten the point, I raised my arms up and hopped giddily. Yes....yes I did...:p
Since then a tentative rivalry has formed between the two of us. (*rolls eyes* Just what I need, another rival...) We give each other mock-evil looks and glare. It's fun. :p
Um, let me see. What else....
I had an overnight Lock-In with my church Youth Group last night. From 7PM to 7AM we could not leave the building. We had pizza, snacks, and drinks. Some of us played video games, others played basketball; lots of stuff happening. Every Lock-In we have, we play Man Hunt at Midnight. We turn off all of the lights in the building (it's actually a school) and hide. It's really very fun. I actually made it back to the base two or three times. Heh...good fun....
I had another fencing meet this morning, so I got a few hours of sleep at and after the Lock-In. Not enough that I should be up right now, but hey, I just got my Internet working again. A post is due.
Anyways, I didn't end up fencing at the meet this morning, as only Varsity was fencing today. I was already suited up, so I just did a few drills to improve my point control. Basically, I poked a doorknob a heck of a lot of times.
The Seventy-Five Cent Empire a.k.a. the S.F.C.E. has actually been pooling its resources. People within the organization have actually begun collectively gathering their money towards a hitherto unseen common goal. I'm glad that it is actually beginning to work. Surprised, but glad. Anyone else interested in joining the S.F.C.E. contact me for details.
W.H.A.T.E. is lacking posts, as usual, and my hands are tied since I made the last post. I could edit it and repost it, but it's already a hefty post. Heh, that and I like cliffhanger-ish posts. :p I'm actually looking for more people to post in it if anyone is interested....
I fully intend to post in Shinmaru's RPG tomorrow but I will make no promises. It would be possible to do, since my internet is functioning again, but I don't know if I'll be up to it with little sleep and a busy day. Bah...intentions are useless...
I'm going to repeatedly make use of the line
"I was cursed by a wizard named Random." in the RPG.
I really must be going now, I have a Pancake Breakfast to work at tomorrow morning and sleep to catch up on, too.
Seeing everyone writing letters to each other makes me want to get into it, too. Does anyone want to be my penpal?
