One Puzzling Day
Yeah, um...I think I'm gonna start with the serious then end in the hilarious. ^__^ That way anyone who reads this won't get too affect by it.
Well, this sunday we were reading the papers just like any other sunday. The subject came up about how the democrats are starting to get paranoid about there being more Catholics on the Sumpreme Justices now. No offense, but they started bitching and all that crap. Some of my family and I talked openly about it.
We thought it was funny how some people say they are Catholic, but aren't really so. The best question you can ask someone whether they are or not is to ask if they are a "Practicing Catholic" which means do you go to church every sunday, do you go to confession, and all that rot that Catholics are SUPPOSE to be.
*Sigh* I think what bothers me most is how "Catholics" are now the equivalent to the Jewish religion. People see it as a cultural thing. Not that I am denying that there's a possibly it might be. Just that people are hating the religion and the people of it. Always suspecting a big conspiracy, always ready to accuse...they are teaching generations to hate...
One question that burned in my mind was, "Why do they hate us?" It was very sad to me, but still I wouldn't give up my religion just to be accepted in their eyes. It kinda reminded me when all the Catholics were being killed for what they believe in. All the Saint stories I read, man they truly are God's people..."Why do they hate us?" It makes me very sad...
...even more to see my family make jokes about protestants. I know we are all Christian and wonder why can't we forget what makes us different? My friend Ganymede is Christian, but not Catholic. I still love her and all my other friends. My family thinks I'm weird for going with her to her church things. Heh, probably worried they might convert me.
But no...I have my beliefs she has hers and we don't try to prove each other right or wrong. Why can't others, all the media, people...why can't they exist in harmony? Why can't they stop pointing fingers or accusing others? This place makes me very sad sometimes...
*Sigh* "I want to change the world." I said that to someone without thinking. I am very grateful towards that person for helping me discover what I really want to do with my life.
*Shakes off seriousness*
OKAY!! Let's see, I met up with Alisha today! ^__^ This morning to be exact. I hadn't seen her Friday because my classes for Friday were cancelled. HOORAY!! ^__^
We caught up some. She and Sindi and Clinton spent some time at the mall and from what I heard they had a blast. Sindi got her ears pierced and Clinton kept trying to find Alisha's style of clothing. They were actually doing stuff and analyzing clothes. (Especially the underwear!! LOL)
We went to the vending machines and ate breakfast. There was this odd yet comforting silence. She wanted to walk around because she was cold. When I got up she said, "Hey, look at that Asia with the bright red hair?" I hurried to get a look. The window looked like it sank in before it was actual glass. So I tried leaning my head against the glass to get a look. (I love asians!) But--WHAMM!!!!!---The glass tricked me!! It wasn't sunk in like the other side.
lol!! I stood there with my face pushed up the glass. Partially from the throbbing pain, but mostly from wondering what the hell happened.
Alisha started laughing her head off. I tried so hard not too because I hadn't find all my sandwich which was stuffed in my mouth still. Man, I have a bad habit of eating like a chipmunk or squirrel!! I ADMIT THAT!! AND IT'S HORRIBLE WHEN SOMEONE IS MAKING YOU LAUGH!!
