Pfft...pfft...pfft...*points* "Inflatable Update."
Well, I went to the dentist's office today. I just found out that I even had one yesterday. :p This normally wouldn't be a problem, except that the soccer team's first game was today and I had to miss it. :-( Major bummer.
As it turns out, they lost 3-1 with another shot coming very close to going in. (It got past the goalie but was blocked by another opposing player.)
Hmm, going backwards to school hours.
G Period: Honors World History II
Test, which I barely finished. The teacher is incredibly awesome (his name is Rhonan!), so I'll probably get a good grade on it.
H Period: Honors French III
Regular class period, with me finishing my homework in the minute before class. It's a bird course for me. (I 'fly' right through it') I really don't know where my natural understanding of French comes from, it's frightening...
A Period: Off.
I spent a good deal of time trying to get my hands on a Community Service form, only to find that they're on file and are not allowed to be removed. I have to actually walk into the Campus Ministry Office and fill it out there. Major pain in the butt, that is. I applied for Sophmore Senate while there. (explanation later)
B Period: Chemistry
Another relatively easy course, we don't actually do much in it. It's the teacher's first year here, so he seems a little unsure of himself and what he can do. We spend most of the time talking about the same chemistry subjects over and over again.
C Period: Theology II
Heh, Mr. Leone is kind of funny. He's trying to get us caught up with the other class, but presents something else to us with the certainty that it'll "just take a sec." (Un)Fortunately, we rarely get around to the catching up part...
D Period: Photography
Today was a breeze. Almost literally, you might say. We were given free reign of the school to find and take three pictures each. My group went outside, where it was nice, cool, and windy. I took pictures of a large satelite dish being overgrown by a plant,a half-buried/broken playground toy, and tree trunk and branches. Heh, the last was just to use the film...
Period E: Algebra II
Eh, we're covering stuff that I've already done before. But I like math, and what we're doing is easy. My teacher said it's a good idea for me to take a break from the Honors math classes.
What bugs me is that there's this big doof in the front row who passes back his pencil to be sharpened everyday. I try to refuse, but he gives me a rather stern look, along with reproachful stares from all around me, seeming to say "Just do it."
I despise this boy now. And I'm sure he's not overly fond of me either now. Our teacher caught him in the act of receiving his sharpened pencil. The doof puts up a lame excuse which the teacher obviously doesn't appreciate. Tells him it's disruptive. I pray he'll never pass that pencil back again.
I'm afraid that I'll break it. >:/
That would not be good, I think.
Ah yes, Sophmore Senate. Apparently, an election was held last year during our lunch period to vote on our class officers for this year. No one in my class recall this event, and yet we were visited by our President and Vice President this morning. They were there to announce the formation of the Sophmore Senate. Basically, it's just a Student Council made up of reps. from each homeroom, but the Campus Ministry person who go up in flames if we called it one.
So it's called the Sophmore Senate. I applied this morning during my Off period. Hopefully I'll be able to do something for my ill-represented homeroom. :p
I really don't have anything against our President and Vice President, they are excellent choices for the posts. It seems to me to be kind of like why the 13 colonies rebelled against England: Representation. No one I have talked to remembers these elections, and yet we have our two smiling Executives standing before us. I feel that I must get to the bottom of this.
More to come later tonight...
