*clears throat*
I'm feeling a bit better today. I got to bed rather late last night. I stayed up and played Yu-Gi-Oh: Falsebound Kingdom until 2-ish in the morning. It seems that my illness is particularly active whenever I try and sleep. I cough more and my chest hurts even more, because I'm lying down on it.
I think I eventually went down to the couch to sleep. I could prop myself up slightly on the cough and that seemed to help. My inhaler certainly didn't. =/
I used my inhaler once this morning, and then played several hours of Yu-Gi-Oh: F.K. I got much farther in the Kaiba campaign than I ever could have imagined doing in the Yugi one. It just goes to show that evil is better than good, I guess. :p
When the time came to use my inhaler again, I felt fine. I saw no reason to. I wasn't coughing all that much, and the coughs themselves weren't that bad. Then I had a coughing fit. I used the inhaler.
I found no peace for the rest of the afternoon. Cough after cough after cough; it was awful. I decided not to use my inhaler again for a while to see what would happen. I took some Advil to abate the pain that had once again welled up in my chest.
Here I am, hours since the last time I used my inhaler. I feel better than I had this afternoon, perhaps even this morning. My runny nose is tolerable and I haven't coughed since I got on the computer.
Enough about that, though. I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about my illness.
No pun....joke...irony...thing intended there. -_-;;
I played Halo for PC for another portion of the day. I don't know what it is, butt here's something really satisfying about smacking aliens with a rocket launcher. Not shooting them with it; that'd be overkill. Just walking up to them and bashing them in the head with the huge piece of weaponry. Irony. Fun. Yeah....
What I also like doing is using the regular pistol. I bash one guy in the head with the butt of it, the gun flips around into the correct position, and you fire, all in one smooth motion. It's good for taking out several weaker enemies in quick succession.
Shield-bearing enemies are fun to play with, too. They hide behind their little laser-shields, shooting you from a little cleft in the side of the shield.
Ben's methods of dispatching shield-bearing enemies.
1. Shoot them right where the cleft is, they'll be shoved sideways, leaving them open.
2. Walk right up to them and bash them with your fist/gun. They never see it coming.
3. Throw a plasma grenade at them, the kind that sticks to shields. ~_-
4. Use something else that's explosive. :D I like explosions. _^_
5. Bombard them until the shield is moved out of place. Not nearly as much fun as some of the other options.
Vehicles in Halo are immense amounts of fun as well. Flying around in the Banshees is fun, but a little too easy. There's nothing really that can harm you when you're way up in the air.
Ghosts are fun, but easy to lose control of. :p
Warthogs would be nicer if some NPC could drive and I could take one of the gunning positions. =/ I'm not a very good driver.
The tank is fun, except there always seems to be an extra Marine tagging along that gets run over.....
Not to mention when I shoot something too close to me and kill the Marines sitting on the side. *cough* ._.
Ever since I beat Prince of Persia last week, I've just about run out of things to do that I haven't done already and still want to do; things to do while I'm sick and stuck in the house.
(Oh shoot, I just coughed. o.o)
I'd like to go to Sacred Heart this week. They have daycare from 7-5 and they allow kids to play Yu-Gi-Oh in their free time, which is often. I'd like to go crush the hopes and dreams of little children play Yu-Gi-Oh with some kids.
Not to mention, if I go down, my younger siblings go down, too. It would be nice to not be responsible for them for a little while. I've been watching them for the past several days, since I'm supposed to stay home.
Who would have thought I could write so much with such an uneventful day to work with?
Not me, certainly. :p
I'll see you all later. Hopefully I continue to feel better. -_-
