Busy days...
Well, I'll try keep things short, but that probably won't happen. So, here's what I can whip together about the past two days.
Friday Night.
Friday during the day wasn't of much consequence, other than the Pep Rally, which was your ordinary St. Bernard's mildly interesting Pep Rally that doesn't help us win anyways. So, that was fun.
I actually went to the Homecoming game, which was a big step for me, socially. Although, I didn't really talk to anybody but my Fencing teammates and my coach. I did actually work at the Concession stand, as I mentioned previously and had a good time doing it. I was the soda guy, handing the counter people sodas from the fridge at my back. A relatively effortless job. But fun. :D
The bonfire afterwards was great, simply because I got in. I think it's ridiculous that you need to buy a ticket to the Homecoming dance to get in to see the bonfire. I plan on fighting that technicality in the coming years.
But, with a under-handedness that I didn't know she possessed, my mom got me in by having me tag along as she fetched my little brother away from the bonfire. So, I got to watch as my friends (who make up the majority of the Tech Crew) tried to get the music to play. We were missing a small adapter worth about 30 cents. We could not play the music without it. So, when the fire was low and the firemen struggled to keep it alive, we finally got the music going. Distorted, needing constant adjustment, and switching songs in the middle of another one; but we got stuff playing. It was going almost good when the owner of the music came running over, saying: "Shut it off! shut it off!"
I can't remember the exact words that blared through the speakers, but I knew that one of them was very "unnacceptable." The owner ran away momentarily. But still, it was a good time.
Today (peers at clock) or rather, yesterday.
I stayed in bed until 2:00 this afternoon. I was disgusted with myself. I wasn't actually asleep, just kind of in an in-between phase. I am in this phase often in the morning, but to not to 2:00. :p
So, having wasted most of my day, I played Neverwinter Nights for quite a while. I'm getting very far with my halfling/Monk guy. I've gotten farther with him that I did with my half-elf Fighter that I accidently deleted. :p
After that, I didn't go to Homecoming, due to plans that had been changed on me. It was fortunate, therefore, that I did not buy a non-refundable Homecing ticket earlier yesterday. The initial plan was to play laser tag, but the place wasn't working, so we went to dinner at Friendly's and went to see "The Rundown." That was a pretty good movie, with a couple funny lines in it. I didn't like some of the fighting though, simply because it was too disjointed; you could only catch a vague hint of what was actually going on.
So, then I came home after humorous antics in the parking lot, including me chasing down one of my friends. No one really expected me to be able to do it, he being of a much thinner and lighter frame. I enjoyed showing them of my hidden abilities. :D
Heh, I'm terrible at keeping these things short. I'll post later on more antics in my life. :D
I really miss OB...
