   I am content, I guess.
Whoo! Contentedness at last!

I had to get up early today so we could pick up Christina and bring her up to St. Bernard's with us. I was ready at about 6:30; about half an hour earlier than normal. As it happened, though, my dad passed by Christina and her mom in their car, and I had to sort of blurt gibberish out to get him from going too far.

"Them-Christina-Left!"

So, my dad drove us (me, my sister, and Christina) to St. Bernard's. I delivered Christina to the Vice Principal's office, where she was introduced to the student she was shadowing. Coincidentally, it was a Sacred Heart Alumni by the name of Karen. So, at least they knew each other to a degree.

Another girl from Christina's class was shadowing today, too. Her name's Melina, and she's the sister of one of my classmates, Nadia. The person she was assigned to left school sick, and so Melina was passed around like a dog on a short leash, until she eventually wound up following Christina and Karen.

I saw them on and off throughout the day, waving and smiling and such. As it turns out, Karen is in the same Off period as me, so I got to talk to Christina and Melina, and duel John. Karen sort of abandoned the two of them at one point, though, and got in a bit of trouble for it. Karen had been hanging out in the nurse's office, which Christina and Melina didn't care to do for half an hour. So, they left to go to the restroom. They had to wait for the middle school kids to pass on their way to lunch, though, and so their trip took a bit longer.

Perhaps me talking to them took up some of that time, too....meh. Karen shouldn't have been their shadow. They had none of the same classes, except Theology, and none of the same interests. The shadowing program is supposed to match up shadows with students with similar interests. They totally screwed up here.

Karen herself asked: "Why are you shadowing me? I'm dumb."

Christina went into Karen's math class, heh. She had learned at the beginning of the school year how to do the problems Karen's class was just now learning how to do. They have Mr. Walker, though, who is not a very good teacher. I think that he's in denial about the fact that his students don't learn anything.

Anyways, my dad showed up after school to pick us up so we didn't have to take the bus. On the way home Christina and I talked about her day and about the school. I think she said that she thought it was better than Sacred Heart, which would be a plus. I'd love to have her there. :D

My dad dropped her and my sister off at Sacred Heart. There was still about a half hour left to the school day, and Christina actually had to go to class, heh. My sister was there to punch in for working the daycare program.

I went home, got changed and did some random stuff online; webcomics, MyOs, and stuff. Then I went back to Sacred Heart for a while.

While we were waiting to go outside, Christina and Victoria did a little prediction game called M.A.S.H. Predicting my future, incidentally.

According to the sheet, I'm going to marry Amanda, a freshman from my fencing team, have 12 kids, and live in Antarctica. I'll have a black tux for my wedding, and Amanda will have an orange dress. I get a "mystery car", pink in color. My house, incidentally, is a green igloo. I'm going to go on honeymoon in Alaska and I'm going to bring my pet dog. Unfortunately, I get struck by lightning and die. Amanda gets a new car and some paper flowers, while one of my son's takes over my job as a greeter at my sister's hotel.

I suppose it could be worse. _^_

When we went outside, we played keep away with a soccer ball. Middle schoolers and me versus everyone else. It got rather violent after a while, with people grabbing and tripping and such. Luckily we went in soon after for snack. After snack we went back outside. Christina and Victoria played a basketball game called Knockout with a few other kids.

I don't like basketball much. Everyone around me always seem so much better than I envision myself, and so I don't play. I was most adamant about it.

The two of them cracked me like an egg. >_>

They got me to play Around the World, a game where you take shots from all around the hoop to try and reach the other side of the hoop. I wound up going the farthest before I had to leave, and I actually made a number of shots that I never would have expected I'd make. The two of them hassled me because I had said I wasn't good. I guess I'm playing something basketball-related tomorrow. :p

After daycare, I went to the library to pick up a book for my English paper due next Tuesday. I decided to read the play "Fools" by Neil Simon, and so I took out a book of his works. I went to Drop-In from there and read the play while watching Sister Act II and eating Chinese food. Then I came home and....yeah. Started typing this, I guess.

Recently, two people have tried to get me into two different kinds of music. David said he'd get me a few Rascal Flatts CDs, and today Raine gave me two copies of CDs by her favorite band. Rascal Flatts plays country sort of stuff, and Raine is into punk rock. Specifically, the band Coheed and Cambria. I've been listening to one of the CDs since I got home, and I am enjoying it. I'm not really paying attention to the lyrics, but the music is good.

Not that I'm any sort of judge when it comes to music, mind. I haven't a clue when quality is concerned. Or genre, for that matter. I'll listen to punk rock just as soon as a classical orchestra or some hick on a banjo.

So, all in all I've had a good day. I got work done on my English paper early, I've got new music to listen to, and I got to hang out with Christina extensively, and then both her and Christina after school. I discovered that I'm average at basketball, and not abysmal, I got a new library card, and John still can't beat me.

I could really go for a drink of something sweet, though. Maybe some iced tea or lemonade.

This Day in History: T.E. Lawrence, known to the world as Lawrence of Arabia, dies as a retired Royal Air Force mechanic living under an assumed name. The legendary war hero, author, and archaeological scholar succumbed to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident six days before. This happened on May 19, 1935.

Good Thing of the Day: Time with the girls again. ^__________^

Bad Thing of the Day: Kevin didn't show up at Drop-In.

EDIT: Sweet, I made it in just before midnight. :p
