What's the Deal with Mushrooms?
I just finished eating chicken lo mein, which happened to have mushrooms in it. I carefully picked them out and deposited them in the trash can. Such is the way I deal with mushrooms. Yesterday, I went to a pizza place. Eric, Steve, and I ordered a chicken cacciatore pizza. I found out when it arrived that their were mushrooms on and under every other inch of the pizza's cheese. After carefully picking them out for several slices, I developed a working system for eating the pizza.
1. Tilt pizza sideways.
2. Separate the cheese & toppings from the crust with fork.
3. Eat the sauce-infused crust.
4. Pick mushrooms out of cheese and other toppings.
5. Eat cheese and other toppings.
It was messy, let me tell you. >.> Oh, and by the way, I don't like mushrooms.
Not much happened yesterday during school, so I won't bother getting into too much detail. We had a 12:00 dismissal due to inclement weather *insert laugh* that didn't come about until a little before midnight last night.
I had Off last period, so I loop-holed my way out of school early, claiming that one of the two Seniors I was with was my ride home. The Secretary was nice and let me go.
We went to the pizza place I mentioned above via Steve's truck. I was privileged enough to learn what the "jump seat" of a truck was, and even forced allowed to ride in it. The seat was about a foot by a foot long and maybe three inches thick. It came off of the wall in the cramped back of the truck. Whee...
After eating, Steve dropped me off at Sacred Heart, where I chatted with a few friends for a while, marveling at the immaturity of a few of them. I was soon driven home by a friend of my dad's.
I went home, did a little bit of homework, and started watching Shrek on my dad's computer. I got quite warm and quite cozy. I dozed off a couple of times before actually falling into a full sleep. I woke up as the credits started playing. I exited the movie, and went up to my room. Naptime. I got a couple of hours of sleep, which was just fantastic.
I got up, ate some Chinese food that my dad had brought home, and then came back upstairs to my room. I inevitably entered "tehsillycircus" that evening, and stayed there until 1-2 in the morning. It was snowing hard, and I hoped very much that school would be cancelled, or else I was screwed. :p I shook my fist at the unseen snow plows that I knew were out clearing the streets.
I woke up this morning at 8-something, noted the time and guessed that school had been cancelled. I fell back asleep. I woke up at about 10-something; noted the time and went back to sleep. Then after fitfully sleeping for about another hour, I finally got up. Fitful or not, sleep for that long was very helpful.
I had leftover Chinese food for breakfast, heh. Then I went upstairs, did some random Otaku-related stuff, and built myself a new Yu-Gi-Oh Deck. I also built one for my younger sister to use, as she left hers at our aunt's house. We played Yu-Gi-Oh for a few minutes before I got a phone call from my godmother. She wanted me to shovel her steps and walkway so that my godfather (who had been out since 4:00AM plowing the streets) wouldn't have to do it when he got home.
So I spent a little while shoveling her steps, her walkway, and the sidewalk in front of her house. I was given $20 for the job and $50 with a belated birthday card. Then I listened as she gushed over her new granddaughter, and I looked at the pictures she had of the adorable little baby. I love my Aunt Rosemary. :)
I came home and finished up my Yu-Gi-Oh duel with my sister. She had eliminated one of the four cards of the combo I was trying to get out, which was rather disappointing. I stopped holding back at that point and mopped the floor with her. We dueled again, and again she foiled the combo. I beat her into the floor. (figuratively speaking :p)
Several hours later and here I am. Alive still, and angry at my Internet connection. It just randomly kicks out, and sometimes right back in. It's very frustrating.
