*yawn* Today, today, what to say about today...
School stuffs first...
Day G
Period H: Honors French III
Got some quizzes back, good grades. Did some excercises and was warned about a quiz on Tuesday.
Period A: Off
I was spazzing out most of the period. The dreary weather, rather than having a calming effect, seemed to merely heighten my boredom and drive me to twitch and spout...eh... sounds, I guess.
Having it be an hour long did not help at all. >.<
Period B: Chemistry
Did an experiment with chromatography paper and alcohol. :p Heh, I did this in like, 7th grade already. We got homework, as always.
Period C: Theology II
Another day of "we'll just do this for a minute" followed by "oh well, time's up. We'll catch up on Monday."
Period D: Photography
Helped my spazziness a little bit. About 12 of 20-ish students in the class went through and around the school to take pictures. I stayed inside, doing nothing. Not helping the spazziness. Then we saw one of the groups outside, so we went out too. It was great, being outside in the cloudy, cool, windy weather. It greatly helped to calm me.
Period E: Algebra II
Quite a bit of a mess. Our teacher wasn't there, so we sat in the classroom and chatted for around five minutes. The topic at hand was an incident that ahd just taken place in the hallway. So-and-so had pushed sO-aNd-sO into a window, breaking it. No further details reached my ears.
Then another teacher came in to sub and informed us that our assignment, which our real teacher had said was due on Monday, was now due at the end of class. Near the end of class when nearly everyone had finished and was chatting, the sub apparently got nervous. She quieted us several times. Then she gave a boy in the back a detention for softly banging his head against the wall in a display of obvious boredom. She didn't bother asking who was making the noise, nor did she ask whoever was making it to stop. She merely waited for several minutes. Then, when she saw who it was, she gave him a detention for "deliberate disruption of class."
That was fricking ridiculous in my opinion. It just wasn't fair. he kid should have at least gotten a warning before assigned a detention. I'd like to have words with the Principal about that...
Period F: Honors English II
Eh, discussed the Book of Ruth from a literary point of view. Normally I'm good with things written in verse, and with "thee's" and "thou's", but this book was different. It was in what must have been a foreign form of the ancient writing, because I had difficulty wringing consistency from it. :p
We got our summer reading tests back. I landed a 72, I believe. I've been maintaining a 70+ average so far, and that's got me somewhat worried. Normally I'm much better at English. I'm convinced that it's just the way my new teacher teaches, but I still don't like the moderate grades.
Heh, I did the best on the section devoted to the book Mythology. It's funny because it was supposed to be a continuation of the mythology section (of our course) that we were supposed to do last year, but never got around to. So, that's good, I guess.
Eh, I went for my 3+ mile walk today. My dad drove the route that I walk and the meter read a 3.8 mile distance. It's probably less than that, though, since I don't turn as wide as our van does. That's got me pretty tuckered out. :p
Post later, probably.
